great news for me since i liked watch dogs
"Men, what have we learned from this new IP that sold a shit ton and received generally positive reception?"That's nice, hopefully they've learnt well enough and we'll never see a sequel.
only Watch_Dogs? that game atleast ran well.
So they havn't learnt anything from the turn Assassisn's Creed ..UNITY ??
While I don't think people should be crying foul, they (Massive), have already stated that they have reduced the fidelity of assets (globally) in order to accommodate development on multiple platforms.

"Let's not make a sequel to improve on the flaws, especially not a next gen only sequel that gives us a shit ton more headroom for the scale of the world"
"Brilliant!'
I really enjoyed the gameplay and world. Super solid gunplay and some fun hacking levels.
The main problem is the main character. They either need to make him better or just push him off to the side as supporting and focus on a new hero. Also give us better supporting characters.
But overall, I liked the game and hope they improve upon on what they have. It suffered a bit from repetition ala AC1 but it didn't have any super lame collectibles like flags.
I'm saying that taking games Ubisoft showed off prior to E3 2015 and using them as counter-points to this recent statement is only possible if the footage revealed circa E3 2015 is visibly inferior what's on display in the final products or later footage releases. The point being, posts like "The Division is going to continue the cycle" aren't exactly logical since we don't yet have post-E3 2015 footage to compare.
They already apologized for AC Unity, multiple times in fact.Usually when an executive says they learned the lessons from their past mistakes it means they want to sell you something and hope you forgot.
I expect there should be an apology for AC Unity in august sometime just before the next pr wave.
For me, the graphics wasn't the problem with Watch_Dogs.
The bigger issue was that the game was boring.
For sure, but bad games will always be made now and again, even from proven developers. People will accept bad games, but not be misled over and over again at these hype events. It's a different class of frustration. For me, the graphics wasn't the problem with Watch_Dogs.

When Ubisoft is talking about mistakes of a previous game it means there's another coming. Ad infinitum.

I think people are making the statement based on the previously released footage of the Division and the fact that it looks better than the 2015 footage.
That video is like "Wake up sheeple" incarnate. Ugh. This was a great e3, (aside from nintendo).E3 has just become so much bullshit in the past several years.
Super Bunnyhop made a great video about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGLe_fR4AJE
Watch Dogs 2 will now have firewalls, you will need to complete a mini-game to beat the firewall.
He doesnt really believe the graphics were its biggest problem, does he?
What a shitty video. Guy must be a joy to be around.E3 has just become so much bullshit in the past several years.

Unrefined certainly isn't how I would describe the gameplay, shooting, stealth and movement were the most polished parts of the core gameplay. Racing could be improved, because the areas that were less technically advanced, (Pawnee) were not good for chases since there weren't nearly as many chase breakers.Cool, but the game looked fine.
The issues were rather the unrefined gameplay and Aiden.
They said the same with Unity, and after plating Syndicate demo, I'll not fall for that again.
I'm totally off for Ubisoft games.
That's a lot of viewpoints/satelite dishes/towers/hackables you're not going to be able to secure.
I enjoyed watch dogs and finished it. The combat and gunplay was much better than gtav I thought
