Gametrailers Thread: Good Night and Good Game

That Final Bosman episode was fantastic. Who was doing the stand-in for Kyle, while he played his son? Huber?

Anyway, on to watch the GT Awards now and I'm bummed that the sound is out of sync.

? Shouldn't be. Where are you watching? Could be a browser or plug-in issue.

I'm watching the video on YouTube from the YouTube app on the PS4. The other videos were fine. It's the GT Live video, not the smaller ones. The sound is just a little bit out of sync.

E: it's fine on the iPad.
E2: Super weird. It's actually the GT Live videos on PS4. I even tried to close and open the app again.

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
I could listen to Don talk about his Mexican buffet adventures for hours.

Bloodworth and THE EVENT.

BosTrunks.

A fine set of GT days. Best in da biz.

I shared the doubt for Ian's video, but Don's video and Final Bosman were excellent, excellent stuff.

EDIT: Magnificent hardcut on the stream tonight.

GT review for Tales from the Borderlands was spot on altho i would give it a much higher score for the writing alone. glad they did one for the whole series instead of individual eps.

Oh my God. I miss Elyse, but the title alone makes me love the Hinck era of Mandatory Update.

Yes the God part was on purpose

I was really bummed out when Elyse left, but I really like the new intro and style, so I got over Elyse just as quick. That proves just once more that we're all worthless human garbage that can be replaced whenever by soulless monsters.

Happy Holidays, everyone.

Well, he's sung in several bands. Wouldn't have done that with a shit voice.

Gotta say though, not many people can replicate Freddie Mercury and he didn't do bad.

Was I the only one not really impressed by his voice?

To be honest, I don't go to GT for music performances and due to that I don't rate their content on the quality of such. Any half-decent singing is just a bonus. It was just a bit of fun, we don't need to go XFactor on it like some people did for the Bloodborne thread.

These videos GT have been putting out toward the end of the year are awesome. Final Bosman, Huber Hype, ManUps, GT Time, Live, Personal Picks, and their streams were all thoroughly entertaining.

Bravo GT. Ending the year on a high note.

Oh, and Merry Christmas!

What is the Omar story?

His mom harassed a retail dude into giving her a SNES in exchange for their old cleaned up NES because she "accidentally bought the wrong one", which was obviously a lie. But the dude complied because she went ballistic on him.

Christmas stories rank 1 because that's the Christmas spirit!

Not to mention he says it wasn't even Christmas. Just a story about him and his Mum stealing a SNES by bullying/harassing some poor retail employee.

I'm sure he's aware of the dubious morality of the action, but it can still be a fond memory through the eyes of a kid, especially if it was a poor household.

Not a great thing to do but it's still a pretty great story.

The whole video up to number 1 is really heartwarming and I think the Omar story is just GT pulling the rug from under our feet at the last moment. For me it totally worked, I was laughing at how very unChristmassy it was.

Omar's mom is pretty legendary, but that wasn't a cool thing to do. Should've had Ben's story be #1 to end it on a Christmas miracle type note. But that's pretty bad ass of Omar's mom, even if she did bully the guy into it. We don't know what their situation was like.

Watched ManUps late last night and it was a nice way to celebrate Christmas eve. Loved how Kyle knew that falsetto would get a high rank from his QA days. Pure cheese haha.

From clicking the links to the people who liked the post it seems there's a really passionate GT community on Tumblr.
Skimming through those 9000 words makes me feel like a petty fan in comparison.

The Youtube comments on the Top 10 Best Gifts video are ridiculous. People are taking Omar's story so seriously, calling her a bitch, saying they never want to see Omar in a video again, saying GT should be ashamed of themselves.

Well let me say right now, that story is hilarious and it deserved to be #1.

After reading comments for Top 10s and the threads that come up every week, I am not surprised. Those folks are BRUTAL on a weekly basis.

Those comments are extreme... But fraud being number 1 was weird as hell.

It's not a story you can put in the middle of a list, for better or worse.
It's a shocker, and has to be the last entry in the video.
Maybe Omar could've underlined how antithetical it was in context, to make the punchline nature of it work better, but I guess that's not really how he personally absorbed the story.

Personally I found it funny because it was in such contrast and although it's obviously a wrong thing to do, I don't think it's that big of a deal especially, as I said, if they lived in a poor household (assuming, otherwise they could've just bought the thing).
