Thinking about Ayesha Plus, even though I own Totori Plus and Roronoa Plus and still have yet to play either of those.

Nice prices and selection but I already have most of the stuff here. Kiwami PS4 needs to drop more before I consider it.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round – $20.00
Toukiden Kiwami – $30.00

How good are these two? Is it worth downloading when I only have 50GB/month bandwidth limit? Or should I just wait for a bargain bin sale at my local EB Games.

This is the cheapest I've ever seen the DOA5+ and DOA Paradise bundle, I might bite.

Toukiden Kiwami for $20 is also tempting. EDIT: Just saw that the PS4 version is $30 and that's the one I'd want to get, so it's less tempting now.

*Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is decent. Runs at a mostly solid 30FPS although I did feel some input lag at times. I would say that it's mostly playable, but there's some truly awful touch screen and gyro stuff shoved in there and I don't think it can be turned off. Makes using the bow a pain in the ass.

NGS2 Plus is the only way to play the game on a PlayStation system with the blood and gore intact, however the framerate kills it :/

DOA5 LR is Great, it has an active online and offline scene and it still looks gorgeous even though it's a last-gen port (they added a few things to make it a little better too). It's easy to get into with a very good tutorial and combo challenge mode. Go check out the OT if you'd like. :)

Yeah, DOA5LR is great. Especially on PS4. PS3 version is missing some content.

*I'm a casual fighting game fan so keep that in mind. I really like playing it solo and also playing friendly matches in lobbies.

DOA5LR is a solid fighting game with a great variety of characters. Dead or Alive series allows DOA for characters to counter or reverse strikes (Not all) if the appropriate direction is pressed with the block button. This makes it so cheesing certain moves can be countered by experienced players and will be met with punishment. Great game with lots of different styles of fighting and you are sure to find a favorite character in this series.

Toukiden Kiwami - is a Japanese demon/monster hunting game in which you play a Slayer and can select up to three other party members or play with three other players on PSN. You can choose to wield weapons like :Sword, knives, spear, gauntlets, chain & sickle, bow, club , naginata and rifle. By hunting down Japanese Oni you can get special mitama (souls) of lost heroes from history that provide buffs for your character. There are 300+ Mitamas and also various weapons and armors to craft. I enjoy this game because even if you play it alone the AI will actually help you out a lot and maybe at times outperform some of your friends :p.

Just a reminder:

Everyone should buy Ar nosurge

I played back in the PS3 when it released and it has one beautiful OST and story,

Been waiting for what seems like forever for Ayesha Plus to go on sale.

Just to confirm: this doesn't require playing through the Arland trilogy to play, right?

bad gameplay lol
Hm, thinking about Toukiden Kiwami even though I have vanilla sitting here and honestly didn't play too much of it. Leaning towards not getting it since it's 3.2GB and my memory card is full. But...hm. Is it better to finish vanilla first, or jump into Kiwami ASAP? The new weapon types do look pretty fun.

Kiwami is better than vanilla in every way, think of it like monster hunter tri to 3g except with story, more mintamas, and an okay online userbase (make sure to not seclude yourself to your region, there is a setting to see ALL) You could jump in where your at and use the new weapons. Game is a blast.

Each game has its own story so honestly it doesn't require you to play any of the previous series. However if you are interested in the Arland series you can find the trilogy for (PS3)

http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/games/arland-atelier-trilogy/125436

Ayesha is the start of the Dusk series and honestly you can jump into any of the games regardless of series :).

Does costume sets. :E
Why can't they make one ultimate set, instead of having so many sets.

Correct. New trilogy, NEW RULES.

Unsure if I want Ar Nosurge Vita as I have the PS3 version on my shelf. Also I still need to finish Ar Tonelico 1 and play 2/Qoga, as those are also on my shelf. Or maybe I should stop buying them because clearly I'm not going to get through the series anytime soon oh god.

I got the Ninja Gaiden bundle since I'm a sucker for NG. My god the framerate on Sigma Plus 2. So bad.

I played and beat both Ninja Gaidens on the Vita and loved both. I honestly didn't notice any major slowdowns that hurt gameplay. Then again, slowdown has never bothered me.

I thought Nightmare Princess was discounted for the Vita as well. Was planning to buy it.

Anyway, now's the perfect time to jump in Ar no Surge for Vita. I was planning to get it months ago but with this sale coming up, I have no excuses anymore. How is the performance on Vita?

By the way, how is Ayesha Plus? I've played the Arland trilogy already so I know the basics. I've read some impressions which are a bit negative so I'm having trouble deciding. Should I skip it and wait for Escha and Logy Plus next year?

Arnosurge Plus: performance is worse than the PS3 version, but it's still playable.

Ayesha Plus: it's the first game of the Dusk trilogy, don't skip it in favor of Escha & Logy Plus.

How worse is worse then? It is worse than the stuttering in Atelier Totori Plus in some cases? I think that was the worst performing game I played though I'm not really sure.

About Ayesha Plus, maybe I'll go revisit the OT to check some info. Thanks!

Honestly vanilla SW4 isn't super worth playing now that 4-II is out. Especially not for that price.

I haven't played 4-II yet, but isn't the campaign in 4 much better? At least from the "telling" history prespective. Or is it pretty much the same just more complete? (I'm also partial since Sanada Yukimura is my favorite japanese historical figure lol)

Yeah, I mean, I suppose it's better from that perspective. But personally, I've never gone to the SW games for the story. There are much better retellings of the Sengoku era out there if that's what you're looking for. Gameplay-wise, 4-II is way, way better.

Thank you. Will pick up.

I recommend NOT to get the trilogy pack as it has vanilla Rorona and not the Plus version (which is a remake and improves on every aspect).

Grab Rorona Plus on sale and then you can buy Totori and Meruru separately.

Ayesha is an excellent game, and definitely my favorite of the ones I've played so far. Granted, I haven't had a chance to play the consecutive Dusk games.

And hurray for Ar nosurge Plus being on sale, I've been debating that one!

How is the game itself? Particularly the gameplay and story.

The gameplay tends to drag itself and get repetitive towards the end.
The pacing also could be better. You can spend hours on battle and then hours just watching cutscenes and dialogue.

The story ? Probably one of the best I have seen recently.

The game is a follow up to Ciel nosurge (read here: http://www.unit03.net/view/Ciel_nosurge/Summary) that wasn't localized and probably never will be. Even as it own thing, it stands as a good story with pretty interesting characters.

Other people can explain this better than me, but let's say that this is a game that pulls you in into this world and makes you care about the characters and what's happening.

EDIT:

Read above. Do it.

Yeah, Ar nosurge (plus too) is a steal at $20. Played the Vita version earlier this year. Tons of content and it's obvious that a lot of love went into the game's development. Just make sure you read the summary of Ciel first.
