Perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane.
Maybe we should readjust our expectations for current gen graphics, especially for open world games such as this.

It's the Final Fantasy game we're never getting

If wither 3 or mgs5 had anywhere near those graphics there would be hundreds of pages of posts talking about how bad it looks and how bad it is going to be but this game gets a pass why?

It's obviously not getting a "pass" because there are plenty of people like you in here whining about graphics.

Becomes baffled, curling up into a ball when confronted with three controller options.
Graphics look like crap from the video, but who cares as long as the game is good. Looking forward to picking this up in 2018.

What engine is this game using?

The lighting is bad, especially the outdoor areas. The dog and people animation are really stiff too.

I would not be surprised if this is a port from unfinished PS3, X360 version.

What? The lighting looks great imo. It's one of the things I'm most impressed with.

Love the vibrancy, but the environments look so similar to Fallout 3 and NV. Aside from the improved fidelity, what is the difference?
Color. No seriously, despite the game looking subpar graphically the usage of color saves it.

I'm begging for a 2015 release.

Disappointed they didn't share a release date, but I guess that's for E3.

I'm just surprised at how colourful it is.

Good point, but it wasn't the case for buildings with doors. But yeah I hope you're right. I mean fallout 3 had plenty of "open" broken down houses.

Oh, I see, right. Well, I really hope we don't get separate cells this time. It's pretty boring that way.

I thought there was a sign or something saying "Boston", but I guess you guys recognized it because of the landmarks. Bunker Hill, Revere and USS Constitution, lol, somehow I missed that.

I wish we could stop excusing them like this.
I mean this is a company that sold over 25 million copies of Skyrim and millions of their previous games. They have the budget to create those amazing visuals. Especially now when they have some actual competition from CD Projekt and next year Warhorse.

CD Projekt isn't competition, neither is Warhorse. You don't get amazing visuals from Bethesda, because their immersion factor is off the charts. No one, not even CD Projekt was making games like Morrowind, Oblivion or Fallout on the dated hardware that Bethesda was.

I fully expect the game to have very few loading screens, and tons more interactivity, this go round. They've spoke about it before as their next step.

In terms of detail and immersion, only Rockstar is in the same league as Bethesda, hence why both developers, get all the time and money, in the world to make whatever the hell they want. Witcher 3 is an excellent game, I enjoy it, but it doesn't come close to anything Bethesda has created.

A voiced character is a completely unwelcomed change. I don't want it.

Like I said, the benefit to having a voiced character in an RPG usually comes when you have a big increase in cinematics and cutscenes where you can have your player character doing things and actually see them talking and so on.

So either Bethesda does more cutscenes with the PC talking and doing stuff, which I don't really want in a Fallout/Elder Scrolls game or they still have them talking just for the sake of talking?

My concern isn't even that there is an option to turn off the PC talking but just what the cost of having to do a voice acted main character does to the writing and dialogue options.

Not really blown away looks wise but considering it looks like they're using gamebyro again I'm not exactly surprised either. I really hope they deliver with whatever gameplay they show at E3.

Artstyle seems good, love the colors.
Looks a little worse than I expected, but as long as they kept and improved Hardcore mode so I can growl at my Dog to establish dominance over water bowls I'm good.

Looks almost like Unreal 3 to me.

But, I have no proof.

It just has that Unreal 3 engine look to it.

The biggest graphical sore thumb was the dog. The animation of the dog was good enough, but its fur was just a flat texture on a rough polygonal model. With all of the TressFX and other hair-effects in current gen games (even Shadow of Mordor's protagonist had some furry cape), the focal point of your trailer not including something the PC could pull off fairly easily is kind of silly.
