Back so soon, not sure why but there expected a full year between the last season and the new one.

Looking forward to this a lot. This, Man Seeking Woman and Catastrophe made it a excellent year for new comedies.

- THR: The Last Man on Earth': Will Forte Reveals Changes to Expect in Season 2 *Spolers*
What did you learn from season one that you're going to apply to season two?

One of the things we did last season was introduce a lot of characters along the way. They were fun twists and turns. But then at a certain point, we had done it so many times that people caught on and they expected it. So we're trying to find new ways to give you twists and turns this year that might not involve the introduction of characters.

So far we're pretty happy with our ideas. Honestly, we learned so much, but ultimately it comes down to what we agree on in the writers room and we just go for it. There were a couple things that happened in the first season that were a bit polarizing for the audience, but we stand by them. Hopefully, people who watch this show know we aren't trying to please everyone. We're very committed to telling the story the way that we feel like telling it and it's not always going to be the most popular thing that everyone is going to like.

Hopefully, they'll give us a little credit for sticking to our guns and trying different things. I guess what I'm saying is we learned a bunch of lessons that we're probably not going to apply. (Laughs) Obviously we love our audience and want them to enjoy the show, but we have enough respect for our audience to not always take the easiest route.

As someone who fell out when Todd came on the show and I just couldn't keep watching Phil be such a jerk to everyone, should I give this show a second chance? It was far too cringeworthy.

This season seems like kind of a reboot. It's going to be just Phil and Carol, at least initially.

I enjoyed the first season so I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from there. Will Forte and Kirsten Schaal have really good chemistry.

That's awesome to hear, the first season started off so well but it got worse each time a new character showed up. By the end it no longer was about the last man on Earth, it was just a normal sitcom.

Friggin Todd...SMH.

Yes, you should give it another try this season.

I binged the entire first season on Hulu this week and found it excellent. Definitely will be catching it tomorrow.

As a fan of physical media, is there a way I can purchase the first season on Blu-Ray? I thought I read they were releasing it, but can't find any details on it now...

even if this season has Phil and Carol off on their own for the entire time (which I don't expect), I can only see it continuing the cringe comedy so it might not be for you. Worth a try though

Outstanding premiere; seems like Sudeikis will be a regular this season.

Seems like it'll be even more serialized this season.

That was great. Very funny. The parallels between the Millers was neat. I thought the Paper Planes/gunfire bit was really clever. Good way to start the season.
