omg, just came across an area that reignited the same feeling I had when I arrived at Anor Londo/Yharnam for the first time. Woo Lord, what a SIGHT.

I really love using it, and it's making me consider dumping some points into FTH. But I'm a knight and already put some points into STR. Agh.

Pretty awsome. Invasions is such brilliant concept. Adds a very real feeling of tension

Hahah, that reminds me of when I would invade people in the forest from DS1. Always fun making the host panic.

I don't think anyone found any actual downside to hollowing except for looking aesthetically gross lol.

As for how to proceed, you missed a branching path into another area in one of the previous areas you visited. Wasn't sure how much info you wanted so I'm keeping it super vague on purpose.

Am I supposed to use a sharp gem on the uchi which already has good dex scaling or is it meant for improving stuff with C scaling and whatnot?

So I've been kind of just winging it with my Assassin build lol. I got to lvl 25 last night. Pretty sure I want to focus on a STR build but not really positive if that's the right thing to do with this character. Anyone have any tips or guidance on where to go from here? I don't want to get to far and have to start over because I fucked myself on a shitty build. I've never played a DS game so this is all still really new to me lol..

Axes are awesome. Good combination of speed and poise/stagger damage and efficient stamina usage. There's one you get a bit it that I used the entire game.

I've played every Souls game, but I've never used magic.

I've bought the heal aid spell and the staff from the merchant, equipped the staff and the spell but the heal aid is still darkened out.

How do I use the spell?

Guess you've never used miracles either.

I still haven't settled into the game yet though. Played 4 hours and i kind of feel like i am rushing a little bit. Everything feels a little frantic at the moment and i just need to adjust to the pace of the game and slow myself down. I feel like a hyper dog and not sure what direction to go in whilst trying to pull in all directions at once. Despite beating that area, i am going to go back to LHW and just sort of slowly go through everything. The only door i have unlocked is the cell key with a NPC inside. I noticed a few more around. I can't seem to access the rooftop with the dragon on. I tried bow and arrow from the other rooftop, he turned round and flamed me the ...

Only with weapons that have the Parry skill. There's always the parry dagger, dunno if there are other non-shields that offer parry.

Not even all the shields have parry (not even all the small/medium shields have parry, it is not just a giant shield thing).

lmao, I love the buffed multi-hit attack with the club, but I wish I could parry with the plank shield. I guess it won't be long until I find a parry-able one.

Yup.

First playthrough was Axes and Butcher Knife, but this time I started as a Dex build, but switched immediately to whatever this is once I equipped that Broadsword. Fantastic, well-rounded weapon.

Haha, same here. I was messing around with the Uchi or DW weapons, but damn that Broadsword.

My Vigor is back at 25. Time to start spamming the fuck out of Endurance.
