I still think i like when Dennis and Dee go on Welfare the most...because maybe that just shocked me the most..and Then Dee's Dating a Retarded Person...Then Nightman Cometh, then Flowers For Charlie...

But i'm a sucker for that show , the style they have perfected i love it , i've seen the whole series so many times .

It's a little too cringey for me, I prefer The D.E.N.N.I.S. System. My fav sitcom ep from any show ever is probably The Germans from Fawlty Towers.

Mac Bangs Dennis's Mom is my favorite I think.

Dee: "I'm not going to have sex with you Charlie."
Charlie: "It's not sex I want from you... It's sex I don't want from Dennis."

Mac's Banging the Waitress is great too.

Show is perfect.
The one where Charlie becomes a genius has still the greatest reveal of all time. Just thinking about that moment still breaks me into laughter.

I propose the one where they eat at the restaurant.

It highlights all their fucked up relationships, and escalates to something super stupid.

Amazing episode.

Also really like The Gang gives Frank an Intervention, and most episodes apart from when they did the weird history episodes.

Alan Attraction (I'm Alan Partridge - Season 1 Episode 2, with Jill, the Buffet etc...) is maybe my favourite ever episode of a comedy show though.

(PS: Seen a lot of people mention Community in this thread, and I just never got it. Gave the whole first season a go, but never particularly enjoyed it or laughed much. I think Always Sunny, Peep Show, The Office (US), Seinfeld, Arrested Dev, Curb etc... are all v good, but just never got Community. Am I missing something?)

The first season of Community is terrible until the end, when it ramps into what Community actually is.

So hard to pick a favorite but I've always been a fan of The Gang Dances Their Asses Off.

Also:
Arrested Development - Let ‘Em Eat Cake
Curb Your Enthusiasm - The Doll

And for a show that hasn't been mentioned yet, Silicon Valley

Switch Back 9

a lot of my threads involve me fucking up somehow. Perhaps I'm a moron?
Shut up old man. Nobody wants to hear about your golden age Depends commercials for rapists and Cheers.

Hoooooo burn.

Anyhoo, my contribution (so many good ones already posted) is

Fawlty Towers : The Germans

John Cleese destroys this episode. His depiction of concussion effects is both realistic -to a degree- and hilarious. IMO One of the finest single performances in the history of television.

EDIT:
My fav sitcom ep from any show ever is probably The Germans from Fawlty Towers.
Yesssss.

The only thing I know about Fawlty Towers is from Community...

Well, go watch it then. It's a fucking awesome show. I even got someone born in 1995 to like it so don't pass it over because it looks dated.

Funniest episode ever? it's pretty funny and probably one of the funniest Always Sunny episodes but as for funniest, maybe the Jump on it episode from Fresh Prince or a shit tonne of Malcolm in the Middle episodes. Favourites that come to mind:

The episode where the boys build a slingshot
The episode with the Komodo 3000 firework and the payoff at the end
The episode where Stevey punches Reese
The bowling episode like the movie Sliding Doors
The episode where Francis eats the Quacks

I could do this all day.

I had a high school English teacher who showed this episode to all his classes each year. Even though he had to have seen the episode at least 60 times he kept cracking up and was eagerly anticipating each joke and punchline. I didn't care for the episode all that much, but it was very endearing to see how much the teacher enjoyed it. He died a few months ago, one month after retirement, but I'll cherish that moment.

I love this show so much. I think my favorite episode is Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare. When Dennis wakes up to the feral dog eating his sandwich... I just die laughing every time.

CHAMPION OF THE SUN

Yes it's definitely the best episode of the series. There was a recent episode though when Paddy's Pub gets an inspection that may be my personal favorite.

When Frank paints himself black and pretends to be a smoke alarm, I just about died.

God, yes. Malcolm in the Middle has basically no bad episodes, IMO. The ones you listed are great, and another one I like is the one where Hal goes to Abe's for poker for the first time.

I've not seen the episode, but the description in the OP reminds me a lot of Futurama's The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings, which I thought was also a great, highly clever episode.

Sweet Dee's Dating a Retarded Person has got to be my favorite episode, followed closely by Charlie Gets Molested...but there are so many great episodes of Always Sunny that it's hard to choose. It's the closet thing to Seinfeld that I've ever seen. No hugs, no learning.

Amazing episode. My favorites:
1) The Nightman Cometh
2) Who Pooped the Bed?
3) Sweet Dee's Dating a Retarded Person

The Halloween episode where they try and figure out who impregnated Dee was great, too.

honestly, I think always sunny is the only ever to have ALOT of consistent funny episodes.

When the retelling of the night reached the point where Dee was an actual bird, my mate and I laughed so hard we upset our housemate's dog.

something that I always liked about the musical aspect of cometh is that three out of the five main characters actually have really good singing voices
