If I remember well there was one staff asking if people wanted a steam release on dustloop forums.
But after leaving the console version without netplay I dont know if we can trust them...but maybe I hold too much grudge with some fg devs : p

I honestly feel like I held too much against a lot of folks in this industry. Its not easy. Also against some personalities...I was a dick about Maximillian a few times and looking back it was really not fair to light him up. Dude shares what he loves and even if he made mistakes in things he said on a few games he brings folks the perspective of how fun fighters can be from a competitive fan's stand point. It gets folks interested in going deeper into these games. Been thinking about that for awhile now and it was just bugging me.
Here's hoping Max starts covering more ASW and whatever it is on PC gets some love from him. I think the guy would have a lot of fun with Anime fighters if he gave several a chance.

What I want is console and PC day and date release for new versions of their games is all. That might be unreasonable for Arcsys though idk.
dude. We were shocked when patch 1.10 for Xrd came out like a day after the jpn version. ASW lacks at a lot of things.
That's what I hope for as well. Dunno if it's realizable though.
At the very least I hope we catch up soon. I'm just relieved they're not pulling an Atlus and pretending that Steam doesn't exist

At this point any game that comes out on Steam by them has to have it or they will get slammed. Don't you worry about that.
I am not sure why Atlus hasn't done anything on Steam yet in terms of Japanese games. They could have I dunno threw Catherine up or something. Then again people would want the RPGs so ehh might not be the greatest idea.

One of the best download-only games of last gen
that almost nobody played.
I'd re-buy it in a heartbeat if that's what it is.
I remember Woolie from the Super Best Friends podcast talked about playing the arcade location test when he was in Japan, and that was a UNIEL/Xrd machine that if you switched game restarted to a windows desktop first.
To be fair there's still a decent amount of work you'd have to do to get a proper PC port with settings and Steam functionality etc.

Though more than likely it'll probably be Chrono Phantasma Extend, maybe.
The next version of Xrd is a ways away, least till we see it over here.

Cobsidering ishiwatari's ax panel is directly related to xrd then my gut bet is xrd for steam. Although bbcp extend wouldnt be a bad bet ether. Id be happy if hnk also was anounced for steam.

I'd be very happy with UNIEL, P4A, or XRD. So the hype is real, glad that Arc is fully embracing the Steam train.
Now that you got my hopes up I will blame you if I am disappointed.

P4A is the least likely of all the games to be honest.

Ranked is literally the worst way to git gud at fighting games. It's the equivalent of throwing someone into the gladiator's pit right from the start. Pick a character, go through the tutorial, figure out if you like their gameplay and practice with people online while perusing sites and forums for more specialized character info. If the game you are playing has a bad tutorial look for a 2D fighter with a good tutorial and learn the basics of 2D fighters until you are daydreaming about them.
Unfortunately years later you'll be good (even great) at fighting games, but you'll still run into monsters knock you flat on your ass. The difference will be that experience will tell you why and how it happens. Newbies have no clue why or how anything happens, so expect to be frustrated if you don't put in the work and make friends with experienced teacher types.
