It is missing the animated cutscenes which are great though. It even has an epilogue tying together CT and CC.
I'm a huge fan of Chrono Cross, but I prefer my Trigger to be free of retcons. This was easily my least liked "addition" to the DS version.
How is the mobile port of Chrono Trigger?
I played it a few years back and it was annoying trying to hit the menu commands, but maybe they fixed it up some since then? Didn't really put much time into it.

The DS version retcons Magus to be Guile.Additions are, by definition, not retcons...
DS > SNES >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PS1.

remembering those cutscenes they were kind of dumb. Watching frog cut a mountain in a cutscene and then do it again in the game was a liitle weirdJust watch the PS1 cutscenes later after you finish the SNES version of the game.
Just get a dirt-cheap used ds and play the best version.
Yeah you can get a DS plus the DS version for cheaper than a SNES version.
The PS1 version lasts longer and gives you more time to savor the experience.

SNES. All of these SNES ports on the PS1 are terrible one way or another.
And no, the DS loses, cuz CT deserves to have the comfy couch experience.
SNES
DS is the best though.
You can play your DS on a couch.
I didn't know DS games had to be played while in an iron maiden. And no, the DS loses, cuz CT deserves to have the comfy couch experience.
The PS1 version is playable if that's the only way, but it's definitely the worst version of the game.
