Best mouse for PC gaming?

Debating whether or not I should buy a Logitech G502 or a Corsair Vengeance M65. I really don't know much about mice, so any input would be really helpful. I personally am not that big of a fan of how the 502 looks, but people here seem to love it, and I don't know how Corsair mice are. Help please?

Was using a Razer Naga Hex before which was alright, but now I'm using the Red Dragon M901 Perdition and I absolutely love it.

Probably going to come down to personal preference for feel. Have no experience with Corsair mice but have a Logitech G500 and it feels/works great. I will probably stick with logitech in the future.

When mouse shopping I'd tried both out among others. Personally I think the G502 felt better not only when gripping, but with the buttons as well. I wound up going with the G502.

The G502 is touted as one of the best out right and I can totally agree with that. Honestly, I dont myself changing mouse any time soon. The feel of it and build quality is awesome. The grip on the sides and optional weights is great.

As for the optical sensor, everything has been on point as it should be. No weird lags or stutters.
Among the best of sensors. Straight raw, no acceleration like laser mices tend to have.

As for the look, I too wasn't a fan of it in pictures, but that changed once I got it. The lights are all customizable too so if you want them off, that is an option.

To note, Logitech also has great warranty for the time I dealt with them.

I've had mine for 7 years. Used almost every day. I've no idea what I'll do when it dies :/

Thanks guys! Just bought a 502 through Prime Now. Since I was a first time user of the service I got my mouse for 38. Nice.

Got my 502 in. Thanks Prime Now!

Honestly, it's a whole lot less ugly than the pictures make it seem. It seems like a very nice mouse. :)

Bit of a bump after getting mine. The scroll wheel seems super sensitive, but I don't see a way to turn down the sensitivity in the driver. Am I blind? Is there a way to do that?

EDIT. NEVER MIND. FIGURED OUT WHAT THAT WEIRD BUTTON WAS FOR. THAT'S AWESOME.

Hahaha I did the same thing!

G502. New optical sensor is so freaking good, esp after tuning to surface.

G500, G5, etc, don't really hold a candle...after using the G502 I don't even want to use anything else for web browsing.

I use the Steel Series Sensei Wireless. It's considered to be the best wireless gaming mouse. There is zero input lag and it blows away my previous mouse which was the Razor Mamba 4G Piece of Shit Edition. The build quality is exceptional and it can be used left or right handed.

I am still using a CM Storm Spawn, and I love the feel of this little guy. It is so comfy. Before this I had a CM Storm Xornet, but the mouse wheel broke on that :(

I prefer heavy mice, so if anyone else likes them, I strongly recommend the Logitech G502. No other heavy mouse comes close.

Using a corsiar m45 for almost a year now and really like it so far. I cannot for the life of me stand a mouse with dozens of buttons on it. The m45 has a minimal amount of buttons and performs great.

I'm rocking a Logitech G400s. Serves me well. Only gripe is that the cord can be better quality, but the sensor and layout are great!

I'm still using the SteelSeries Diablo III Mouse that came out right before vanilla Diablo III. I love that mouse so much.

I went from mx518 to a deathadder 2013 a couple years ago. This thread makes me miss my mx518. I may have to buy a g502s on a rainy day.

I find the deathadder is a little narrow for my comfort needs.

That's the mouse I use, great performance/battery life and I can tell no difference between the wired and wireless modes.

My Deathadder 3.5G just died after 5 years. But it had issues whith the wheel scroll shortly after running out of warranty and it was a replacement for an original Deathadder that developed double click right before warranty expiring. So far Razer support have been awful and useless, and having both mices failing on the same time bracket doesn't help. I love the ergonomics and the looks once I turn off the Razer logo led, so the natural successor would be Chroma. But I have been reading a lot of praise for the G502 and it looks like offers more for the prize. But both ergonomics and looks are terrible on my eyes, since I hate the gamer looking stuff. I also had good feedback from Logitech support in the past.

It's like the decission should be taken, but I really love the Deathadder.

I love my Logitech G600. It's definitely helps in games like World of Warcraft, Dota 2, and else that has a lot of buttons or when necessary to be quick/responsive.

Upgraded to a G602 from a beloved G500 and I'M very happy. Same feel, responsiveness but with more buttons and wireless. I never liked wireless mouses before but love this one as the batteries last forever. This thing can last a month without charging or putting in fresh batteries. Those looking for a upgrade from the G500 will be very happy.

CM Storm Spawn here too- bought it on recommendation of the PC thread and I've been loving it for a couple years now. Don't think I can go back to a full palm mouse even for non-gaming.

I have the Logitech G400 and G502, the 502 obviously being the newer one.

You really can't go wrong with Logitech mice from my experience. It's too bad the mice for gaming LOOK like gaming mice now though, I think the 502 looks great but I understand it's not for everyone. I actually gifted the G400 to my dad for office work because he wanted a wired mouse and it looks like just a basic old office mouse. If you can get your hands on a G400 by all means go for it, but as far as I know they're not really that easy to find new.

I had a Razer Naga at one point too but I wasn't really a fan, I dunno how the other ones are though.

I really like SteelSeries mice because they mix aesthetics and performance perfectly IMO. I own the Sensei RAW:

Simple, sleek, ergonomic, great sensor, perfect amount of buttons, and looks great on my desk.

I keep hearing great things about the Logitech G502 but it's so ugly and gawdy and gamer-y that I just would never want it on my desk:

That's just my preference though. To each their own!

My Logitech G602 mouse developed the notorious double clicking problem.

What a piece of shit.

Don't fall into the "gaming" branding that marketing throws around these days.

My g9x has the dreaded double-click issue, I'd love to fix it.

All other mice make my hand to ache because of the high arch they have :/

Correct Answer:

Any Optical mouse made within the last 2-3 years is going to be amazing for 99.9% of gamers.

Avoid Laser mice like the plague.

After that, it's entirely a subjective choice of what works best for you in size, weight, and shape.

Currently using a logitech G700s (for maximum comfy couch and maximum nosferatu).

So far the build quality has been great and I only hope it lasts long and does not have the problem of the death adders I have used in the past: namely, my strange claw grip on the mouse tends to bust the left click function. I tend to push down on the section of the left click that is in the middle... next to the scroll wheel.
