Two weeks in and 2016 is still being bossed by ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops III’ (-24%) which holds on to No1 for what is now six weeks in succession – the longest unbroken run in the All Formats Chart since ‘FIFA 15’ also managed six weeks in 2014.

‘FIFA 16’ (-45%) slips one place to No3, replaced in second spot by ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (-16%), which jumps up two places to its highest position since W34 last year. ‘Star Wars Battlefront’ (-45%) drops one place to No4, staying ahead of ‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Siege’ (-24%) which sneaks up one place to No5. With no new titles out this week, familiar games jostle for position within the Top 10. ‘Just Cause 3’ (-24%) climbs two places to No6, while ‘WWE 2K16’ (-30%) is a non-mover at No7. ‘Fallout 4’ (-65%) drops out of the Top 5 for the first time, falling from No5 to No8, while ‘Lego Jurassic World’ (-21%) and ‘Minecraft: Xbox Edition’ (-17%) both find themselves back in the Top 10, up to No’s 9 and 10 respectively. ‘Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate’ ( -72%) is not so lucky, crashing out of the Top 10 from No9 to No24.

Not really, the first chart of the year saw a rise as prices dropped to £30 and below and now that effect is wearing off, it's dropping sales like most games do. Bethesda will be happy it's not done it as hard as Ass Creed.

Fallout does not have the legs Skyrim had.

Well technically you're not wrong. The legs are drying up quicker, but that could be an effect of more of the audience buying it earlier. I did honestly expect Skyrim to have much longer term sales just with the performance of other games since the start of this generation. I wasn't even expecting a million in the UK before we stopped seeing data.

That and there are fewer consoles to sell to. Ps3/360 had 6 years worth of console sales when Skyrim came out compared to 2 years of PS4/One for Fallout.

The issue for Lara Croft in PAL is surely one of demographics: that is majority of people who bought reboot and want TR games are on PlayStation or PC.

It's not that Xbox owners are snubbing it so much as demographically the percentage of Xbox owners interested in it is rather low vs platforms the game is not yet available on.

The other issue is no one sees it as exclusive and general perception is the PC and PS4 version will be superior so why not wait? It's SP only, there's no MP community or peak to miss so there's no harm waiting for better versions.

Yup that didn't help. Also with first game being multiplatform mass market would easily miss message Rise was "exclusive" and just assume it would be on PS4 and PC at some point.

It was a useless deal basically particularly for PAL territories. It assumed people would swap preferences for access which its already too late in the gen for. In PAL majority of owners of reboot were already on PS/PC killing any real chance of success.
