Super Mario Maker |OT| Miyamoto Simulator 2015

Yep.
You need to.
1. First notification that it unlocks next day = place random items/block for a minute or two.

2. You'll receive an "unlocked earlier notification".

3. Use everything you unlocked for a 5 minutes, you'll receive a "next day notification"

4. Rinse and repeat.

I thought people were talking about not having to do that earlier though because Nintendo listened.

Adding the CRT mode to the list of little things to mess around with.

This'll likely have loads of little secrets as it seems to be going down the Mario Paint route. (All the secrets in that game)

Again for those who didn't see, pressing up whilst playing will have your character pose. =D

Originally you had to "create" for 5 minutes a day (and a bit more) ,for 9 days to unlock everything.

Now, you basically unlock everything every 5 (plus) minutes; no need to wait untill next day.

So they did listened. :p

Wait what?!
Yeah. Since the voice changes depending on the tune of the music, it also varies.

Finally beat Expert 100 Mario Challenge. I skipped SO MANY terrible levels by Japanese players. There's one guy on twitch streaming a level that has a 0% completion rate. What the hell?

I am never doing that horribad crap again. Holy shit.
Was this "Can You Fly"? It was just a NSMB level that consisted of some Goombas trapped in a platform, an abyss and a barely visible flagpole at the end of a seemingly impossible jump.

Also, I'm loving all of the Mario Paint references- Undo Dog, the Createbot music, the guys doing sit-ups on the loading screens... I'm sure there are more but I'm glad that Nintendo threw them in.

I really love what's in the game already but I REALLY hope they plan to expand and grow the game as it has ridiculous amounts of potential. As others have said, add an overworld editor/maker. Let players choose, make, or share custom music for their levels (think a better version of Mario Paint), flesh out the functionality more to add more things that were possible in the mario games, and perhaps even add new art styles past the nostalgic ones (for instance, a completely hand drawn one, maybe in the mario comic style or even paper mario).

what is here is a great base but it could be otherworldly with regular content updates

I have faith in Nintendo these days. I mean - Mario Kart 8, Splatoon and Smash ( their flagship titles, which SMM certainly is as well ) have been getting great updates.

It's pretty cool when you're playing the game and you start getting notifications that people are playing your level.

Here's a code for one I just made:

Friend or Foe: 66A3-0000-0012-F7A2

Man, playing a great (but hard) level called great escape. Super well designed, will post the code afterwards.

Go play this one, it's super fun:

I feel people will appreciate the GOAT level designers at EAD a lot more after playing this game. Designing good levels is really hard and this will not make future 2D Mario games redundant.

I already do, but especially so after some of the horrors I've witnessed since last night.

yeah absolutely, I'm hopeful, just curious since nothing has been mentioned. it's a pretty stark difference from other games this generation that are trying to get money for expansions before the main game is even released haha!

Ok i have spent the last hour making this course please leave me any feedback possible the name of the stage is Zelda 2 Palace 1. 0AE6-0000-0013-136D

Physics in SMB feel weird at first, takes some getting used to. I really like the interface but the lack of tools had me turning it off after 10 minutes.

How is other stuff unlocked?

Dumb question, but I must be missing something: in loads of pre-release footage of the create mode there's a "ghost" of the Mario you control when testing so you can see the path he takes just before exiting the test, but I can't seem to get it to come up. Any help? :)

Uploaded my first level: 5DD8-0000-0013-2239

It's a Super Mario World themed course that's meant to flow well and not be too challenging. It's short and pretty easy to get through. I'd love to hear what you guys think!

No, it was a level where you needed to get a Wing Cap in mid air, instantly fly up, then wall jump from 1-block pathways to unlock a Paratroopa, then go back and jump off of it over a giant Pirhana Plant.

EDIT: Anyway, here's a tutorial level I made if you want to get used to the physics: 395F-0000-0012-8C2B

There's a button at the bottom of the screen. You might have to play for a while for it to unlock.

My first attempt at a level. It's not much, but I don't have most of the tools unlocked and it's 3:30 in the morning, so whatever.

Koopa Kavern: EEDE-0000-0013-2634. Cheers.

Bought a digital code from Amazon, redeemed it through the Nintendo website and it says it's downloading now! Didn't realise Nintendo had implemented remote downloading too. Can't wait to give this a whirl when I get home!

Well this is a little awkward posting right after Coketruck...

First level here: Koopa Troopa Cavern.

611A-0000-0013-2A9D

Some notes about the level:

Tried to make a medium-difficulty Mario level while learning the editor.
Beginner friendly so that the entire level can be beaten without using the run button.
Included an optional speed-run route for expert players. Can you beat the level in 15 seconds?
Used the first day items almost exclusively.
Focused on a single enemy type and its variations.

Enjoy!

Holy shit

The fly swatting game from Mario Paint just started while I was creating a level

Edit:
3 levels, unlocked the Builder Mario costume when I beat it.

My first (concept) level: Removed from server

This feels a little bit unfair, this is why the rest of the level is peaceful!
(Goomboss and a nice stroll through 1-1)

Very early and pretty basic level using the starting item set. Kinda proud of it! The amiibo costumes are so cool.

Man this game is wicked. I love the 100 Mario challenge. Such a great way to present user created content in an accessible way. I'll be cranking this up forever.

Just finished Expert 100 Mario Challenge. It took over an hour and I ended with 9 lives.

Never again.

Edit: Also nobody has completed my second stage. I didn't think it was that difficult.
