E3 2015 Predictions & Discussion thread

Well... I hope there's not a lot of overlap for the Battlefront stuff since EA's conference is earlier then Sony's.

I don't mind third-party stuff but repeated demos/trailers are the worst.

$199 - Amazing price but it would mean it will be selling at loss
$299 - Correct price and respectable profit
$399 - Expensive it should have a price cut very fast

I think the best bet is going to be bundles with a PS4. But $299 is that I think would be the max reasonable price. With a $599 bundle with a PS4 and a game or two. $599!!

Do we have any rumors or unofficial Infos about MS outside of the gears of War remaster? Seems like they keep it close to their chest this year.

There might be some new info. Like a bundle, DLC but I really hope they announce a beta

To clarify, don't misconstrue what I said too, too much. I didn't mean something like a linear, heartfelt journey. Things like the enemies are "TLOU'ish" (not technically zombies). Scavenging, gathering supplies and the like somewhat similar.

Is it somewhat like State of Decay?

Sony presser prediction:
Uncharted 4's glorious demo opens the show
CoD Black Ops 3 demo
Indies
1TB PS4
Bloodborne expansion detailed
MM's new IP
Horizon
Bend's new IP
GT7
God of War in engine trailer, ends with 'more at PSX'
Battlefront demo
TLG closes the show.
Would be glorious if true, and come close to matching 09 if Morpheus is impressive.

I know you don't want to say many things about the game maybe, but is the game story focused ala The Last Of Us?

Add some Japanese games (Level-5, Persona 5, Tales of Zestiria, some Square Enix games), #BuildingTheList section, leave only 2 or 3 from Bend,GG,MM,GT7,TLG and GOW (seriously announcing all of them together would be pretty pointless), and we're in for a legendary E3.

I just landed in Los Angeles and passed the Los Angeles Convention Center. Saw some E3 banners along the way. This is the closest I've been physically to E3 and it's pretty surreal. I probably won't even be able to watch anything live online, but it was really cool to finally see some of those locations I've seen in pictures every year.

In all seriousnes. With R&C PS4 revealed today, what the hell does Sony still have for their conference? They seem confident though.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Well, since this is the thread about speculation and all, let's report this here. Recently, Nintendo of Canada's GM Trepanier got an interview about Nintendo in Canada, sales related and a bit outside of sales.

http://alphabeatic.com/nintendo-canada/

But he said something specific about E3

Canada has a wealth of game developers – why doesn’t Nintendo tap into them more?

I would love for us to do more in Canada for sure. There are some second-party projects that were developed in Canada, like Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon that launched last year for example. It was developed here in Vancouver. We still have those great, big third-party partners like Ubisoft who continue to invest in our platforms. In the next few weeks at E3 you’ll be hearing about more big third-party partnerships.

And he reiterated that at the end of the interview

So having third-party developers is a nice-to-have but not a have-to-have?

We would love to have [them] and you’ll hear in a few weeks about some interesting partnerships. We’ve already over the past year opened up and aggressively sought licensing deals in lots of different areas. In the video game space you’ve seen Nintendo characters appear in other game worlds. It’s also happening outside the game world, with the Universal Studios partnership that will bring Nintendo to fans and families through theme parks.

Is he speaking from his ass, or is he actually in the know? It wouldn't be the first time one of Nintendo's regional divisions leak some E3 details: last year, an interview with NoF's GM reveiled SSB 3DS's release date and that SSB Wii U would've been the first title to use the NFC figures.

Posting here since there's a thread about the whole interview already, and I don't know if it deserves its own thread. Tell me if it should.

video games.

Every time this is asked about any conference. They will be showing video games. Some new unannounced games, some rumored games, some announced games.

Doesn't sound like he is just telling BS to me. I don't think a thread is a bad idea here. We don't know if he is talking about games though. It could be also something in the veins of the theme park partnership with Universal Studios.

I don't recall Shinobi ever comparing Bends new game to TLOU, just that he said it was "open world horror"

Unless there was some follow up post I missed

There are ~20 unannounced games on the Gamespot coverage schedule and they probably are not going to get to cover all of the unannounced games. Sony only has 90min and a good portion of that is getting dedicated to VR. The stuff that got announced already they did not have time to cover at E3. I am sure they will talk about R&C but maybe not the 8 minute trailer.

Can't hunt down the original post, but iirc he was referring to it as survival horror, but more like The Last of Us than Resident Evil or The Evil Within.

There's also the one within the last page.

God of War isn't going to be there.

I wonder if WWS' big studios (ND, GG, QD...etc) have anything in production for Morpheus and if there is, are they going to show it this time?

Considering VR games are currently rather small projects, I don't see why Sony wouldn't let them create some experiences to fully support the device from the start.

We don't know this. I mean, I'm sure 10 or 15 minutes will be, maybe a bit more... but... all we know is it takes up a lot of booth space, which makes sense anyway since it requires more space to set up VR exhibitions than normal ones.
