any update on journey or hotline miami PSN version? myfriend ordered both for me and hasnt heard from iam8bit i think.

The Journey one was delayed because of a manufacturing issue. If your friend ordered it he should have received an e-mail about it.

Now that DD is shipping out their first 2 releases, any ETA on the next 3 announcements?

We already know one of them is Shinobi 3. They've confirmed it, but not officially announced it. They've said they will be soon, but preorders won't go up until all of the 001 and 002 pre-orders have shipped.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get announcements this week or next.

Just had to hop in here and mentioned the Super Time Force soundtrack by 6955 is on vinyl. Sleeve artwork is done by Capy artist Vic Nguyen.

Anyone interested can head to https://6955.bandcamp.com/ and check it out.

Also, because 6955 is a cool dude, you can use Discount Code: 6950 to get 50% off.

Does it by any chance have slowed down versions of the level soundtracks? I.e when you're rewinding time etc.

They said they would announce them when they're all done with shipping of 001 and 002. So presumably very soon.

EDIT: Also I'm grabbing that Super Time Force OST! Thanks for the heads up. I was actually hopping to grab a splatter copy off a reseller if I'd find a good price, but $10 for the regular black is too good a deal to skip.

They're going to announce at least some stuff before they've finished shipping the first, they just aren't taking pre-orders until after. From their Facebook page:

We'll also be announcing our next titles very soon and are looking forward to sharing plenty of exciting news. We will not, however, be taking any pre-orders for DATA003 until all existing orders have shipped.

They've said there will be three things next, one being Shinobi 3. Don't know if they'll announce all three at once or what. But, sounds like we won't be waiting long.

Also, some jabs at iam8bit (I assume):

Ah, that's how it was. Thanks. But that's even better then.

Now, if you guys could stop posting all these discounts so I can afford the Data Discs releases when they go for sale, that'd be great ;)

Anyone who got a shipping confirmation from Data Discs... Did it include any sort of tracking information?

Mine didn't. I don't recall if they even offered tracked shipping.

EDIT: Just checked - for me they only offered Airmal signed for, but no tracking. It might be different for orders outside Europe, though.

So apparently this is a recently released promo copy of the Final Symphony album with orchestrated versions of music from Final Fantasy VI, VII, and X. Let's hope that this means a full release is coming!

Hey guys, not exactly the right thread for it, but figured anybody here in the UK may be interested...

If I can find a gig buddy for Bristol I'll be going for sure!

Oh man, if only he would come to Canada...

Woo! My new turntable got here! I used a storage company to hold my college stuff over the summer, and my Akai AP-A2 I got used at a local used record store was totally trashed. Got a Audio Technica AP-LP-120, and it sounds really good.

I've been considering picking that one up, is that what everyone would recommend? I don't actually have anything now though I do have a relatively nice receiver (Yamaha RX-A1020) / audio (NHT Absolute) setup.

My Super Time Force already shipped. Crazy. Should be here by the weekend.

I'd go with the LP120 if you don't mind the price, especially considering all that you can do with them, but the LP60 would also be fine for a starter turntable.

It's crucial to ensure that your LP-120 is set up correctly (tonearm balancing and counterweight adjustment).

I have one of these; as far as I know it's a strictly promotional item and it doesn't actually include the full concert; it includes the full FF6 arrangement on side A, and then one movement each from the 7 and 10 arrangements on side B, but not the full thing. The encores are absent too as a result.

This concert is out on blu-ray this week, though. Highly recommended to all.

Shit, those are beautiful. Can't wait for mine. I didn't put in an order until like two weeks ago, though. So, probably have a good wait until mine ships.

LP60 or LP120 are great starters, yeah!

Thank you! Is initial setup difficult or is that something I can do myself following a guide?

The LP-120 includes instructions and there are a ton of youtube videos that will help you.

It's not difficult at all (especially since they tell you what to set it at), but setting the system up incorrectly, or not at all, could damage a record (if the counterweight is too heavy for example the needle will just drag across the record scratching both the groove and damaging your cartridge).

In addition, a local record store owner most likely knows how to set them up or would refer you to someone to do it at a VERY nominal fee. I've seen guys around here do it for like $10.

Very easy, you should have no problem.

Ah, OK! Thanks again to the both of you.

I'm not entirely sure if I have the tone arm weights 100% set correctly, but theres a range of 2 mm, where I have mine set up where it seems balanced-ish, and anything outside of it is not. So I tried my best to get it in there...

I have never felt like I could get my tone arm set right. Always seemed like it was way too heavy. I actually just ordered one of these scales this morning from Amazon. So, I'll finally get it right come friday when that shows up.

The mailman was here. Both of them are absolutely gorgeous!

I didn't want to spoil the awesome looking record colors for the limited editions here for those of you waiting for the records to arrive, but I've uploaded images to Discogs if you want to have a peek anyway:

Streets Of Rage: http://www.discogs.com/Yuzo-Koshiro-Streets-Of-Rage/release/7453578
Shenmue: http://www.discogs.com/Takenobu-Mit...rata-and-Yuzo-Koshiro-Shenmue/release/7453634

Got my SoR one today too - it's glorious. My wallet can't handle EVERY release but will definitely pick up those from games I like!

Cheers! Went half off not because I really wanted to, but shipping to the UK kills me so much with all the vinyl I want :( Still salty about TLoU shipping costs. I've also just spent a small fortune tonight on some music vinyl.

Mine turned up yesterday but can't get them from the sorting office until Saturday :(

Our postal office is super slow too, i hate getting the note in the mail on a friday saying "you have a large shipment" and it states i have to wait until monday to pick it up.

Keeping my records hostage over the weekend!
