Pissed off. Missing basically one trophy for the platinum and its the make everyone dance one. I've finished the game three times and followed guides to make sure ive used the grooviton on every monster and still won't unlock.

And I have no idea what Im missing as the game doesn't tell you and I cba playing it for a fourth time when I dont even know what ive missed. Sigh :(

I assume there's no easy solution to this?

Oh, that's exactly whats happening with me. Got all the cards but it says 97%. Cool, thanks! I'll keep on playing:)

If you press square in the card collection you should see the overall stats screen which will list any missing card collection in ???????????, you might be able to deduce which that one is by looking at a FAQ or something to see where it might drop (I think some are location specific?).

Platinum'd the game last night. I forgot how much I love this series. Honestly it became one of my favorite games in the series.

You sure you are getting all the bosses too?

Got it tonight. It's awesome. Visuals and gameplay are excellent. I only played a crank in time and all 4 one. I am now loving PS4 version. I am thinking to get into the nexus. Suddenly my love for ratchet has increased.

Finished the game last night. Definitely my favorite R&C title to date. Never once got "fatigue" like i did with the PS3 titles.

Finally got platinum, not a moment to soon. I'm sad to say the game really fell flat for me.
Once again lacking some of the charm and I dont know what from the ps2 titles, and its not just nostalgia talking here, loved the hd remakes and even played through UYA earlier this year, its still great fun.

Alot of people touched on similar feeling to me earlier in the thread.
The whole Ratchet and Clank chemistry just basically not being there, they barely interact in the game.
The story in general were just aweful and short. Probably something to do with the movie tie-in.
Felt like a small game in comparison to the old ones.
The Drek and Nefarious collaboration and then back-stab, why was that needed? Totally pointless.

The whole Quark narration thing I actually liked to some extend, but didnt that just disappear in the late game?
Like they didnt have enough time or something to work it into the whole game.

And I just deleted several more lines of rambling nobody probably wanna read...

But to sum it up I feel a bit disappointed, dont know why, but was expecting some sort of back to the classic ps2 era game.
Instead the only hope I have now is that this game sells good enough for a proper sequel without a movie story holding its hand to be made. I suspect my dream of an new good old Ratchet and Clank game probably sailed long ago tho, sadly.

Two weapon questions:

Doesn't the Sheepinator/Goatinator have an Omega form? Can't find it in the store.

There is still a weapon that I don't have and it's not in the store and it's not the Predator Launcher. After some research it could be the Suck Cannon, but does anyone know where to get it?

There is no Suck Cannon. Do you have the RYNO?

Edit: Besides the RYNO, every weapon will be available in the Gadgetron Store by the end of the story.

I was also kinda disappointed with the game. I kept getting the feeling that the game was just around the corner to being great but just kept falling short to end up being simply decent. The problem i have is i can't remember if the original was like this or if its cause of the movie. It needed more bosses, more personal interactions between the heroes, and to meld the adventure together a bit better it felt more like i was doing planet missions just to move the story instead of actually just going through the story and completing missions along the way.

agreed. the game just feels a little...sanitised. stuff like the generic movie score and less adventurous take on the duo's relationship have been mentioned, but it even extends to stuff like the animations of the characters in dialogue scenes. in the original trilogy they were (what I imagine to be) hand animated. here they're all just running on the same stock mouth and body movements. less personality all round. a shame because what they did nail (environment design etc) they well and truly smashed, which just highlights even more the missed potential

it's odd to wax poetic about a PS2 mascot trilogy but those games have truly stood the test of time and then some, which is evidenced by how difficult they have been to top since then.

While the
Insomniac Museum
felt a bit barebones compared to previous entries. I still smiled quite a bit seeing all the nostalgic stuff in there. :')

Finally ordered the game after finding a really nice deal here in the UK (£23 delivered), I'm really looking forward to play it after all the praise

How much time is it neccesary for the Platinum? I don't usually Plat any game, but I might give this one a try since it seems not to be really hard

Where did you find it for £23?

Now THIS is something I can agree on. I can't believe how little they actually talk TO each other just in passing; it's nonexistent and makes it really a bit weird. Minor gripe, really. But when Clank says 'I guess the cold isn't the natural environment for a Lombax' or thereabouts on Batalia and Ratchet replies sarcastically I was like HOLY SHIT CHARACTER INTERACTION and it was nice to see, if only briefly.

U could probably do it in 20hrs. U have to beat it at least twice. Once normal mode, and again in challenge mode.

Use groovitron on everything.
Grind your weapons on bosses by dying on purpose.
Sheepinate a helicopter as soon as u can.

Difficulty doesn't matter.
Come back to the races after u can enable the invincibility cheat for the time trophy. Will save u a lot of grief.

Cheats don't affect trophies.

Thank you mate, it sounds pretty straightforward, I will try it to be my first PS4 Platinum!

Where did you find it for £23?

Rakuten, normal price was £27.85 but after applying a 15% voucher they are offering the final price is £23.50, but I'm afraid it's already sold out :(

Right!

I haven't beaten the game yet, but not only do they rarely speak to each other, Clank feels like he's been completely neutered. They changed his voice direction to be robotic and soulless. I know he's a robot, but he always felt alive in previous games. I don't know what they were thinking.

On top of that, the villains have appeared a grand total of 2-3 minutes tops onscreen so far for me (just reached Qaurtu). You'd think 10 planets in, you'd have a better idea of who exactly the villains were and what the threat actually is.

I'm extremely happy the game plays so well, performs great, and looks fantastic. And I know as a game, story comes secondary. But the previous titles managed to really shine in the character dynamics and chemistry department while maintaining all of the above, so it's sad to see a mainline game (a reboot of all things!) fall short in one of the categories it usually shines in.

Just started this today. Played for a few hours so far and really enjoying it. It's a good game to wind down from Dark Souls III. Needed something to tide me over until Uncharted 4.

Lol. They have plenty of useless/annoying/unneeded "help" and generic battle comment dialogue, but not enough actual meaningful interactions. I agree. The moment in Batalia was nice.

You can get a gadget later that reveals them on the map. Don't stress about getting them too much right now

The gorgeous colors and overall visuals in this game are melting my eyeballs.

Seriously though, this is my very first R&C game and though I am not far, I'm really liking this.

I just beat the game and enjoyed every minute of it. I found it a lot harder to max out your weapons in this game than in some of the previous titles which is making me considering doing a whole other play through.

Also just finished. The gameplay and everything relating to it was fantastic. Visuals, controls, combat system, all good stuff.

The story was shit.
Tons of new characters with no development and an awful villain with a certain someone shoehorned in just because. Ratchet is the biggest Mary Sue in this one, and despite his Lombax heritage (which wasn't a thing in 2002) I still enjoyed how he was a huge underdog who slowly became a hero by UYA and Deadlocked. The bond between the two didn't feel earned at all, and was kinda just there full force from the begginning until the end. Ratchet and Clank felt like cheesy characters playing it safe to appeal to a specific demographic, so hopefully if there is a sequel it won't rely too heavily on a tie-in film.

I could go on, but yeah, not a fan at all of what they've done with the story material and characters.

Finally got my Death by Disco trophy against the final boss on my third playthrough. I definitely used it against him on my second playthrough, so that trophy is prone to glitching.

And I was just about to ask if Clank was normally this boring? One of the most soulless companions I've seen in a game like this.

Started Challenge Mode a few days ago and missed two of the enemies to 'groovify' (for the Platinum) so I restarted the game. It overrode my save so I don't have the mode anymore. I'll have to replay the game to get Challenge Mode once again and all my weapons upgrades etc are reset.

Sucks, man. Still, super game!

Just beat challenge mode and tried to Groovitron everything, no trophy. Are there any easy to miss enemies that I might've forgotten that I can just go back to get?

In my challenge walkthrough I used the Groovitron on every enemy. Maybe you missed some flying enemies? But it is really hard to tell, Insomniac coild have implemented some kind of statistic.

Hope you find the enemies and get the trophy. :)

There are some helicopter enemies you don't see too often in the game. Tanks count toward the Groovitron trophy as well. I ended up making everyone dance, even the NPCs. :p
