We've battled over Brady for nearly a decade now, bionic. It's time for you to admit defeat!
What?

Defeat?

Dude in 2004 it was a joke even on GAF when I said the Pats were evil and cheating scumbags. Now that shit is assumed by NFL fans and actually talked about in the media.

It is you who need to admit defeat. As acceptance of defeat you need to replace your Kobe's with a pair of size 10 Uggs and post a picture of it.

Nah the topic of this thread is people finding bs reasons to be outraged over the football equivalent of having too much pine tar on your bat. Even baseball fans who are among the most uptight in all of sports don't give a shit about pine tar.

I shouldn't be surprised though. ESPN has sort of conditioned sports fans to blow every story far out of proportion. Skip and SAS have taught you all well.
ESPN is making a shitload of cash off of bitter disgruntle opposing fans regarding the Pats. If I was them I would milk these stories too as long as I have a audience.

There is a great team in sports every few years.

From the Lakers in the 80s to the Lakers in the 00s to the Spurs when the Lakers were not trying (no one actually played basketball for most of the 90s, everyone agreed it was whack and tried to become rappers but came back when the money dried up).

Weird how the "salt" and accusations only seem to stick with the Patriots year and year.

Its strange how the explanation for everything in New England seems to be salt.

The explanations are little things like science and the law. "Salt" is the reason for other's apparent unwillingness to accept those explanations.

I called it. I knew the judge was a fan. that judge should be fired.

Like this. Even after a proceeding in which it became obvious the NFL was going to lose and then did so when the judge acted properly, you still see this.

Again, the judge from a court chosen specifically by the NFL. The union wanted a completely different venue.

mre

Golden Domers are chickenshit!!
You as well as this judge apparently don't know what "appearance of impropriety" means.
You may have a point if this picture was snapped while the case was pending in front of him. Now that he's ruled, however, there is no "appearance of impropriety."

Good luck with this. He's a federal judge.

You assume I don't already have Uggs?

Exactly.

Where is the mainstream 5pur5 and St. Louis Cardinals hate?

San Francisco Giants hate?
Even though as a Doyers fan I say, fuck em.

Yes, the Patriots are hated because solely because they are successful. That is the only reason.

Weird how the majority of the league seems to think the Pats are cheating scumbags. They even take special precautions.

They probably need to cut back on their salt intake to whatever level is the norm in New England because that is the only place on Earth where you can find anyone who is willing to give the Pats the benefit of the doubt.

Salt!

Do you honestly think slightly deflated footballs in one half of a blow out when the QB had better stats the second half with proper balls and set a passing record the next game in the SB really warrants this circus?

I'm pretty sure it's salt and just scandal culture in general.

We need our salt for the winter roads, not winning year after year...

To be fair New England is located on the atlantic coastline. We know how to deal with salt, and when the winter time comes and we want to keep the roads and sidewalks safe from black ice we throw down salt too. I am a expert in dealing with saltiness. Went swimming in the Cape a few years ago and all I could taste was salt.

Yep, the deflated balls was an isolated incident for the Patriots.

LOL as if the general public gives a shit about basketball or baseball.

Well, looks like the NFL is about to win THEIR appeal of Berman's decision...

LOL

Can't make this stuff up!

Good job, Bob Kraft. Those few minutes are all it'll take to get the Judge's ruling overturned and Brady will be sitting out 4 games in 2016.

Strange that this post lacks any substantiation whatsoever. And by strange I mean par for the course.

The NFL is definitely not going to win their appeal. Anyone who thinks they will is not paying any attention.

Are they though? Isn't Kraft, and Tisch, as an owner technically on the NFL's side of the case?

Its possible that they could have won those games on their own without cheating or attempting to break the rules.

But thats the downside to being a cheater.

Once you are caught or accused everything you ever did is viewed as suspicious.

Pats fans need to have a pity party with Lance Armstrong, Barry Bonds, etc.

It should be a good party. Thanks to the all the haters there will be no shortage of salt!

Baaaaaw-ston fans won't even acknowledge that ManRam and Papi juiced them to that 100 year slumpbuster.

Master Kraft is the best. Goodell thought he was smart filing a lawsuit in NY first. Little did he know that Master Kraft has friends everywhere.

The Giants and Steelers had recent 15 year runs? I must have napped and missed it.
Eli had an unprecedented run of close to 28 years of being a starting qb and also being a virgin (even though parts of his marriage). He also went that entire time without ever coming close to looking remotely cool or normal in a photograph or on tv.

When you talk of the great runs of sports, this is just one of those records that may never be broken. The record was previously held by AC Green, one which most of us thought was unassailable. And then Eli showed up on the scene...

I'm not sure what the suggestion is, that Kraft bribed the Judge?

The NFL choose the venue for the debate and the judge was randomly assigned the case. The giants owner was at the party too, so if Brady has lost, would we be making some odd accusation about the giants owner and Berman being at the same party?
