Good sign, they must be pretty confident in the game to have an Alpha demo.

I know the game was pegged "2016", but is it also the first confirmation it would arrive this year in the west as well?

Hoping it lands July/ August to spread things out a bit, rest of the year is pretty crowded imo.

maybe this is not the best spot to ask but, is this game being confirmed as exclusive ps4 or " exclusive on console " ?

I think at PSX we heard it for the first time

I hope that "Ready to Die?" isn't going to be a marketing tagline because it was a real turn off for me and a lot of other people when DS2 did it. Don't tell players that they're going to suck, please. Not a great way to sell your game.

Whoa....so many weapons! That axe spin!

Spin to win 2.0 lol.

I'm in. I think Nioh looks great, even if it is leaning a little heavily on the Souls influence.

It's not too bad. I think Salt & Sanctuary was way worse. That game was bordering on cease & desist, imo.

Edit: Ok, "Ready to Die?" is a little on the nose. Tbh, I hated that part of Souls marketing.

Always love it when I see an awesome game at reveal, I push it back in my mind then it comes back with an awesome surprise like this.

Looking forward to the demo, Nioh is the Onimusha sequel we'll never have.

It's about time someone other than From Software makes a game with methodical combat. And I do think that there are a lot of little things to combat, like the charged combos, different stances and kill animations, that will make this game feel different enough to a Souls game.

Yo, this looks better each time I see it. Damn. The dude also looks even more like Geralt now with the beard.

Can't wait.

I'm disappointed after all the years this game has been in development
hell
that they decided to turn it into a Souls style game, but I'll give it a try with the demo.

Still not a fan of that black & white effect they put around some monsters. But yeah, this is cool news. Will definitely download and try it out.

That's great. If I had a choice to pick a demo to play for any game coming out this would be one of my top choices, I need to get some hands on time to get a better understanding if this game is for me or not.

It looks like you can do something that causes that effect to go away. You can see it vanish at 1:03 in the trailer. It may be something that's giving the oni additional power.
