Some chapters during the ant saga are basically scribbles on the page, which means the dude just wanted to draw it himself
Takeuchi drawing it would be funny, but I guess it would be the most "personal" way to continue. Dunno if she wants to do that tho

I agree with you there, more so how they tend to want to do every little bit of work themselves even if it causes them to get sick or ill.
He is married to the creator of Sailor Moon. He doesn't have to work another day in his life if he really wanted to.

It's funny because this was supposed to be the 'new' Dragonball Z.
Now, 20 years later Dragonball is back and the new series will probably finish before HxH does.

Anime will only continue if there enough material to warrant it, and even with the new stuff when he came back like 2 years ago would be like 3 episodes.
basically have your expectations at the bottom of the barrel in terms of HxH getting constant releases.
Hell even when he said he wanted to create new stuff anime it was just enough stuff to finish the currant arc.
If you get more than 3 be happy.

It is no secret that she was an assistant to Togashi after Sailor Moon, which is how they met I think. It seems she did screentone duties in HxH for a short while. Which is crazy times that she needed to work like that?
Dunno if she really has actually drawn HxH at any point; the manga has been so badly drawn at times, that it is obvious it was done by a dude in stress and sickness.

I once speculated with a friend about how there's going to be a new "magic system", on top of Nen. Nen by itself just isn't enough to keep up with these monsters. Netero, the strongest of all, lost to Meruem. And you cannot even expect everybody to become a Nen-master of that level.
Something new is needed, kinda like in One Piece, when they added Haki on top of devil fruits.

Nana continuing would truly be a miracle at this point.
HxH is in such a weird position of it has an incredible setup for the next arc but at the same time the way the anime ended feels really conclusive and fitting in a lot of ways.(despite all the loose plot threads)
Hopefully the art will be better this time round. The last few chapters were like a novel with how much dialogue they had too.
