What a terrible name. Black Tusk was much better.
The Coalition sounds like the name with a c-tier action movie.
TBF, Black Tusk sounds like a something Lorenzo Lamas would have starred in.

Phil has said its not a reboot. Phil doesn't like the idea of reboots for Halo/Gears
**Now in OP
The sequels will continue on the path set in the upcoming game, forsaking the direction of the original sequels, in order to carry it on beyond a trilogy. It's a reboot imo.
Wow, that's a terrible name. Suppose that cements them as Gears developers forever.
Its going to be called Gears of War 4, book it.
I kind of don't like that we have 3 studios only producing one franchise each. That really narrows down the variety and can easily over saturate the market with the franchise if they are looking to put out a game every year or two.
This looks bad-ass!
Yep. Numbered sequels always sell better. Just look at God of War Ascension.
Wait, how did you remember this?
In related news, Naughty Dog has been renamed Nate Dog studios. When you hear Nate, think of the Drake. Oh yeah.
I liked it better as Black Tusk and I also liked it better when they were working on this:
Not really, its on and off and fluctuates depending on what projects they currently have i think cause in 2012 and 2013 they released 4 internally developed games and 3 collab games.
2015 has 1 collab game released and no internalyet
The same Bungie that will be making Destiny for the next decade at activision ?Just like when MS let Bungie make a new IP.
Oh wait...
Yeah I think it is a better name. Black Tusk sounded a bit project namey.
It wouldn't be so bad if it were just the teaser but the game was actually in development for awhile, yes?Ah, Shangheist. Wish we could've seen what it turned into.
Immediately thought of the same thing. The Coalition of what, exactly? Wait, duh, let's check Wikipedia!Coalition of the Willing?
Lol.
Congrats. 343 Industries is a great name.
343 Industries: We took our name from the lackey of an established hyperpower that was meant to look over Halo, only to go insane, try and kill the Master Chief and ultimately became responsible for its undoing!

I'm just going of this Wikipedia list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCE_Japan_Studio
There seems to be a lot of collaborations from 2011.
There is nothing wrong about a studio collaborating with other projects. Microsoft Studios does also collaborate with their partners, but they usually do it under the publisher.

The Coalition of the Willing?
I thought MS said it was just a concept or did that end up not being true? Either way, I hope it's something that they eventually revisit for a new IP.Judging by the teaser it was probably in a really, really early preproduction state.
Maybe beause you do not get what I am trying to do.. I do not care about "Sony too", my message is: "When they get bored new IPs will come"
Halo factory, Forza factory, Gears factory. The trilogy is complete.
There's no problem with dedicated franchise studios if the result is well-reviewed and popular games. Particularly when the staff behind it choose to be there for that reason.
