Hey, does anybody think we'll see guest characters down the line, as DLC?

Capcom Characters; characters from IPs that aren't Street Fighter, like Dante?

Sony Characters; since they helped finance the game, will Nathan Drake show up?

Cinematic Characters; like Mortal Kombat has Predator and Freddie Kruger and stuff. I feel like this isn't likely since WB owns a ton of properties, and Sony doesn't really have any original IPs in the cinematic world, do they?

Other Companies' Videogame Characters; SNK licensed Terry Bogard to some Chinese fighting game right? It would be nice to see characters like that cross worlds again. Nintendo has a bunch with third parties like Ryu himself, or Solid Snake, or Sonic. Maybe with that character poll, and staggered release time, they could secure Arika's SFEX characters like Skullomania?

Comic Characters; yeah MVC4 would be nice.

Only if they were Capcom or other companies fighting related characters.

The latter would be cool in general, the former because if Capcom vs Capcom is never gonna happen, I'll take the next best thing

Sony, cinematic and comic characters though? No. Comic characters would probably be a licensing pain anyway. Sony characters, I don't think there's anyone relevant they could put, most of their choices would just stand out in the wrong way (and I'm saying this as someone that likes Sony's IPs). Absolutely no for cinematic unless we're talking Sawada from the SF2 movie, in which case that's hell yes

The only way for Mika to IMO return is in casual wear and not named Rainbow. Take off her mask, take out those pig tails give her jeans and a Tshirt with a slightly altered moveset where she's more of a grappler and less a lucha.

If this is years after Alpha 3, she's bound to have given up on becoming a star and went back to normal life(hopefully) outside of street fighting. We have enough flamboyancy in the cast.

(Although Junko Takeuchi is a must)

You can't drop the twintails. Also I'm not against updating her design but if you do what you're suggesting you're pretty much gutting her entire character. She's supposed to be over the top and humorous, that would be like if they brought back Dan but made him into an edgy character.

Unlikely, although the SFV system would be perfect for a Darkstalkers cameo.

I wonder if Namco might be willing to let some of the SFxT cast come back as guest characters in the build up to TxSF?

I feel like we'll get Juri and two more SFIV characters (one from Alpha and another from either 2 or 3).
It might depend on who they're bringing back. E.g. Sakura with Karin, Cody/Guy with Haggar/Maki, Sagat with Go (wishful thinking ).

SF5 doesn't need cameos. Cameos have only worked in Soul Calibur 2 with Link cuz he was awesome and in Smash Bros. Outside of that, they've been met with total ire and disdain by the masses as cheap marketing tie-ins (Soul Calibur 4/5, SFxT and PSASBR as examples).

In regards to DLC characters, maybe one every 3 months. KI does it once every month, but they always need a patch or two to fix things up afterwards.

They work with SFIV and other current tighting games currently. No reason why to think they wouldn't work on SFV.

I like this one because of how Ken and ryu are more neutrally faced then the rest of the cast. So it does seem like the other two on the top right would work that way as well.

There's more to that, notice how characters are arranged in the USF4 char select screne you got the SF2 cast on one side, the 4 SF2 bosses on an a 2x2 area, and a slew of other interesting alignments.

This guy, from what we can see, has a whole lot of black going on, with a hint of red in his hair.
