are you serious with thinking that mags vs. hulk isn't heavily in mags favor...?

It isn't. Only the very best Magnetos playing carefully can go toe to toe with a really good Hulk. His armor blows up all of Magneto's approaches. FChamp's Magneto tends to make KBR look like a chump, but that's FChamp.

Milpitas? That is the opposite side of the Bay Area for me. Don't they know all the jobbers and old men are also in the Northbay?

It seems they don't know a lot of things. haha.
Wish I could but that game too much for me right nao :(

Too much as in too expensive to make the trip there or too difficult to play?

like, he has a baby zero team but the zero vs hulk matchup has to be played insanely lame which i'm not sure he'd know w/ that level of zero experience
The way KBR was playing? Yeah, RayRay's Mags was getting fucked every single time. I don't know the tiers of Magneto versus Hulk, but from what I saw, it's more along the lines of watching them both play and going "RayRay can't fight that Hulk with Magneto",

And the baby team, sure, I wouldn't want him to use something he doesn't feel good about, but he should have one alt team by now.
also i think modok players unilaterally hate frutsy lol, the local guy here too was going nuts about how he wasnt doin the best shit and i was laughing so hard bc thats exactly what he was acting in 2012 too

Right?!! LOL. My buddy the MODOK player was close to going to into a seizure, he was so pissed. He felt Frutsy's level of play was so low (his opinion) that he skated by on people having no experience versus a MODOK.

****

Karsticles, people have responded to your two button dash post, but no one cares about my mapping post.

Tears are being shed internally.

Magneto destroys Hulk...

You guys can't be serious here.

Might as well say that Captain America beats Magneto too because he can blow up all of Magneto's option.

They respond to tell me to get over it, lol.

I agree that macro options like Focus Attack should be asssignable.

Like I said, I'm not familiar with that specific matchup, how people consider it...it was more watching how KBR was playing Hulk and watching RayRay playing Magneto. And RayRay was getting ripped apart and had to try to come from behind every time. His Magneto looked helpless.

Rayray wasnt throwing out disruptors nearly enough, and when he was it was only the light disruptors. Heavy disruptors blows up hulk + drones easily. Rayray is the second best mag he should have been able to take him out but he was kind of playing on autopilot.

RayRay is a very offensive oriented player in terms of playstyle.

He will more than often rushdown even when he doesn't need to.

However, Magneto isn't just an offensive oriented character.. Magneto can play runaway/keepaway while chipping from damn near full screen. You don't approach Hulk in his comfort zone just like you don't get in Zangief's face as Guile unless he's in block stun.

RayRay doesn't use the full range of the Magneto + Doom synergy like FChamp does. FChamp would've switched to Rocks assists and lamed out KBR like he usually does.

Here's FChamp vs KBR in a grand finals of a major. This is how you play the match up. Granted this was before KBR leveled up dramatically but as you can tell, this is very different from how RayRay was approaching the match up.

RayRay plays how I want to play Mag: super offensive. The problem is is that he is negating all of the defensive/ranged options that would limit Hulk. Maybe his offensive style doesn't work with Armor and Lariat. I feel KBR played that perfectly.

Edit: Dahbombed.

fchamp would 100% guaranteed use plaama beam

gotta snipe sentinel and put hulk in place for a mixup + the immediacy is vital in the hulk matchup bc you need to capitalize on his vulnerable periods asap

Too difficult. I like like 40 mins away from the Dave and Busters in NYC.

Yeah. Even though Tekken 7 is making a lot of changes to make it easier to learn, it's still going to take some time to learn the mechanics and get a grip on the game's systems if you have never played Tekken before (just like with any fighting game really). I live an hour and 30 mins away from the New York one and went anyway to support it even though the only option to play it on was arcade stick, which I don't know how to use. Maybe if I was still working in the city, I could just walk there after work. lol. Gonna start my new job downtown soon so I hope Tekken 7 is still there when I do.

RayRay is definitely a good enough Magneto to take out KBR's Hulk but he didn't play the matchup correctly. Sure it's possible for a really well played Magneto to beat a skilled Hulk like that but you have to play super carefully. Magneto can use his superior mobility to evade all of Hulk's mixups but your execution has to be absolutely on point, and a good Hulk will be going up into the air to smash/grab you. I've got enough experiences on both sides of this matchup that I feel pretty confident in saying it's in Hulk's favor on paper.

Not even FChamp thinks it's Hulk favor (neither does any other top player for that matter) and he hates Hulk.

Hulk does way better than other big bodies in the match up though for sure. But it's still advantage for Magneto when you consider the huge difference in mobility.

Someday I might do the 5 hour drive down to Dallas to play Tekken 7 before release.

I definitely plan on going to Dreamhack Austin TX, so maybe I can take a day before to go down and play T7 all day.

Magneto should beat Hulk, but Rayray wasn't really leveraging what makes that matchup good for Magneto. I wonder if US Marvel would've done better vs KBR if they respected him (and his team) more. Hulk is a threat in that lineup and KBR is willing to spend all the resources he needs to in order to get his incoming mixup on your team, but it felt like all the US players were trying to bully and attack Hulk instead of treating that shell with the level of caution it deserved.

I am sure RayRay knows the match up and knows that you need to lame out Hulk and pick your spots on the offensive.

Thing is that on the grand finals of the EVO stage you are obviously nervous and when you are nervous you revert to your reflexes and habits in tense situations which is something KBR takes advantage of (ie. players reverting to habits he can exploit).

I wrote up on it before but I really liked playing T7. My matches weren't blowouts and I made the japanese player work for his win (took a game off his shaheen, didn't know what to expect but that guy has some really fast moves and it seemed that move that look like a punch into high kick was a typical good starter for him.)

My losers match went last round last game. I beat the guys Kazuya and he switched to King. I haven't played TTT2 in a while some my throw techs weren't on point, so I couldn't seal the last round.

Casuals was really fun. I trird Claudio for 3 games and was learning as I go along. He has some pretty fast and safe moves, my opponent also didn't know much about Claudio and trying to ewgf some blocked moves but I was usually safe with proper distancing. I still don't kniw what moves benefit from his glowingarm but I know I could get it glowinf with moves like ff+2 and some mid double mid punch which I forgot what it was but might be f 1+2 then you press it again for a second. He also has fast pokes like f+3. I was trying to win but at the same time experimenting with moves, since it was winner stays on. I got kicked off losing last round last game trying to be cute with a rage art read and getting hellsweeped lol.

Game is defintely better to play than watch. I felt that everyone thar stuck around for casuals were into the series and were interested in learning more about it, while you can sort of see who was there fir the shirt lol.

I've a question for you guys. Which is more impressive to you in EVO, winning a Grand Finals from winners' bracket , or losers' bracket?
Loser's bracket simply because you have to win more games.

Gamerbee won more games in the GF (5 games to Momochi's 4) yet he still lost EVO. That is why it's harder and more impressive to win GF from Loser's bracket.

Really? he tweeted that after Ultra SFIV.
I took the tweet to mean that the possibility for organized play for Nintendo games just got a huge jumpstart. "This is what these games mean for players who dedicate themselves to their craft; this is why the FGC has such passion for their community and why it's more than just a hobby or 'lol esports'".

Winners. Losers obviously has a harder challenge to make it back, but the fact that the winner didn't lose a single set to win EVO impresses me more.

Necalli SFV: I wonder if he is a illuminati prototype or source of Gill's power since his V-trigger form resembles in appearance specifically Gill.

GeoNeo

I disagree.
The amount of salt over KBR or his team is funny as fuck.

Too bad the img rKappa took of all the u.s marvel player salt got removed wanted to share it.

Justin Wong, RayRay, GCYoshi, and Ricki acted like a real fuck heads got called out on it too.

RayRay has no right to say anything to be honest he played like dumb fuck got mopped and could not hold that L.

It seems they don't know a lot of things. haha.

I live in Boston, there isn't a Dave & Busters here, but there is one in Braintree and one in Woburn which are both outside of the city. I'd tried to go to the Woburn location a few weeks ago with a buddy to meet up with a friend who was having a birthday party there. Place was packed and a line out the door so I never stepped foot inside. I'd totally go back on like a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon when it'd probably be a lot less crowded if they had Tekken 7.

Because Jabailey wants to keep the CEO branding and couldn't think of another word than Otaku.

He's not wrong about CEO branding, BTW. Its such a strong brand, it'll help draw people into the area.

But why Otaku. I get that he is trying to be clever with the name, but there are so many other options that aren't as disparaging to the anime crowd.

Even if Neo is being legit the company he keeps has pulled too much shady shit so people are calling this gofundme out as a scam.

If you find yourself surrounded by assholes, you're probably one yourself. Or however that saying goes.

KBR's run was incredible because he was hitting those incoming setups with better consistency than Zeroes getting their game going. People weren't even risking pressing buttons on the way in, just landing in hopes they can guess.
