I believe in capcom, my trust in most other japanese publishers in making good PC ports or ports at all is pretty low.
Don't think that will happen, if you take a look at squares current steam catalogue I would say anything but final fantasy is in a distant future for us.

I don't think it's likely but I'd grab SOV on PC in a heartbeat.
Sega has a pretty good track record with ports so far though, I think it's safe to be optimistic for them in particular.

Of course not. I'm always up for more JRPGs on Steam. I'm still a little cautious of Star Ocean story-wise after the last couple of games, but I'm sure the battle system will be worth it.

I know it is, which baffles me because the series is repetitive as hell. But then again, I have some weird tastes, so to each their own.
Storywise? No idea, I wasn't really paying attention to it. I know that
when I reached the DLC chapters it had already long overstayed its welcome.

However it is surprising that Capcom hasn't tried bringing Ace Attorney Trilogy or 4 to Steam, since they both have IOS ports.

Like you said Capcom does well, Namco Bandai games are okay as (except for KT games), Idea Factory, H2 Interactive (Korean), ASW does great work (when DotEmu is not involved***Battle Fantasia***), Degica brings quality products over as well.

For Jshackles: I un-bugged FFV. I verified my cache, the game downloaded a 0 kb file, then I went to dinner while leaving the game running in the main section of Moogle's village (where there are running moogles). When I returned, the moogle you saved was OUTSIDE his home, I talked with him and the game proceeded. So you need to talk with him when he is outside the tree, just wait some moments until he will come out, I think.
Resonance of Fate is one of those games that i never really gave a chance because the beginning and tutorial was so off putting. After all the praise its getting i'd be inclined to give the game another go, but i cant be bothered to start the PS3 again. Sega pls.
