Elfen Lied at least had the decency to throw gallons of blood and severed limbs in the breaks between it's harem antics.

Gokukoku no Brynhildr is a really boring show most of the time.
But the ending is maybe the biggest goddamn clusterfuck of an anime ending I've ever seen.
Anime is known for having bad or just non-endings. I feel bad calling the last few episodes of Gokukoku no Brynhildr an ending, because I feel like I'm abusing a word.

the fact that they show characters being alive for like 3 frames when they straight up shouldn't be at the end made me mad.
I'm gonna watch the ambition of oda nobuna next.

Kind of late but really liked episode 6 of Sore ga Seiyuu. Futaba overcame the terrible and frustrating feeling of jealousy thanks to some very good advice from her senior. You don't have to be a VA to relate to those issues and the advice is also really good:

I've also started rewatching Bakemonogatari, saw 3 episodes and Hitagi Crab didn't really strike me as something related to personal issues the first time I watched it. I'm glad I rewatched it,
only she could solve her own problem. This isn't really surprising, the whole series revolves around each person's personal issues, it's just that I didn't really notice this the first time I watched it.
Watched 11 episodes of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures Star Dust Crusaders part 1 - I'm really enjoying it so far
pretty close depiction of India in episode 10 and 11 (source: I'm Indian).

Top 5 is kinda difficult, especially ranked. Unranked would probably go roughly as follows:

So this Ghost Hound thing. I've never even heard of it but the staff looks mightily impressive. Lain's director and writer + Shirow. The apparent aimlessness of the plot which I'm reading about in the reviews scares me a bit but I might need to check it out nonetheless.

Aaah I'm so hyped for the new OP! I was in love with the first season's, let's see if this can top it.
Also I'm surprised they're getting as far as the Ebisu arc in this, I figured they would just be adapting the Viina arc. Since they're finally done with the Yukine being an asshole part it'll finally be enjoyable!

So I was in Tokyo around a week ago and just happened to catch this while channel surfing. It really is an adorable and cute little series, a great antithesis to the otherwise more serious in-tone anime I've been watching. The ED is just amazing in terms of its cuteness.

Not too keen on the song though. At least compared to the S1 one.

I say this fully aware that crap like Beyond the Boundary will sell better, but....
Im more worried that if HQ gets a s3 and s4 that sentai wouldnt release it.

After last week I wasn´t sure what direction the series would take, or if it could be able to keep the story interesting, luckily all my doubts were cleared with this episode. Lots of foreshadowing and lots of feels, especially at the ending. Looking forward for more.

Damn, I'm not sure why I waited so long to watch this one. Thsi anime is awesome stuff. Great adult cast (well outside of the nurse, lol) overall, lots of action and violance, and an interesting story to follow. I mean this show is bloody as hell outside of ep. 4, which was mostly backstory to fill us in on our MC's. Super bloody.. Finally we are getting somewhere with what is wrng with Ally, a gigalo for a prostitute. What a pair those two are..

They had a stronger track record for quality dubs in the late ADV era of the early 2000s... this despite the fact that they're still largely making use of the same Houston-based talent pool of actors and directors.
I get the impression they're putting less time into quality control these days. The current crop of engineers clearly aren't at the level of a Jason Grundy, either.

Usage of OP in the balloon scene was nice though, speaking about the OP, lots of stuff changed, wonder they slipped anything cool in?

You know what, this is exactly the kind of episode this series needed as we basically getting insight of the business of living and getting character development along the way and we also see portents of the future. Yes, kudos, for the series for giving us some desperately needed emotional content that isn't horror or sorrow.

Matsuda is too good. I wish we did have more time with Light, L, Matsuda, and Misa Misa going on various detective pursuits for quite a while. They make a great team especially with the occasional help from Near (though why is Mello a doll, as a MattMello fan this is the worst news of the adaptation ).
Light looks so creepy though.
