How was Skyrim on PC when it released? Any issues?
I don't recall any issues.

Much was sacrificed for groundbreaking open world complexity.
btw yeah you two were right about my shitty attitude last night, I got more than a bit overzealous there, and I'll be dialing it back so these next couple days don't spiral into yet more pointless arguments and yet more grief-slinging from myself.

Keep in mind he has flashlight on, that seems to really fuck with lightning and shadows. With that I mean it washed them away for some reason.

This is a bit off topic, but I just wanted to crosspost (from the spoiler thread) that if you use a VPN to NZ, the PC game will be unlockable on Steam 13.00 november 9th in western Europe, or 7.00 november 9th in the US.

That still looks real weird. They're using a deferred renderer, dynamic shadow casting lights shouldn't be that big an issue. There is next to no AO either.
If this was a non-shadow casting area light then I could believe that.
Is this console footage?
I hope this is just one of those texture loading issue.
..or at least will be included in day 1 patch.

I asked this yesterday or so, but are there any more words on PC performance??
GMG is playing games with us. COD Black Ops, Battlefront, Syndicate and others are 30% off. Why no Fallout 4?

Am I missing something?
Anyway, that PC streamer hasn't revealed his graphics settings yet, right?
That's kinda fishy of him, tbh. What if he's actually playing on low just for troll.

Lol, good lord. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.
I think he said it was Ultra
He can't without closing the game and running launcher, there is no in-game options menu for graphics. He has shown Audio and UI/HUD options several times.

How does this game hold up to GTAV graphics wise?
Same? Worse? Better? I can't really tell. Everything I've seen on console, GTAV on new gen systems seems to blow it out of the water.
These are ultra settings. It's obvious based on shadow draw distance and the screen space reflections. Some textures look legitimately good on various "hero assets" so I don't think he's trolling.
Game isn't consistent in its graphical fidelity. At some places it looks great, then go into building and you get mediocre stuff. Just wait and go to basement, now we are looking at some horrendous shit. Back out from backdoor and across the street, again great visuals.
There is no consistency, imo.
Yeah I know. But there are so few dynamic lights in this game that most scenes end up looking this when there is lighting
and like this when there is no lighting whatsoever
Basically the game is only pleasant to look at when you are outside and observing objects from a distance of 20-30 meters away.
Everything looks really good now? Wtf?
I'll keep reiterating that their PBR pipeline is simply awful. There is no consistency in the material interaction with light, the thing PBR is designed to achieve. It is real weird.
Like I said, game has no graphical consistency. One place looks stunning and another looks utter shait with no lightning of any kind.

It says Midnight EST for all North America.... but for Western NA it says 9PM EST....
I'll admit, this is nitpicky/OCD as fuck considering things would function the same regardless but the whole UI is just the console one but with PC icons and no regard for the fact that the buttons are laid out differently on KB+M than the visual representation of the inputs in the interface (crosses instead of bars, etc). Crosses and circles are good for consoles because that's how the buttons are laid out and how the sticks move, similar to how bars, grids and lists work well for keyboard and mouse. I mean, with a mouse pointer, you can move and select things in any shape and direction but all they did was change the icons and kept the controller face button layout. Sorry, I'm just weird about user interfaces and their visual representations and interactions behaviours with input devices. I'd get equally OCD about using UIs built for keyboard and mouse with a controller. The Pipboy menus seem to be fine though.
Fortunately, mods!
