What if the DIrect just focus on Xenoblade X, Metroid FF, Star Fox etc games we all know? since the Direct announcement says "Catch a new Nintendo Direct on Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. PT for UPDATES on UPCOMING Wii U and Nintendo 3DS releases." maybe no new games whatsoever

Every Direct ever has had surprise announcements. I wouldn't take the tagline as gospel. Plus, updates is a general term. I wouldn't read too much into it. Here's an update on "upcoming Wii U and 3DS releases" can mean an update on the general topic, including new news.
I just got out of a stats exam. I don't want to see any more probabilities for another hour at minimum.

For MH4 localisation was announced in January so if history repeats itself today may be a little early for global MHX news.
This is the truest description about it I've seen in gaf.. and I don't even live in US
MH4U localization was announced the day after it was announced in Japan.
