Hint at Sony Bend's PS4 Game

Well, I guess a Mad Max-ish take on the survival genre hasn't exactly been done, at least at AA or AAA production values.

If this is a game about zombies on bikes in a post-apocalyptic setting, I don't think I could be less interested. Hopefully what I just described isn't wholly accurate.

Love the title and the premise. I hope this is 3rd person and not a piece of fucking shit like Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
Isnt Shinobi a Gaffer? Why wont he post it here himself? Kinda bizarre to see these random hints instead of some actual info. Leaked or not this is just as bad as what thuway used to do... make it seem like he knows more than he actually does.
  1. Shinobi isn't a fake like thuway. He actually has inside knowledge and a proven track record.
  2. Shinobi posted it on Twitter because that's what he felt like doing, I guess. It doesn't really matter.
You just described GAF "insiders". Shinobi wants attention and the OP seems to have gave it to him.
GAF wants info and Shinobi has provided that. This ungratefulness is quite rude, imo.

Shinobi doesn't even like it when people make threads about his tweets. E.g. He leaked that the next God of War would use Norse mythology on Twitter before that thread with the images went up on GAF. Because he doesn't like people making threads about his tweets, this information was confined to the Sony first party studios thread for a bit.

Motorstorm: The Road Warrior

give it to me

An open world vehicular horror game with demons on bikes and shit, tho... that shit would be SUPER FRESH

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like
Introducing Twisted Metal Apocalypse!

A Twisted Metal game based in a post apocalyptic setting would be so awesome.

Sounds interesting.

If it's similar to what I'm imagining after reading that tweet (a post apocalyptic world run by biker or whatever vehicle gangs that doesn't take itself too serious and has a decent amount of humor) then I'm in!

Source confirms the name, but won't say it is Bend. Perhaps a studio name change in the near future? My source is from Italy and gave me a bunch of early Bloodborne stuff so I trust him.

If Sony Bend is making anything like last year's Mad Max game I'm so stoked.

I loved that title and can't wait to see what Sony Bend is up to next. E3 better be it Shu and Rodhe.

Name eerily similar to Red Dead Redemption...

What if it was a Western Post Apoc with Bikes instead of horses and Zombies (or mutants)...

Mad Max x Kiba No Tabishounin The Arms Peddler x The Walking Dead?

Day -1 for me I think.

Went from super-hyped to even the vague potential of 'open world horror' (the mind goes in so many different places) to now very cautious if it could even be the possibility of biker gangs and zombies. :/

Come on, E3.

So now you guys tell me, Bend is making Dead Dont Ride, so who the hell is developing DAYS GONE?

Probably a smaller Sony published game, could be Sucker Punch's though.

Though I don't think Sucker Punch will announce their next game this E3 because I think it's a new IP so they will wait a bit longer (until E3 2017) to reveal it.

less than two months left.

I had a cthulu like open world surival horror game in mind, but that name doesn't imply that at all. Don't ask me why I thought that.

If they're making an open-world game in a post-apocalyptic setting then I think my eyes are going to roll out of my head. That's my fucking kryptonite right there. It's about as safe as you can get in the current AAA market.

Well Sony Bend, out of all Sony studios, kinda need to play it safe for a new IP. Having had a few cancelled Vita games, and not a game since 2012, you really don't wanna see lay offs like Santa Monica? It's the harsh truth regarding AAA games nowadays -- particularly new IP's. The indie scene is where the innovation is happening IMO.

It feels a bit weird Shinobi leaked even the name, he usually doesn't do this kind of thing even when he knows a lot about a game to be revealed.
