Pretty sure the game is banned for discussion on GAF. Google it, I'm sure you'll find out why.
I googled it and looked at the gaf OT after posting my comment couldn't find a lot of real impressions though. Didn't see much in the OT besides mentioning it's "Fan service heavy" which doesn't say a lot. The thread was just full of "How do I do Y" or "Do this to get this item".
EDIT: Is there an official list somewhere of games that are banned for discussion?
because the vita is legacy console , SCEA doesn't recognize it
I have the first game on Vita. I haven't finished it, but from what I read there are multiple endings depending on what articles you read, and some characters only appear if you read certain things.
I didn't like the game myself since I ended up getting bored since there weren't any likable characters and I wasn't finding the story interesting. So I ended up dropping the game pretty early on. :|

You raise good points, but NA and JP regions have different buildd making them incompatible online, aka the online community is dead in NA. Why bother grabbing it then?

To realize what you've been missing. The game is that good. Trust me...you play this game and its a great release for your creativity as a player. You can just go nuts and it often gives me ideas of things I should be trying in other fighters. Its really incredible. Plus its not completely dead online. Folks still play.
it's not that good, and the aesthetic really brings the whole package down
yeah, especially considering USFIV is on the same system there's no point in picking it up

Ehh...I may get Xblaze and Sweet Fuse if the prices are good enough.
There are multiple endings but no direct dialog choices exactly, endings are based on other factors.
Surprised me how visually stunning it was, easily the best looking VN game I've played. I played on Vita and have been wondering if it comes across as nicely on a big screen.
It's a terrible game IMO.

I played Sherlock on the PS3 and though it was quite janky at times and I mostly did it for the platinum I thought the deduction system was really cool. Might run better on PS4.

Sportsfriend's is amazing local fun, probably the most Underrated game of this generation. Pole Riders or Vaulters or whatever and Bari Bari Ball are top notch.

Everybody should get Gladiator Begins psp... such a great game if you like arena gladiator combat. Holds up, bought it full price last year or so and put a ton of hours into it.
I remember hearing really good things about Ragnarok Tactics as well, but it's in my backlog.. [bought that full price too i think]

If you don't already own Arcana Heart 3 Love Max you need to buy it if you are even the slightest fan of fighting games. I wont justify the super moe aesthetic because there isn't any justification for it, but its the biggest sandbox of tools I've ever experienced in a competitive fighter.
- dash cancels are universal and work on pretty much everything
- you have a homing dash. Plus if you tap it twice plus a direction you rocket faster in that direction meaning its steerable for a ton of Magneto style stuff and a ton of hard to read crossups.
- Has an X factor system where the bonus you get depends on the Arcana you choose. This ranges from healing, super canceling, hyper armor, damage buffs to even crazier stuff like magnetism on all normals.
- Equipping an arcana gives your character several passive abilities, a defense/offense stat modifier to augment your character, gives you several new specials, supers, and an ultra. It COMPLETELY changes any character's options. Want beams and homing projectiles with cancels? Love Arcana. Want Tager style magnetic combos? Magnetism arcana. Its crazy.
- Character movesets are crazy and generally some get pretty wild with character specific tools. Jojo style stands, Hurricane Polimar style glyphs and cancels, Traps that trigger once enough traps are on the board but with bonus effects due to what combination you dealt...this and tons more exist even before you Arcana modify stuff.
This game is what I pray DBZ turns into in fighting games someday because it is the most sandbox and mixup crazy shit I've ever witnessed in a fighter. Just get it while its cheap and check out the craziness.
I've said it before but check this one mixup out in particular
Those kunai fly upwards on command. They woke up expecting more corner pressure, ate the throw and then got jumped on. You block high you eat the kunai, you block low you eat the jump in, you forward roll you corner yourself and you backwards roll and they use homing dash on jump in and you run very close to being hit by the kunai anyways and might not make it.

I'm with the handful of people who had negative experiences with it. Owned it on Early Access for Steam and played it a ton. Gets very repetitive and boring, and I have no desire to return back to it.

I :3 every time I see you go ham about Arcana Heart.
It really is a good (and rather unique) fighting game that's just been marred by some awful circumstances (some self-inflicted, others not).
This game is the definitive imageepoch game for me -- mainly showing how badly they could fuck up a game that was teed up to be a hit. A series and characters that were basically engineered to print money and everything about the game is good except the game itself. Woof. If you're given an opportunity like that and fuck it up as badly as they did, it shouldn't be a surprise that they no longer exist.
If you go in expecting a visual novel and can put up with the wack RPG element, you'll enjoy it (and it'll be well worth whatever price it sells at in this sale). If you're expecting a meaty RPG... you're going to have a bad time.

Its why I'm hoping Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars corrects a few of those circumstances. People can say whatever they want about it, but there is no denying how incredibly deep the mind games, setups, and skill involved in this game can get.
You can just customize every aspect of how you wish to play a character. Imagine if you could give Chun Li a beam and projectile cancels in marvel 3, or if you could give Iron Fist homing projectiles...it'd be insane. You can just go nuts with any character period. You may sacrifice their overall damage on moves to gain several passive traits and really good specials and defense or just the opposite and gain a ton of damage and specials at the cost of your ability to take a hit. Plus the XFactor thing being something customizable in addition is huge for folks.
Folks can say "its not that great" if they want, but I'd like for them to prove it somehow in a definitive way in terms of gameplay. It had the region lock thing affecting online and some bad choices on aesthetic no doubt, but that does not make it bad in terms of gameplay or as a game. It just forced the gem to become overlooked.
I will defend this game whole heartedly every chance I can. The sheer level of mixups and mind games you can achieve is incredible. My God the shit you can do as Dorothy..she has triple air projectiles that on whif stick in the ground and show playing cards. If you can get a 2 more cards on the board they will automatically pop up and do an attack. This lets you trap people by tossing them on the stage and then chasing them into pincer attack scenarios. Plus she can slide a trap card under folks that will fire multiple projectiles straight up, and she has multiple GTFO style tricks. Just walls you to death with left right mixup pressure. And if her cards form actual poker hands they do bonus extra effects!
Now imagine if you added an arcana that added something like a homing projectile you could toss above them too...heck imagine if she had done that above gif near a corner!
Just insane amounts of mind games!
