Created my third stage, using Day 3 elements (that is, underwater!).

I've never been too big on underwater stages so I really had to think of elements to make it fun. I ended up using bullet bills in tricky ways to make a more tense and exciting stage. I also put Koopa Troopa living their daily lives underwater in tiny rooms. They do cute stuff haha.

There's a very tricky 1-up to get in one part of the stage. It'd be cool if somebody got it.

I found out today that there's a limit on how many of each block you can put. I was using a lot of stone blocks, and eventually it wouldn't let me put anymore.

Yeah, you gotta try and figure out what the player can and can't see. Get rid of the blocks that they would never see. They'll never know the whole stage isn't filled.

I've had a few plays on mine but not really got any feedback, is there a way to see where everyone has died in the editor or something?

Please check out Vine Dungeon if you have time, really keen for some feedback. Someone said it's quite difficult but just don't try run through it and you'll be fine. This is my first level so I'm worried I've made this one with bad habits.

Beat it. It's too hard though. I had to gimmick on the Lakitu to beat it. ;) once the lakitus start coming there is too much on the screen. It's less skill and more just chaos. But it's pretty fun either way!

Yeah I was worried about the Lakitus being too powerful. I thought I placed them that you couldn't get on the cloud, I'll have to adjust that! Lemme try yours.

I've found myself listening the editor remix songs of SMM in Youtube while working and it's amazing. This songs are perfect as ambient music while working i tell you. Based Kondo <3

Placing them higher will just put them outta view, and leads to cheap deaths. You could wall it off, but they still might find a way to hop on one and get around obstacles.

Maybe get rid of them completely and add another element?

Edit: You could add a subworld. That way if they do hop on one they'll have to get off to go into a pipe.

FINALLY got a chance to play my copy a little bit. Up to day 4 worth of stuff.

100 Mario challenge has been a bit disappointing so far. Easy was pretty pathetic, just flat stages, or stages that give you a star then have you run through a million enemies. I wish people would consider what they're uploading a little more carefully, especially since you only start with 10 slots.

Also is it weird that I was expecting saving/loading to take forever like it does in Mario Paint? I remember staring at that robot and listening to that music for minutes at a time while my stuff saved, lol.

I just wish the music in the actual levels wasn't just one or two songs. It should have a bunch of unique music tracks to choose from for levels too. :(

I'm working on a Super Meat Boy inspired level called Super Meat Bros. Lots of wall hanging jumps and avoiding saw blades. If anything this is more of a proof of concept. If you guys like it I'll go back, spruce it up a little, and maybe add some more jumps. Let me know what you think!

Hi everyone! I made a Castlevania inspired level. I haven't seen all the levels in this thread, but I'm sure someone else has tried something with that theme. I haven't made any levels that are particularly difficult. I'm just trying to get familiarized with all the features.

Ha, that's true. I could use the bridge piece where once you go past it you can't go back underneath and force them into a subworld.

Is there a way to edit the course I uploaded or do I have to delete it and reupload it again?

First time sharing a level here. I'd love some feedback. Tried to make a level that would feel like a real Mario level, but was a little too tempted to mess around with some of the cool stuff you can do. Not a difficult level at all, and there's a secret area that is very much a homage to SMW. Please give it a try and I'll return the favor!

Having more vertical space would blow the doors wide open. I'm sure there are memory limitations but it would open so many more possibilities. I wonder if there would be vertical "type" levels where you'd be able to just rotate, in a manner of speaking, the playing field.

Cleared all the 8-man Mario levels (not the 4 bonus ones though), played 100 man mario a few times...

I don't think I've played a single good level yet. A few funny gimmick ones. Even the top rated ones basically all suck. I haven't tried any in this thread yet,though...

I'm trying to create a decent course, but I need SMB3 or SMW style to make it work, and neither is unlocked. Perhaps it's just time to leave the game off for a week and see if stuff unlocks when I turn it back on.

Doesn't work like that, as the orders just appear when you use the editor for five minutes. Just play with the editor for five minutes, and when you get a notice for a delivery the other day, spam the place with blocks.

Also, play GAF levels. There are plenty here that are super good. The community showcase in the first page is a good place to start.

I think there's supposed to be a fast way to unlock, even if you don't mess with your Wii U clock. Just make a stage using all the new stuff, and spam all the new blocks for like 5 minutes. You should get new unlocks after that. Repeat until you have everything.

I don't have the game myself, but I have been reading amusing reactions to my friend's level: "A Song of Magic and Bullets" 90AB-0000-0026-837F

At last count the stage had been cleared 3 times and had resulted in 1704 dead Marios. If anyone here manages to beat it, I'd like to hear your impressions. :p
I'm quoting this since no one replied -- did anyone manage to beat it?

I'm with you there. I'm being frugal as hell with my stars in an attempt to encourage good uploads. Most people seem to just hit upload on whatever junk they were messing around with at the time! I need to print a sheet of GAF level codes and try those out.

I've found a few decent levels on "normal" difficulty but they often fall apart before the end. Level design ain't easy!

So ive been on twitch having people play my Bombsket-Ball level and im getting pretty positive reactions!!! Its a nice change of pace for these streamers who get fed nothing but the masochistic levels over and over again.

Im gonna post the code again in case anyone else wants to DUNK DAT SHIT.

(You shoot/dunk bombs like a basketball to clear your way to the next part of the stage)

Oh some asshole reported my stage and it got deleted. It was a bit dark, but come on.

Oh crap, hope my Goodness Gracious (BEA3-0000-0035-3C92) stage doesn't get reported...you can basically hit some statues in the nuts and they yelp.

Anyway, here's my newest stage! It's a maze called Deja Vu, I had a lot of fun making it. F956-0000-003B-4180
