Canada E3 Deals 2015 IOTI Actually, even better than last year!

So no updates to either store in terms of new games being added, I presume?

Any remaining updates are unlikely to go up until closer to closing time. At this point, just lock in whatever you want and if stuff comes up later just request for it to be added to your order via CSR, unless enough stuff to qualify for the deal comes up.

Well I am pretty sure Persona 5 and SMT x FE aren't going up today on Amazon, which is fine I will pay the Atlus tax for those no problem. But locked in my haul didn't do too bad.

MGS V
Street Fighter V
Ratchet & Clank
Rainbow Six
Rare Replay
Doom
For Honor
Ghost Recon
Uncharted 4
No Man's Sky (Pretty sure it is digital only since Amazon torched it off the site but its in my orders still so I will include it)
Hitman
Transformers Devastation
Sea of Thieves
South Park: The Fractured but Whole
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Mass Effect Andromeda
FF7 Remake
Halo 5 (May cancel not sure yet)
Scalebound
Crackdown
Star Wars Battlefront.

1108$ after discount with tax. Good times!

Orders from last year with Best Buy

The Division
Kingdom Hearts 3
Final Fantasy XV
Mad Max
Mirror's Edge
Quantum Break
Star Wars Battlefront
Zelda U

I think I may be set until 2017

Well, after waiting and waiting, I decided to just go with Best Buy since they had Trails listed, and Amazon doesn't.

Ended up grabbing:

Trails of Cold Steel
Superbeat: Xonic
Fire Emblem: Fates
Worlds of Final Fantasy

Came to $179
Saved: $40.

Pretty happy considering most of these should have a staggered release.

Alright, I am finally done ordering, because I don't think Persona 5 or Harvest Moon will be added. I ended up having to order two games from Best Buy.

Amazon:
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 (PS4)
Tearaway Unfolded (PS4)
Super Mario Maker (Wii U)
The Legend of Zelda: TriForce Heroes (3DS)
Mario Tennis Ultra Smash (Wii U)
Yo-Kai Watch (3DS)
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon (3DS)
Street Fighter V (PS4)
Fire Emblem Fates (3DS)
Scalebound (XBONE)
ReCore (XBONE)
Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam (3DS)
Horizon: Zero Dawn (PS4)
Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
Digimon World Cyber Sleuth (PS4)
Nier (PS4)
Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4)

Best Buy/Future Shop 2013-2014:
Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U)
Star Wars Battlefront (PS4)
Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)
Star Fox Zero (Wii U)
The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)
Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (Wii U)

Kingdom Hearts III (PS4)
Final Fantasy XV (PS4)

Best Buy 2015:
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe And The Blight Below (PS4)
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (PS4)

The games in bold are the ones I am getting for sure. The other games range anywhere from likely to probably not. I don't even have an Xbox One yet, so the two games depend on if I get one this holiday. The italicized games are ones I am most likely to cancel or return. The total cost is $1,389.08 after taxes, or $51.45 per game.

I would bang a hot farmer!

Put in your orders at Amazon while you still can. Don't take the chance that a bunch of people try to do so near the end of the deal and Amazon.ca takes a shit.

What I got this year from Amazon:

Wii U:
Rodea the Sky Soldier
Star Fox Zero
Xenoblade Chronicles X

3DS:
Fire Emblem Fates
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX

Vita:
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
Persona 4: Dancing All Night
World of Final Fantasy

Overall I'm pretty happy. It's too bad that Fatal Frame and Bravely Second never went up, but I'll keep an eye out for the rest of the day.

Best Buy says they're ending their deal on the 18th but what time? 12 AM PST/EST?

they have the better game selection but with the dumb decision to use one-time codes, I can't screw up the last order. waiting at the last hour to make an order there

Is this even real life? 4609$ before discount, 3700$ discounted. 70 games.

EvilMario

Will QA for food.
I wouldn't even have time to play half of those games. Ordering 14 games, I already question if I'll have enough time for them all. And the final price was still a bit much for me. Godspeed, I hope you can afford it with both your time and money.

Is it really that hard to limit yourself to 10 or so games? By the time you're done playing 1/3 of those games, most of them will cost $20-$30.

To all the people saying to limit yourself, pay attention to the # of games releasing close to each other. The release dates on these games are anywhere from now until 2018. I think 70 games is a lot, but if he wants to order that many, good for him.

My back up Best Buy order is just stuff that isn't on Amazon, plus Gears of War Ultimate and Rare Replay

Amazon pls. Give Dragon Quest Heroes and Senran Kagura Estival Versus pls

The release dates are all over the place so I mean if you have the time and the money for those then all the power to you buddy! Not like a lot are releasing super close to each other and that list extends for at least till 2017 maybe 2018 if stuff delays.

it's not that bad. all those AAA, ignoring multiplayer, should take like 10 hours. 15 hours tops

the RPGs, let's put those at 20-30 hours. oddball 50 hours here and there

and a lot of those are 2016. knack's good

Hell, I'm sure more than a few will end up 2017 titles.

Has anyone ever had any problems cancelling an order with Amazon or Best Buy? I think I'll just order everything I'm curious about and cancel anything that starts looking bad.

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem isn't available on Amazon by the looks of it, so I guess I'm stuck with Best Buy.

How good is Amazon's priority shipping in Canada?

I live in the prairies and usually get items delivered in 5 days when I use free shipping.

So long as you exercise restraint and cancel the vast majority that you don't actually want a week before release I don't see any problems here.
At the end of the day that $3,700 total will probably regress down to something like $500-600 spread across 3-4 years.

PSV - Corpse Party (still need to play the first 2)
Get on this ASAP. Wear headphones and play at night in a dark room.

If the reviews are good, it'll go into shipping status late next week so you'll have to suffer through everyone raving about it on release day.
If the reviews are poor, it'll go into shipping status the moment the embargo lifts and drops a sub-70 Metacritic score in your face.

I will hit the button at 9pm. Holding out hope that Persona 5 shows up.
Good luck with that.

Hell, I'm sure more than a few will end up 2017 titles.

I'm sure he'll cancel some of them(legend of kay hd??)

Some others will be digital only(nothing to do sky)

A few of them will never come out(homefront...)

And some of them will come out in 2017-2018(ffxv, ff7 remaster and kh3)

We're all joking around, but seriously Amazon's slow pre-order shipping actually saved me from playing Hometown Story. So sometimes it actually works FOR you!

As an aside, I just finished moving into my new place. Anything I should add/update on the spreadsheet? Didn't notice any new entries but I can update prices/availability.

Grabbed Superbeat Xonic and Dengeki Fighting Climax (PS3 for multiplayer) on Bestbuy as my last purchases. 11 games preordered, half of them don't even have release dates. Looking forward to JStars and Neptunia Rebirth 3 in two weeks.

LOL wtf

talked with Amazon CS about moving my Fire Emblem preorder of $44.99 to one of my bigger orders for 30% off

stuff happened. I'm getting the game for $30 now. $21 after the discount

awwwww yeeeeaaaahhhh

Get your shine on, knacklover.
Promptly start cutting down games you don't really want anymore before they release.

Yeah, of course I'm going to cancel around 50% of these games. However my new moto since I forgot to preorder some games last year is: "Preorder now, cancel later".

I wish Knack 2 was in that list though, Sony please :(.

now tell us which of those you really want

If I did not pre-order everything, my order would have been of around 20 games for sure:
Knack 2, Chibi Robo!, Dark Souls 3, Dishonored 2, Doom, Fallout 4, Ff15, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Super Mario Maker, Mass effect (which will release in 2019 at 120$ CAD!), Mirror's Edge, Plants Vs Zombies, Ratchet, Tomb Raider, Battlefront, Zelda, The Division, Uncharted 4, Xenoblade, Yoshi Wooly Land

Does anyone from Edmonton have any experience with Amazon Prime? Do you get your orders 1-2 days after release? Any times that its delivered on release?

I seem to get everything on or slightly before release, although games are more likely to come on release day (and if it's UPS, my guy on the west end comes consistently 5-6pm).

Movies usually come the week before with Prime. Last half a dozen releases all arrived on the Thursday prior to release. Go figure.

Well, I have no faith in Amazon to snap to it so I put my safety preorders down on Best Buy and am about to finalize the Amazon preorders. 23 items come to $1387 before tax and then $1097 after discount and tax. That's gonna get trimmed down by about $400-$500 or so.

No Persona 5 at all? Oh well I'd still buy at full price.... :(
