SOOOOO

- I chose to let Chloe die, I found a non-violent solution to Frank after about half an hour of rewinds and at least two glitches (it was hard since I tried to shoot him and didn't have his money), I stopped Warren, and Victoria believed me, not that I suspect it will matter
- I should have seen the reveal coming when the announcement of the 'Everyday Heroes' winner, which I'd expected to cap off the series, occurred midway through the episode and didn't involve Max at all
- The ending kind of came out of nowhere, pacing-wise; I think it makes sense with what they're going for but because the Vortex Club bit is basically just walking around talking to people (and in my case very slowly while the sound glitches) and then the episode ends, it took me by surprise (though maybe that was the point)
- still, YOU SON OF A BITCH JEFFERSON. I am hoping that you are still just a pawn and Sean Prescott is the Big Bad, but damn dude what the fuck that's not cool
- the decision with Chloe at the beginning of this episode, damn, they actually went there. And it could be foreshadowing, too.
- on which note, hoo boy did this earn its M rating
- Things for the next episode: the photo with Warren will be important, I just made the bipolar/polarized connection in the title... can't wait.

Oh, and for whoever asked: if you invite Daniel to the party you find him there flirting/hanging out with Brooke. They agree to go to a museum together. basically Max further ruining Warren

Er, yes, Daniel, lol.

Also, are you already going with Warren to 'Go Ape', or did you shoot him down, and let Brooke get involved?
I chose to go with Warren to the movies cause I felt bad that he got a black eye because of me. :( I also wrote the CuTe message on his slate because I felt bad about that poster. I have no intention of actually dating him. I am the problem.

No escaping fate I guess.

fuck that guy in particular

I just realized something after I replayed the last scenes.

After Max and Chloe leave the party, the to moons merge into one, or at least one disappears, which suggests realities merging, shifting, or jumping,

Jefferson might not be the real bad guy in reality prime... or something.

When Nathan sent the text to Chloe (not anonymously, strangely enough), I was sure he meant he was going after Kate.

Of course, she's at the hospital, so there was no way he was gonna get close to her.

Then again, the Press-assholes do own most of the city...

Speaking of Kate, I'm guessing that if you don't save her in Episode 2, you have to find the room number of Nathan by yourself and you don't get the scene at the Hospital?

So if Chloe and Max had Nathan's phone how did Jefferson text them with his phone?

I vote the moon disappears instead of merging. Also, I don't think Nathan and Jefferson are the only bad guys. Seems like there is atleast one other person responsible for what is happening.

Well Kate's dead for some people so I'm not sure how that would have worked.

So if Chloe and Max had Nathan's phone how did Jefferson text them with his phone?

I think Max and Chloe had Nathan's drug deal/anonymous harassment burner phone and not his actual everyday phone, because some of the messages he sent were from his (Nathan's) actual number then some were from the anonymous number, implying he had 2 phones.

Correct. (admittedly finding Nathan's room number is not exactly difficult)

Warren beating Nathan was so hype.

Somehow I feel he's more aware of what's going on than he let's it look like.

I mean, who the hell gets dizzy drunk after half a beer? That photo he took with Chloe and Max is gonna be important.

Also, I can't help but think that wasn't Jefferson in the teaser of Episode 5. We know he's in on this, why hide his face during the whole teaser?

That last text from "Nathan" showed his face on the phone. Earlier texts from him were anonymous. VERY easy to miss given the circumstances going on.

The 2nd moon disappearing to me meant that Chloe was supposed to be shot dead by Nathan, which allowed Max to have her powers activate. Now that everything's back to normal perhaps, I'm guessing in Episode 5 there will be NO Rewind Feature. You're going to have to do it all with no take backs, is my guess.

I didn't see it coming, but perhaps I should have looked at Frank's drug list closer, because it probably had Jefferson on it as much, if not moreso than Nathan.

I want Episode 5 right now so I can play it, but I am scared to death about what's going to happen.

Thanks that was bugging me for the longest.

but is Nathan related to Rachel's murder? I was and still is under the assumption he doesn't know especially judging from his reaction in ep3 when Max meet him at the diner with Rachel's clothes, he was genuinely happy when he thought she's Rachel, but obviously he's not innocent after this ep especially that Jefferson had been operating from the barn where he took Kate.

Actually I guess there's the possibility that Nate did work with Jefferson for Kate but Rachel could be a different case where he operated alone.

I also wonder who Jefferson was talking to on the phone in ep2.

I feel like the moon disappearing means that the reality we are currently in is ending since Chloe and most likely Max are/will be dead.

wasn't he posing on one of the pictures in the dark room next to Rachel's body? (I think it was Rachel)

I still believe that Nathan is starting to realize that the whole thing is fucked up and that's why he's so unhinged

I can't believe such subtle details like that I miss.

oh damn I somehow missed that, yeah now I remember them mentioning something about that, I'll go back and look later

The phone they stole was his anonymous burner phone he used to buy drugs. <s>I think the emails from his father mentioned about contacting him using a burner phone.</s>

EDIT: Nevermind the last part, it was a note taped to the monitor of the computer in the bunker that was probably from Mr. Jefferson.

Can't say I'm surprised with the culprit. He has done nothing significant until now, but still keeps on being shown. He is probably a Prescott too.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm mistaken, but is Kate a junkie? On Frank's list, chihuahua is supposed to be Kate, right? She was mentioned on the list to have made several purchases.

I don't think Nathan sent anything. I think Jefferson sent it.

Here's what I think happened the night of the party (granted if things differ on other playthroughs, like if you get Jefferson kicked off the Everyday Heroes content, some or all of this might be wrong).

1) Jefferson and/or Nathan go to prepare the Dark Room for Victoria, who they are going to bring there after the party. Probably by Jefferson luring her into isolation after awarding her the winning entry for the photo contest, or by Nathan luring her away from everybody.

2) Jefferson and/or Nathan find the Dark Room compromised. Max and Chloe didn't exactly enter subtly (lock pulled off with engine), and they left the Mitt Romney style binders full of women collection out; specifically Rachel's stuff, and the empty Victoria folder. Pretty easy for Jefferson/Nathan 2+2 to put together there; whoever broke in knows about Rachel, knows Victoria is next. They however likely do not know exactly who broke in (Nathan would suspect Max/Chloe though I imagine).

3) Jefferson and/or Nathan figure Nathan's role in all this is compromised (letters to him all over the place, his jacket on the couch, photos of him there, etc). But nothing there suggests Jefferson has been compromised. Jefferson has been remarkably good at concealing his involvement. Though now I'm thinking that all of the artwork of Nathan's that creeps Max out, but sort of impresses her, is not Nathan's, but Jefferson's darker stuff and Max just appreciates his style reflexively.

4) At this point, Jefferson tells Nathan to go into hiding, or maybe even kills/imprisons him himself. He does this because Nathan is compromised, Rachel's body's location is compromised, meaning Nathan is a liability to Jefferson if caught. They need to find out who broke into the Dark Room and quick.

5) Jefferson and/or Nathan check where they buried Rachel and yep, sure enough, he's half dug up. Somebody knows too much to be allowed to live.

6) Jefferson goes to the party as planned to suss out who broke into the Dark Room, knowing whoever did will likely go there to warn Victoria. He sees Max talking to Victoria, or he figures it out when he talks to Max and Chloe and they seem extremely distracted and eager to leave. I can't remember if they also ask Jefferson if he's seen Nathan, but that would also be a dead giveaway.

7) Jefferson uses Nathan's phone (which as I said I suspect he has because he's killed/imprisoned Nathan, or told/forced Nathan to go into hiding) to lure Max and Chloe to the junkyard. This way if anything goes wrong as well and say, Max and Chloe arrive with cops, Jefferson has plausible deniability; twas Nathan who sent the message.

8) Kills Chloe, captures Max.

excellent deduction

Not my Max, she's going to the movies with him and wrote him an adorable note. :D

For me he totally earned a shot at winning his freckly hipster waifu's heart for the wrecking he put on Nathan, whether he succeeds or not.

I saw on reddit that if you go into Chloe and Rachel's hideout in the junkyard at night, you'll see that where you you see "Rachel was here", someone scribbled out the "was" and put "is". Additionally, if you put "Max was here" there will be extra graffiti saying something like "you'll be dead".

So in addition to Mr. Jefferson saying at the start of the game that he could "frame you all in a dark room..", I think when you first go outside one of the girls you talk to (Stella?) says that Rachel was sleeping with Mr. Jefferson. So there's that.

Does Warren always take a picture with Max regardless of if they're "going Ape?" Because I think Max can use that picture to fix this shit.

Max also has her selfie from the very start of Episode One - so I guess she could go all theway back, there and wreck him before anything happened.

And maybe Rachel Amber was only killed this week, so she could still be saved with a rewind all the way back to Monday.

Don't forget the fact that the homeless lady said that Rachel hung out with an older person that wasn't Frank.

Not that I can tell, since I rejected his movie request. But did Max ever get the photo from Warren in the first place?

Unless I'm misunderstanding your answer....

I rejected him and the picture happened, but I have a feeling we'll need to get away from Jefferson (maybe with David's help if he comes back and sees the map on Chloe's computer?) before we can get to Warren.

Not sure what's going to go down if he got kicked out by Joyce, though. Maybe Joyce invites him back due to her not being able to get ahold of Max or Chloe?

You know what I realized

Judging from where that tornado is coming from, Frank will be the first to be fucked :lol

That poor dog!

Haly

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
Oh you know, I think I figured out why Nathan was "texting" Max.

Jefferson decided Nathan was compromised and has him drugged up/bound and took his phone. That's why Nathan didn't show up to the party. Then he used the phone to bait Max and Chloe into the junkyard.

EDIT: Lol I see danm figured it out in much greater detail.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
I don't know why, but the way Nathan said "Please stop" after Warren beat him up really did not make me feel good.

I actually felt the same.

Rewinded, saw the interrupt warren had nathan pull out the same threat shit and thought "nah, fuck this guy" and beat him up again.

Nathan drives what Americans call a pickup truck, not an SUV, that was bugging me lol.

Edit: ack!

I feel like there was a double cultural misunderstanding. First, a pickup truck wouldn't be called a SUV. Second, someone like Nathan probably wouldn't be driving a truck. Given the class elements of the story, he would probably be in a Land Rover or Cayenne or Lexus.

I felt good that I stopped Warren in retrospect, both for his own sake (emotional and legal/criminal implications for Warren) and because now I feel though as Nathan is still a monster, he is far more of a pawn than I thought.
