Their own platform, Dive-In, shut down, yes, but you can still play them via G-Cluster, which is another company that does the same as SE did with Dive-In, except they don't have a centralised platform, rather, they offer things on a per-game basis. FFVII was actually playable via G-Cluster before the iOS port got announced, but it was available only in Japan. This same service is used to provide ports to smart TVs and other devices.
Still, with the state of mobile phone specs, XIII should be playable natively soon enough.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it isn't, bruh.
In the long term of course it will be. Pc is immortal. But at the same point in time I'd rather not wait and get spoiled, for months / years, when I can play right away as they come out.

are those borders along the sides of the screenshots part of the game as well?
3, 4, After Years, 5, 6, 13, 13-2, Lightning Returns and Type-0 have trading cards.
7 and 8 don't because when they released those on Steam they weren't incorporating trading cards in their games yet.

Her hair should be cut by this part of the game, I think that's what he is pointing out.
I can't really comment on that game, all I know is that it shipped 1 million WW. I guess XB1 is getting FFXV due to MS securing a deal with SE?

I noticed that too, but we've seen her with the short hair in parts of the trailer, so I assumed that was just a mistake they made while creating screenshots during development.
But... DID they get rid of the thong?

FFXV and KH3 were both announced for PS4/XB1 before either console released. SE put them on both to cover all their bases since no one expected the PS4 to dominate the way it has. After the PS4 took off so well (and FF Type-0 selling poorly on Xbox One) SE just focused on PS4 but aren't cancelling XV and KH3 for Xbox One since that would be a shitty thing to do (although I still see KH3 on XB1 being cancelled because that is really going to sell bad there).

We know at least that in the UK the split was
PS4 (78%) XBO (22%), and that is the second stongest market for xbox worldwide. I don't think there was a deal, the game was announced for both consoles when it wasn't clear how the generation would play out, and is a big enough game that should be reasonably profitable to bring over to xbox.

Yeah, at this point, unless it's already announced and coming soon/concurrent with console releases, I'll play the game on my console first, and on PC later if it comes.
But at least the more we buy these ports, the more likely we are to get them sooner, better, etc.

The FMVs were created in higher definition in 2000 and compressed significantly to fit on the PS1 disc. In this release, it's all uncompressed. And high definition videos take up a lot of space. I'm guessing 19/20 GB is just the cinematics.

That's probably not true but whatever. FFIX is game of charm, a decent combat and a story that actually makes sense for the most part, definitely pick it up if you are a bit interested.
Yeah. Hopefully a mod comes in and edits the title to reflect that.
That part worries me a little as well. I'm concerned that they could have decided to save time by doing one set of UI elements for both versions.

I can't seem to find them now, but there were menu screenshots from Famitsu in the other thread.....
It's basically IX's menu, but in hi-res, with hi-res art. The look and feel are the same and it should operate mostly the same.

Well, they didn't screw up VII. But that didn't have a simultaneous mobile/PC release. Great, now I'm worried.
There is no good central place as far as I know. Your best bet is to follow GAF's sales threads and ask some sales age experts around.

It's where you fight the Earth Guardian. For some reason they've just put the first four characters into different locations. The other screenshot in the thread (with Garnet in Trance) has her
with long hair when at that point of the game she should have shorter hair.
They probably did absolutely nothing to get the FMV sizes lower or use any other video compression technologies that are used today. They probably found the original gigantic videos from 2001 and just threw them in there. This is SE we are talking about here.

Will they change it so that trance doesn't automatically activate?
I mean, he could also have bought the game and play it legally using an emulator years ago, but I'm not looking to get into a debate... just pointing out the obvious.
