Witcher 3 Patch 1.07 Changelog

Historical release of patches on PC (all times Poland time)

1.03 - May 21 (Thursday) @ 02:25 PM
1.04 - May 25 (Monday) @ 04:21 PM
1.05 - June 5 (Friday) @ 05:58 PM
1.06 - June 15 (Monday) @ 02:21 PM
1.07 - ?

So they have historically not released a patch over the weekend (nobody wants to work on a weekend) and most patches hit in the late afternoon / early evening Poland time. It is 04:27 Poland time right now, so I am cautiously optimistic....

?... Which quest? Recently completed King's Gambit again, and I don't think I experienced this bug.
I might be wrong, but i think the quest that fails is SPOILER FOR QUEST START

The Cave of dreams - the one with Madman Lugos' son, i think it's because Lugos' son dies in King's Gambit. Funny thing is, i completed that quest before starting King's Gambit and the quest was still marked as "Failed". ^^

SPOILER FOR QUEST END

As it's batman on pc.
And that's not the point. The point is, those are very important improvements. Crucial, for someone. So, many (myself included) put the game on pause until the patch is released.

I personally am waiting on more patches. 1.07 seems as though it will bring big improvements, but I may even wait longer so that the game can be fine-tuned.

Not before we get a bro-Zoltan ending where he and Geralt starts a professional Gwent career together.

Zoltan takes all the cards Geralt wins and sells them. Ends with their bromance breaking with Geralt slaughtering Zoltan in rage one day. Geralt breaks down after realizing what he's done and commits suicide.

This is the real dark ending.

Just checked, you're right. Didn't notice it at all 'til now. >_<

Patch 1.07 will be arriving on all platforms in the next 24h. Once it's live everywhere, we will officially announce it. #TheWitcher

Finally, the bitching will end.

For a day or two.

You know the actual last day of the week is Saturday, right?

Only for some countries, I think most of Europe has Sunday as the last day of the week. Actually, not entirely sure on that, Google says Saturday is the last day of the week for Christians and Jewish, according to the Bible.

naw the bitching won't end. it'll probably be a large patch. the bitching will start up right again when they release it and people start complaining that they have to "waste their weekend" and sit through a download. lol

It wouldn't surprise me if CDPR is far more tight-lipped regarding upcoming patches from now on. Getting the info out there early did them absolutely no good with this last one.

I don't let novels dictate when the week ends.

The international standard ISO 8601 counts Sunday as the seventh and last day of the week. However, Sunday is considered the first day of the week in many countries, including the United States, Canada and Japan.
In many cultures and languages, Monday is given a name that means “second day” which makes Sunday to be the first day.

Yea, so the international standard is Sunday for last day of the week.

If some of you really have such a hard time dealing with difference of opinion and complaints - most of which have been completely reasonable - to the point you are trying to belittle them, perhaps discussion forums aren't really right for you? Or at least threads where you have this much sensitivity toward negativity?

Yup. In 24 hours it should be live across all platforms. Please keep in mind that there's still some time until the patch becomes available everywhere/for everyone. It's a great opportunity to go for a walk or to go hang out with your friends, etc.

Anyone STILL debating that it's not because of console certification?
Sounds pretty clear to me.

Could they have started working on the the consoles first, then do the PC patch while waiting for the console certification process? Usually, all platforms are done at once, right?
....Which is just another way of saying they held off on the PC patch because of consoles.

No, as in, they didn't have the manpower to work on all three platforms at once, so they said let's do PS4/One first, and push it through the certification, and while we wait for it to clear we can work on the PC version.

Because they laid off people? This makes no sense and we are now doing gymnastics to make excuses for what is plainly obvious.

In one month they went from having enough manpower to simiutenously work on all patches and release them as they become available then all of the sudden they only had enough for some but not all and decided to wait on even addressing PC until the certification for consoles began.

.... Also forgetting that Microsofts certification process is longer then Sonys.

I'm not defending them, just because I have a differing opinion on the matter than you does not mean I am on the other side of the fence. And this was a huge patch, you can't really compare it to the other patches.

I'm going to play devil's advocate.

As much as it kind of sucks to wait for the patch so they release simultaneously on all platforms, it does make some sense from an efficiency standpoint from the devs. Now they are on a unified version instead of fragmented across platforms.

Do you really think they finished testing the PC version of the patch on the exact same day when the console certification process ended? Plus they said some time ago the patch would release at the same time on all platforms.

I guess it would be more efficient (that is, assuming they do not have a separate PC team anyway), but that is still just a presumption as to why a PC patch would come post-cert on console.

This is very likely but I still think they would've released the PC patch at least a few days ago if they weren't waiting for the console certification. I don't believe they finished the PC version on the same day MS and Sony finished the certification.

It's an opinion made of nonsense to try and push back against people saying this is overwhelming proof of patch parity. Which it is.
