Shu was teasing so hard talking to Greg and Colin.
They asked him about new Gravity Rush news and he said he's been playing it for some time.
They asked him about what Quantic Dream is doing and will they be at Paris and he said he had a chance to play their game.
He said he was excited for what Sucker Punch is doing and he's played their new project but he's not allowed to talk about it lol!
His face the whole time:

Also said that Dream from MM would be seen more @ Paris.

Can you link this video? Want to check it out.

I hope he talks about SSM as well. I want my God of War 4 fix.

So, TGS is their next big show. Cool.

It's still a little surreal knowing that hype will have to start from scratch. Feels like 99 % was accomplished in the last few hours. Sure, I'm waiting for SSM, QD and more, but the hype train really soared this June.

I'm very interested to see what Sucker Punch is up to. If it's in a playable state it must be farther along than people think. As much as I love Infamous, I hope they're working on something completely new for this generation.

And yeah, wonder what happened to Level 5's RPG. Or that big budget Sony RPG (unless it's a collab with Level 5 and they're the same thing). Maybe they just had enough ammo for one conference. TGS should be exciting.

You earned it, man.

I don't know how any self-respecting fan of video games could be salty about this legendary conference unless they have some kind of emotional attachment to Sony's competition and refuse to buy a PS4.
Well...you know...I think that's exactly the reason.
Also on the "PS4 has no games" front, y'all been listening to too much Giant Bomb because that's all they ever mention.

It's ridiculous the lineup this E3 had and then realizing what was shown pre-E3 with Ratchet and Clank and such and then realizing what was missing from this show like Rime and WiLD and Persona and shit like that. The lineup being built for this system is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm not salty at all, but I didn't think this conference was as good as many of you apparently did, especially for Sony itself. Then again I don't really get hyped about things that are well beyond the Horizon, like the vast majority of the great stuff at this conference.

For me it was mostly a reminder that PC gaming is going to be fucking awesome still. That's where I'll be playing Shenmue 3, FF7R, Firewatch, etc. If anything this conference confirmed to me to take another look at a PS4 maybe in 2017/2018.

Man, I could never ever have imagined what this conference would be like. I literally had an urticaria crisis as TLG trailer started playing that almost made me go nuts (if you look at my post history I made a thread about it a while ago). I got naked and scratched every inch of my body but I just couldn't stop watching.

What a great day that was. There's only one thing that makes me scratch my head: where the hell is Gran Turismo? This is the first Playstation to get to its second year with no GT in sight. Weird.

Not that paying less heed to titles further out isn't warranted or valid, but how much of your lack of hype for the games showcased were you to release dates next year and beyond and not the format/conference shown at?

Do you think you are being objective?

I couldn't quite understand "but how much of your lack of hype for the games showcased were you to release dates next year and beyond" but I'll answer as best I can.

Of course I'm being objective. I liked a lot of the stuff they showed but my hype is severely tempered by release dates. I can't sustain hype for things for years on end. CG trailers don't excite me. Gameplay excites me more than anything. It's a reason why Horizon struck me more than Shenmue, despite the fact that if I had to choose between one or the other existing, I would take Shenmue 3 every time.

I don't own an Xbone either but I saw more stuff that seemed like it would impact me this year, so I was more excited about it.

I'm just realizing that conference came and went without even mentioning Quantic Dream, Sony Santamonica, or Sucker Punch...

Holy sh* so many more announcements to come

They are really blowing this gen out of the water. Not even a contest

I left out "due to" in the question, but you seemed to get the gist. I just find it hard to believe you have not gotten hyped about games 1-2 years out before, and that you might be trying to maintain the outlook to the platform you went into E3 with.

There's also naughty dog's Last Of Us 2.

Saving bullets.

PS2 era all over again.

Sure, when I was a kid I got hyped about games way out. I was hyped for FF7 and Ocarina of Time for years. Every delay of OOT was like a knife to the heart! :lol

Now that I'm older, I realize that I really just want to see gameplay, and I want to know that I'm going to play it soon. Zelda is my favorite franchise, but I'm not yet hyped for the next one, because I don't know how it plays, and I don't know when it's coming out. As a huge Shenmue fan I LOVE that they are making a new one. But I'm not hyped for it, not yet.

The games that got me hyped the most at E3 were Super Mario Maker (a game I didn't care about until the NWC showing) and Fallout 4. They're both coming out this year and I've seen how they play in detail.

Maybe next year, or the year after, when they show Shenmue 3 or FF7:R actually running, or we get a real, specific release date for The Last Guardian, I'll be hyped for those. But right now, they're might as well be words on the wind.

So as far as the best things at Sony's conference (for me), they were Firewatch (which looks spectacular... but I'm getting it on PC) and Horizon, which had gameplay that looked fun and a setting that was made me want to explore it. Dreams looks fascinating but I don't know enough about how it plays yet. I WANT it to be good though, because it looks really fucking cool.

I already said this but the conference and reveals remind me so much of the golden PS2 era.

Game of Show:
Horizon
UC4

Exclusives:
SFV
Dream
TLG
Nier 2
Shenmue 3

T Exclusives:
FF7 : R
No Mans Sky

The breadth and diversity going on there is astounding.

Yup. SO5 too, after so long without a new Star Ocean, in the exclusives for yet more big JP goodness.

After this there was absolutely no way that Crash wasn't gonna happen. They know that Crash is on a similar level. There is no other franchise that is left that holds that kind of weight, at least not something that could appear on a Sony console.

Yup, fuck it, no reason for anyone to entirely write it off, that tease back in the PS4 reveal event montage will have been real, and it'll be another glorious moment.

My prediction Is the Paris event in oct.

Shu just said on Kindafunny stream that he has played a new project from Japan studios and Project gravity(Gravity Rush 2) he was trolling them so bad.

Oh? It came up? Cool. Thanks I'll need to watch this.

Not that I wouldn't have anyway since their interviews with Yoshida are usually a good watch.
