I think eveytime SFV gets a big update that costs money to use their should be a retail re release. I hate buying DLC or games that evolve around dlc. So I think they should keep releasing super editions, I rather have everything on the damn disc. Or atleast every year release SFV 2016-2017/ season1/season2 w/e they want to call it.

Anyway I hope Oni returns, but if its either Akuma or Oni I rather Capcom put Akuma. I feel like all SF2 characters should be in every SF at least.

How is GGXrd's pay per character system panning out?

I was thinking something relative to this is a decent way to prevent community-splitters like SSF4 and AE because players can buy only the characters they want instead of being forced into a big bundle.

Of course assuming system updates (e.g. Ultra 2, Red Focus, etc) will be free in this model.

and it's always been a pain. UMVC3 always had problems whenever a shuma player got on of having to either find a console with the DLC or downloading the character.

Never had an issue at local tourneys. My experience has been that people that play in tourneys keep their consoles up to date.

It's been standard for years across pretty much every major fighter that has come out in the past 4 or 5 years.

I think what he meant is that Q has a similar play style to Balrog. Dudley plays completely different from Balrog in a boxing sense. Q in third strike is basically a different/cooler type of Balrog.

Ah, okay then. Gotcha. I never really thought of Q that way, but they are both charge-based. Thinking about it more I can see the other similarities.

I really like Dudley b/c he reminds me a lot of Rick from RBFF. And Vanessa, b/c of Dudley.

Lol aye don't take it personally; just saying if there could only be one boxer, I'd rather have the Duds. Then again I've played much more of the III games than the II ones, so there's that.

If the cast is big enough they should definitely have room for both tho, maybe more. Lot of potential in Balrog vs. Dudley rivalry if the story's a proper story this time.

i'm more talking about grander scale tournaments. If they begin adding in lots of DLC characters, stages and w/e it could cause some "moments" during tournaments cause there will be times where a system isn't fully updated or have all the DLC downloaded.

That's no different than it would be now. USF4 is updating with a new patch tomorrow. Just saying that TOs have been dealing with DLC and patches for years. Any issues that would come from this potential approach wouldn't be any different than what we've had for years.

No way, there are far more interesting variants on a lot of them in the existing character base, and that truncates the possibilities for new, even cooler characters.

KOF puts about 35% fan favorites into new installments and mixes things up with newbies or overlooked characters. I'd much prefer that for SFV.

These characters are not only the best versions of their respective "types" but also my three favorite Street Fighter characters, period. There isn't a comparable character to Dudley but Q is better than Balrog and Hugo is better than Zangief. My only wish if Q is in he gets his faceplant falling animation.

That's right, my main man Alex might be coming back in SFV! Let's hope so! Will be interesting to see how this matches up with the teased return of a resurrected(?) Charlie and SFIII's overall story and roster.

I have a pretty good feeling about Alex, Q, Urien, Karin and Juri being in.

I hope Laura is not just another Brazilian character. I'd like to see some other South American country be repped. There are a number of South American martial arts along with cultures that could make for an interesting character. Because when I hear the name Laura, think South America and look at Tekken 7 (which is also trying to appeal to the same three markets that SF5 is doing according to Ken Bogard), my mind auto-generates a sexy Brazilian capoeira fighter.
Instead, something like Bakom would be pretty awesome. They could have a bit of a Mesoamerican influence as well. But I'm prepared for the inevitable disappointment.

I'd love to see Maki again. She's like a cooler Guy.
