EDIT: Wrong thread
Kids today only like their Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe, haven't you heard?Did he actually say "poor original score" LOL
you realize you don't have any proof behind that, right?
you realize you don't have any proof behind that, right? i don't know why you think what you think is true, but there's a reason the game got really good impressions at every trade show it was at, still had hugely positive wom after both the closed alpha and the open beta, and ended up at the same metascore as fallout 4:
Have they talked about what the long-term DLC plan for this game is? Seems like it's ripe for add-on content and I don't want to drop $60 for this and end up paying double that just to play all of the content.
The lack of content will easily get fixed, just buy the overpriced season pass, voilà.
Devs still releasing maps as paid dlc in this day and age is laughable.
On our planet and it timeline, its quite a common thing. Its sad, but certainly not laughable

Reminder to anyone interested in the PC version that you can get it for 40 dollars via mexican origin.
DICE just release a FREE map for BF4 a few weeks ago and a second huge conquest remake from BF2 is coming soon after witch also includes the best DM map from BF3 noshahr canals nether you need to be own the season pass to play...... so people its ok to get off your soapbox now
It also made that decision halfway through the game's lifespan, and partly as a program that was designed to make amends for the horrible, horrible launch.
Two years after launch, and during most of those two years they only released content in the $50 season pass, or if you wanted to buy the expansions separately. They're still doing paid DLC for battlefront. Maybe they'll eventually release stuff for free, and we do know that we're getting at least they one map for free later in December, but it doesn't change the fact that Battlefront will receive the bulk of its post launch content in the form of paid DLCDICE just release a FREE map for BF4 a few weeks ago and a second huge conquest remake from BF2 is coming soon after witch also includes the best DM map from BF3 noshahr canals, nether you need to own the season pass to play...... so people its ok to get off your soapbox now

Yes.from my understanding DICE was not allowed to make a story campaign due to Disney taking over, remember all the old games use to be part of the EU cannon and now they are all bunk and if anything is going to 'fill in the gaps' its going to be Disney they have 6 star wars movies coming out over the next 6 years... you think they would allow a video game to tell the story of what happen in the 30 years from jedi to ep7? they will milk every penny out of that
Neither do you. Presuming to speak for 'most' isn't really something you can 'prove' in any real way, most certainly not with metacritic of all things.

Well, the Season Pass was announced the other week and costs $50, but they haven't given details on the content yet.
I thought they said it included
20 new pieces of galactic tech including weapons, vehicles, and Star Cards for both Rebels and Imperials
Four more heroes and villains for you to fight as or against
16 additional multiplayer maps featuring new locations
Four new game modes
Two-week early access to each expansion pack
Exclusive Shoot First emote
Soo why are tie fighters garbage? no matter which on i pick, the interceptor or the tie fighter they seem like they are paper. die in less than a second of being shot every time lol..
where as the a wing & x wing seem to have much more health, on top of having defense buff as an ability. while the imperial ships simply have a speed boost on both variants which doesnt save you at all once someone starts tailing you and auto locking their shots on you..
I lose so much as imperial and it feels like both of their ships are paper thin weaker versions than the rebel ships :/

Thanks for the reply. I don't usually get hung up about this sort of thing, but the high price point (over $100 for everything day one) makes it tempting to wait for the inevitable GOTY version that will include everything. I mean, is there any reason to think that something like this won't pop up a year from now?
I picked up Titanfall day one on 360 only to buy it on X1 with all past and future DLC included for $10 on Black Friday later that same year. Sort of made me think about what the hell I was doing.
Not a review of the game but one guy's reasoning for not buying Battlefront.

In many ways, Battlefront finds itself an unlikely comparison in Splatoon.
Like Splatoon, Im finding the multiplayer compelling enough to keep going back, but unlike Nintendos squid-themed shooter, were going to have to pay for any increased longevity. Its like Electronic Arts adopted Nintendos game-as-service model but made us pay for it where Nintendo didnt. With these expansions being so potentially crucial, its not unfair to suggest that the real MSRP of Battlefront is $110, rather than $60.
Except we dont even know if the other half of the game will even be worth that much money.
Ultimately, the best rewards in Battlefront are the emotional ones: the thrill of weaving a speeder bike through the trees on Endor, seeing the twin suns of Tatooine, or watching Imperial walkers stomp across the Hoth snowfield. The addition of extra modes, weapons, heroes, and maps might improve the core shooter experience and give it some much-needed depth, but when it costs as much as the base game to get them, you have to question whether you’re willing to spend £100 to find out.
