Really glad these games are getting the chance to reach a wider audience, REmake and 0 deserve so much more commercial success than the treatment they got on Gamecube. Really fantastic games.

Also, judging from that admittedly very compressed screenshot, the background renders seem to be in much better shape than REmake HD. Maybe 0's background assets were produced in a higher resolution? idk, but it looks good.

I missed item boxes in the game. The drop shit everywhere mechanic becomes problematic, particularly if you're a hoarder.

Considering their effectiveness of replicating some of the FMV rooms in REHD, I wonder if they could take the time to do RE2....

Would likely be required to completely rerecord the dialogue/sound effects/ambience.

Actually I think the old OST would hold up... but not much else...

There goes that wasted potential for the CooP to work on the Wii U.

Capcom probably figures, much like REmake, that anyone on Wii U is just going to buy the already available Wii ports of REmake and RE0.

I mean, technically you're getting upscaled assets either way, and the game will still have all the original graphical effects due to the GC hardware being present. The only benefit to these versions is higher res character models.

I thought it was fine. Ended up using a couple select rooms as my item storage. Takes a bit to get used to but being able to drop items (and not throw them away!) was a much needed breath of fresh air to the item management, imo.

Ehhh, not a great game unfortunately. I'd put it a notch or two below Code Veronica. Still, kinda nice to see more classic style REs make their way to PC/modern consoles.

it's pretty bad. if you're really itching for classic RE, just replay one of the good ones instead.

aww I think your too hard on it.

Sure it just tries to hard to pull off fresh new ideas at the time but I loved it before the end of the game. It was the last gasp of the classic formula before I played 4.

Sure, even for me it's harder to get a feel for replaying it again, but I still think it deserves people's attention. Especially if they are fans of the series or interested in its roots and growth.

I thought the same thing. You have two characters to carry the puzzle items anyway. Most of the time the stuff you leave behind is worthless. When the story moves forward and bring the dropped items with you in a new location it's only a bunch of knives.

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
Its nice, though I don't think anyone will like this.

Easily one of the worse mainline RE title ever imo.

Cool
Zero gets a bad rep but its pretty good
Yeah. Zero was fun, if tedious at times. I enjoyed it less than most RE games but I was at least able to finish it.

Can't say the same for Code Veronica and RE6.

RE0 has some failed experiments but I found it to a have more interesting co-op component than the recent games. That's because RE0 was the last RE to feel at least partially like a puzzle game.

People are hard on it and I don't blame them since it released only months after the phenomenal REmake. At the same time, I always thought it was a 7-8/10 to REmake's 9/10. Easily recommended for fans of the series.

Played this for the first time this year and found it pretty mediocre. The character swapping starts out interesting but quickly gets stale, and the voice acting and cutscenes were cringeworthy.

Still probably gonna pick this up, though :>

I don't think I ever played this one actually =X, I don't hear much about it either.

But hey, I'll buy if this helps an RE2 HD to happen.

So I wonder, could this being unexpected late in release mean there's a possibility of RE7 this year? Because if they release this early enough in 2016, I believe it could technically be within the last quarter of 2015 if I'm not mistaken. So if they got RE7 out by later this year, that could mean they released one RE game per quarter of 2015 possibly?

Thread title is missing SHOCKING NEWS. Hope Capcom decides to truly remake Resis 2 and 3 as well.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Worst Kept Secret after that totally-not-the-XMB XMB leak.

I'll buy it on PC, but I find it to be a weak entry in the classic series. But probably better than Code Veronica/X so at least it has that going for it.

(Speaking of which: Port of Code Veronica X to Steam when, Capcom. So I can torture myself with it again)

Nice. Gives me some time to finish up RE before this comes out. Zero was my first RE game, and Gamecube game, so the nostalgia is strong with this one.

This game is awesome. You prove your classic RE skills if you can do a no save run, that's for sure. Will definitely be buying.

I think RE7 is going to be next year, in time for the 20th anniversary, with an announcement trailer at E3.

We're not getting this RE0 port this year because it probably takes a long time to redraw the original game the way they did with REmake, and I imagine it's the same team doing it, so they'll have been working on it for less than a year at this point.

It was the best of times, it was the bestest of times.

I can't wait to play this. RE0 was one of my favorite REs since I had very little RE experience when I played it. Everything seemed fresh and I enjoyed the way they handled co-op back then. RE5>RE0>>>>>>>>RE6 in the coop department. Hopefully they go the extra mile and deal with the item storage related complaints. Oh, and this game needs online co-op as bad as F-Zero GX needs online multiplayer. Just do it for us, Capcom.

Really want a physical Release, even if it is Asian market again.

I want it right there.
(Don't judge me for missing RE:REV2 I got it on steam, I'll pick up the PS3/PS4 copies later)
