Awesome. Rodeo did a great job with WQ so this is an instabuy for me. Hopefully it does well and we see some mini-expansion support down the road.

Crashes for me on startup on an iPhone 6. iOS 9 beta is causing it, I bet. Seems to cause an odd thing where I'm stuck in landscape mode after it crashes.

From someone at Rodeo:

I've been chatting and iOS 9 BETA version will not be supported. For reasons previously mentioned, its impossible to plan for the changes that a beta SDK may have between versions, however we will support iOS 9 (release) when its out.

Bloody beta desire. Oh well, I've asked for my refund.

Space Hulk and Space Hulk: Ascension

And Space Hulk, right?

I'm really not a huge fan of Space Hulk. I actually prefer the universe outside of Space Marines in general. I think it's a detriment to the 40k universe that GW is always licensing, and devs are making games about space marines because of how deep and interesting the lore is, since then all new players always think that's all there is to 40k.

I own Space Hulk, I just don't like the lack in variety of enemies since you're only fighting Gene Stealers in the same kind of areas over and over. I may have a similar problem with this game, but Tyranids tend to be a little more diverse and we get to kit out our soldiers.

I think the devs said there are 10 Tyranid types in the game.

I only got into the 40k lore recently and it's just fascinating. Glad to see we're getting some Inquisitor games. One for consoles and PC, and one for mobile with Mark Strong voicing the protagonist

Just pickedpicked this bad boy up. Despite my ideological incompatibilities with apple, I have essentially commandeered my wifes ipad mini due to the plethora of awesome games available. Picked up this, magic duels, ftl and thinking about warhammer armageddon and battle academy

The wealth of awesome ports have been great lately. This year alone, we've gotten This War of Mine, Door Kickers, Transistor, and Geometry Wars 3

Picked up this game really enjoying it so far.

Had a quick question, I have just earned a new space marine to add to my full squad. I tried to boot out one of my current team to bring in the new marine but it wouldn't let me, am I missing something here?

Also I have heard people talking about multiplayer that is unreleased will that be a vs mode or coop?

You can't delete someone in your active squad directly from the armory.
Do this:
Select a mission, when in the squad screen...THEN...you can boot out a marine and select another one, or change weapons.
After that the said non wanted marine will be out of the squad and you can sell him (press the X near the name) for 6 contribution points.

Great thanks Pitta just tried that now. Love games like this on the IPad, I would never give this the time it deserves on a PC. How far is everyone so far? I just completed the second mission in the first act after the tutorial.

I have played through the prologue and half way through the first chapter. It's good. A really polished turn based game in the 40K universe. My only real problem is that they don't really surface the level ups of your squad members. You have to look at each one individually to see if they progressed.

I've completed the campaign at normal and I'm now playing veteran.

Veteran is incredible...aliens have much more skills now.
You also unlock much better gear and gain more retribution points.
Also, you die :)
Feels like a more complete game...it's really fantastic.

This is the iPad game I have been waiting for. I can't say no to XCOM in WH40K universe. I am really liking the game so far. Microtransactions do not seem too excessive either.

These Marines honoured their Chapters. .

I see what you did there.

I'm going to have to nab this I think. Looks like Rodeo done good again following on from Hunters, Hunters 2 and Warhammer Quest.

Hows the space? More Hunters where you have open space, or more Warhammer Quest where you have lots of 2x2 corridors?

I grabbed one of the other Space Marine games, and only played it twice because I hated the shuffle around slowly one by one in small corridors getting savaged by Gene-Stealers.
(that and because I kept getting slaughtered...)

It's more open, more like hunters than WHQ.
But believe me....corridors in Deathwatch are really really tense, and nothing like in Space Hulk.

Oh god, this kills my 5s battery but I really love it. I couldn't really get into WHQ for some reason but I love the more ranged-focused stuff like Hunters 2, still one of my favorite iOS games ever.

Played through the Prologue and it's gorgeous and exactly what I wanted so far. Is there anything like the light/mid/heavy armor balance in Hunters, or does everyone get 4 action points?

Pitta, remember you going insane over Rodeo's other games too so not surprised you're here. :)

That looks freaking incredible, Especially on iOS!
Makes me wonder what Chair are working on for the Spiritual sequel to Infinity Blade..

Jason Kidd murdered my dog in cold blood!
Fun game so far, pretty impressed. Doesn't seem like I have to buy anything to progress, but we will see. Wish it was a bit faster though!

I really enjoyed Warhammer Quest so i bought this as well. Its great fun, but the lack of cloud saves was a bit dissapointing. I now have one game on my iPhone and one on my iPad.

Playing the game now on iPhone 6 (away from home).
The number of graphical details are amazing...down to blinking weapon lights you see only with certain angles.
I love playing top down and slightly angled then I zoom in and make angle iso where I think the action will be....often is a really cinematic experience.
I love it.

Guys, if you got Deathwatch and complete it, be absolutely sure to play at veteran at least 2 Acts (then you won't stop :) ).
It's like an almost different, more complete and awesome game.
Same difference between WHQ played at normal and hard.
Not because it's harder (it is, but you level up much faster and find WAY better loot, so it's balanced), but because aliens have now all sorts of abilities that are really game changer (nothing to do with the 2 abilities you find at normal).

Absolutely amazing TBS and great WH40K (and Alien, I might add, especially some missions) vibe.

This makes my 5s battery drain like crazy, so I can really only play at home near an outlet, but it's quite amazing. I wish it were a bit quicker with movement, but then again I'm only playing on normal so things are pretty easy overall.

@Clunker: I've had the opposite experience with my iPad Air. The game is well optimized and requires way less power than I expected. Especially when I compare it to Magic Duels: Origins, that I'm also playing now.
