Excellent news.

As a side note, if this indeed coming to the Windows Store, it'll be the first win32 application on there. Pretty interesting.

also looks like its releasing at full price

The PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available as a digital download via Steam®, the Windows Store, Amazon™, the Square Enix e-store and other major retailers – both in-store and online. Standard edition pricing is $59.99.
god damn

I'm liking this push for the Windows 10 store with things like this and Killer Instinct. Steam is all well and good but quite honestly having the client built into the operating system is even better. Here's to more big titles on the Windows 10 store!

hmmm, I dont think I want to give square full price after the debacle, but I do want to play it. Wait for steam sale and play the massive backlog? Hmmmmm

Nixxes is nice, should perfectly support eyefinity like tomb raider 2013, which was gorgeous.

Don't let some shitty deal made by the suits affect your purchase, man. The game is fucking amazing. Go for it.

The only worry would be when Microsoft shifts strategy and leaves the program behind. Will it be well supported on Windows 13?

We have significant prior precedent for Microsoft quickly shifting strategy when it proves to be unprofitable, which leaves many systems completely abandoned and useless.

Software added numerous features, including Windows 10 support and 4K resolution.

I hoped for DX12 as their big Windows 10 improvement, but they do not mention it once. As it seems their Windows 10 feature is: It's available on the windows store....

Meh, I'm a bit disappointed.

Is that surprising ? The game is not old.
Worth it if it's a high quality port, if it's barebone (zero visual improvements) then I will have no problem buying for as cheap as I legally and morally can.
