Month looks weak
Castestorm is a good game. But it has been released on about 8 different platforms already. Worth trying out if you haven't played it yet.

A F1 game from years ago? Nothing at all of interest for me.
F1 2013 is a better option than 2014 really.
I put tons of hours into it and there's classic f1 stuff that's neat for a bit. 2014 was a bit of a lazy game due to them focusing on 2015.

Whelp, file this one under shit GWG month.
Mafia 2 is...ok. It's a barebones open world GTA knock off. What's there isn't bad, just a shallow game that could have been much more.
Castlestorm isn't my kind of game. lol at F1.

That classic content is fantastic. Wish they could bring some of it across into F1 2015 this year for current gen.

Mafia 2 is an excelent narrative game. The spanish voice acting is the best I've heard.
Always wanted to try a F1 game, I guess I'm ok with it. Personally I don't care much about it to demand the latest version.

EDIT: Oh, it just worked!!! I did it on xbox.com, which I have been trying to the whole time.
I've been trying for a week, apparently it's a mismatch between my region on my account and my actual location. First time this happens. And I can't even change my region, their website doesn't work.

Castlestorm looks boring and unlike my type of game. But I'll maybe try it.
Mafia II is an awesome game, though I beat the shit out of it and don't know if I'd prioritize another playthrough over backlog playing right now. It'll be nice to play again someday, though.
And F1 is F1...boring.
Weak month overall. Both this and PS Plus. Tres disappoint.

Try clearing your cache, deleting any partial download of the game that exists on your HDD, start the download, and immediately turn off your Xbox. Do not turn it on until it finishes downloading it.
Because it's broken, freezes and crashes constantly, impossible to play a friend because it just crashes as they're loading the game, etc.
The game was clearly rushed out to make the GWG deadline, It's the most broken game I've ever played. I was actually looking forward to it as I do enjoy a good pool game. But I deleted that shit off my hard drive within 24 hours.

I haven't tried playing with a friend but it's my favourite online game these days.
No crashes, no problems, runs like a charm.
Single player runs perfectly too.
Yay for having no friends!I suppose.

Take comfort in the assurance that you missed very little of value.
I don't get the Judgment hate. Granted, it's not as good as the main games, and the lack of horde mode was disappointing, but it's still a solid third-person shooter.

360 isn't much better. Mafia II is a solid game. But, as seems to be the norm these days, it's very bare bones without all the DLC which, of course, is *not* on sale. MS really needs to make sure the DLC for the GWG is on deep discount at the same time if they aren't going to include it for free. F1 2013? I guess I'll give it a shot. These kinds of driving games usually put me to sleep though.

Ah I see this too late, no Army of Two for me. But I'm getting the same error with Mafia II, I'll try that. Thanks for the tip.
Yeah, my live was scheduled to expire last month, but I reupped for 3 months to get AssCreed IV, but now I'm kinda regretting it. It's only $20, but I haven't touched my 360 since I got my PS4 in December.

I've played with friends. Had no problems at all. Initial load times are a pain though.

Yeah, the whole thing is just a mess. That trick has worked for me for five games now. But it seems like everyone gets random problems that just ruin the entire thing.

That's weird. Every time me and a friend tried to join each others session, whoever was joining their game would freeze then crash back to the home screen. Tried hard resets etc, nothing fixed it, but we could both play vs randomers or the campaign fine (at least up until it crashed a few games later, anyways).
When did you try it? If it's recently, maybe they've fixed it since.
It's a phenomenal game imo – but I played it almost exclusively as a couch co-op game.
One of my favourite co-op games of all time.
However I know people who played it single-player and they thought it was solid, but not great.
If you've never played an RE game before, get Resident Evil 4. It will blow your mind. Masterpiece. And that'll open up the doors to Resi 5 (co-op brilliant) Resi 6 (action and co-op brilliant), Revelations 2 (co-op brilliance) and probably open the door for you into the earlier RE games. The REmaster is fantastic and Resident Evil 2 and 3 are great, too, but they play very differently to 4, 5, 6 and Revelations.
Edit: it's also worth knowing that Revelations is an episodic game. It'll be $2.99 for one episode - which is about 2-3 hours, plus 10 hours of Raid mode, which is great but needs a bit of a time commitment. There are 4 episodes total.

Nah but I have high expectations for next month. It's E3 month and first & second year anniversaries for GWG on xb1 and 360. They have to go big. It's time for Ryse or DR3. This is the month, it has to be.

If you haven't played through Mafia II and its DLC, I recommend it. It's one of those games that was better than it was given credit for. I really enjoyed it.

I picked it up (off and on resident evil fan) and I can say that it's really good. I didnt like the first Revelations game, but this one is solid and has some classic jump-out-of-your-seat moments.
Good find. Thanks for the heads up. I don't have the game yet but it's on my short list of games to get next time it goes on sale.
