Dunno if it has been shared yet but VG247 posted an article today saying that

So... just a rumor from nowhere based on another rumor that came out of nowhere but hey, just wanted to let you know.

This is not News, it has been circulating
For over a Week, and Sean Murray himself debunked. People talked a bunch about it here. Vg247 is not on a good streak tbh

Heck, why not :). If you can put me on the Hype Train, I would greatly appreciate it :D.

I'm glad I was able to ride atleast one hype train in 2014 :p

it was an amazing ride, but my soul was crushed because PSX was so disappointing

I'm looking at you Worthyedge.

Thanks guys. I too enjoy the fact that there has not been any leaks, but I sure enjoy one or two at times.

It spices things up a bit.

Those two days or so before E3 were just absolutely bonkers. I remember the Game of Throne banners somebody made for TLG, FFVII-R and Shenmue 3, and how people were saying we'd be lucky if we even had one of those games announced.

Yeah I know that this rumor has been circulating for over a week but VG247 is claiming that it's their own source that may be correlating the other rumor.

So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't believe that. I'm fairly convinced they're holding NMS for the PS:VR launch.
That would be awesome!

You sure they didn't mistake No Man's Sky for something else? ;)

That is just speculation at the moment. Adding trophy support and HD rendering to old classics would make them closer to ports than to emulated games.
Sony would include the basic emulator in the dev kit and each publisher would need to port the game, tweak the code and adjust settings to make it work properly on the emulator with a decent frame rate, add trophy support and republish the game. That also means starting from zero with the list of available titles.
So a really different concept compared to the idea of an emulator where you use the old code as it was and the emulator does all by itself.

For now about the Star Wars PS2 games I'd stick with the official line, they are PS4 ports with HD graphics and trophy support.

The open source PS2 emulator doesn't need to fiddle with the original game code to run PS2 games in HD. There's also emulators that can award achievements by watching memory values, and Sony's even patented a method of doing something similar. Do you think the Arcade Archives, Sega Genesis Collections, or even the bundled Super Star Wars went back to the source code to add trophies? They're just ROMs running in an emulator, the emulator awards the trophies. There's no reason for the PS2 games to be special in that regard.

The source you quoted doesn't even call them ports. They're just classic titles playable on PS4 now.

Indeed. It was kinda surreal to see those three games announced (re-announced in the case of TLG) in one single show.

I heard that, after E3, the ESA listed the crow as an endangered specie.

I feel like if they add in backwards compatibility psnow will take a hit. Potentially make psnow a general rental service? So add in ps4 games once they've reached a certain age?

Again, what does adding PS Classics to PS4 have to do with a PS3 Streaming Service that's available on multiple platforms,TV's and phones?

It will cause no damage to the service.

My biggest hope for this conference is that Sony will announce a new and improved controller or that they've overhauled the build quality of the regular model.

Ugh...I'm gonna need to take the day off of work to catch this or find a place to hide at work for a few hours so I can watch this on my cellphone.

I can just use the Twitch app instead of the events one right? Never had a good experience with the events app.

The Events talked about in here is the new Events section next to Friends.

I think you're talking about the US only Live Events Viewer app.

But yes, in the new Twitch app you can watch any Twitch content.

YouTube's been solid for event streaming all year for me.

Damn all of you guys. Youtube works great for me when I watch League of Legends esports stuff. But my E3 stream just kept stuttering like crazy. Which sucks because it had Geoff and far better quality then the Twitch stream. =(
