Whoops wrong thread
You can just go into the other thread.
I don't know the game for 2 fucking days and it's a completely new game. Just saw the last Trolden video what the fuck is this Yogg shit!!!
But dat Indira Varma...Me every time the Sand Snakes speak
But dat Indira Varma...
I would love to see her as well utilized as she was in Rome.I would love to see her play the game of thrones.
well it seems like this season will be the rise of some female characters
Sansa: will probably play a big role reuniting the northern families for the war against the Boltons
Daenerys: tough time ahead - will need to prove herself again...--> win over the dothrakis and unite the khalasars --> biggest army in GOT
Cercei: well this season will be her comeback - ice cold - i choose Violence
Ellaria: Will prepare the war against the lannisters
But she's always wrong... She pretty much had Stannis kill off his entire family for no god damn reason at all.I'd put Melisandre near the top of that list once she gets her swagger back. As one of R'hllor's oldest, wisest, and most powerful emissaries she will be an invaluable resource in the coming war with the White Walkers.
Step one of course is to bring back the Son of Fire.

Would Stannis, his family and Renly still be alive and well if he'd had never met Melly Sanders? Though something probably would've killed Renly, the people liked him though. That's a bit hyperbolic. She believed in Stannis and ultimately misread some of the more important flaming tea leaves as a result, but that doesn't discount the fact the visions themselves are mostly accurate , or that she can do some undeniably fantastic shit. Plus she essentially gave Stannis two armies he wouldn't have had without her. Meli is legit.
And hey, the snows did melt right after Shireen's sacrifice. While it didn't clear a path to Stannis taking Winterfell, it got Meli where she actually needed to be whether she realizes it yet or not.

And get spoiled about things that still haven't happened? No, thanks.
I'm just saying that I hope that one day the shows cover everything in the books so the threads don't have to be split. That'll probably never happened, though.
Card games don't exist in this thread.
It was quite funny when Dany's bad ass boast of a thousand titles had no effect on the Dothraki. This goes for Dany as well
I wish Sansa was the mother of dragons
Was that the actress Melisandre at the end or an actual old lady?
I believe it was the actress's face with makeup placed over the old woman's face. The rest was the old woman's body. Was that the actress Melisandre at the end or an actual old lady?
What about Theon taking Winterfell and betraying Robb. Completely his father's fault?
Not true. Name dropping her title as Khal Drogo's wife did a number on them. Khal Dime-a-Dozen was immediately like, "you're Drogo's widow? Well shit, sorry D&D but she's not available for rape."It was quite funny when Dany's bad ass boast of a thousand titles had no effect on the Dothraki.
I was mainly referring to her "breaker of chains, The Unburnt" routine. Not true. Name dropping her title as Khal Drogo's wife did a number on them. Khal Dime-a-Dozen was immediately like, "you're Drogo's widow? Well shit, sorry D&D but she's not available for rape."
Not sure if this a question for here or the book spoilers thread:
Do the Dornish ladies have a claim to the throne?
I know, I was just teasing lol.I was mainly referring to her "breaker of chains, The Unburnt" routine.

I thought there was only a civil war because Stannis is a by the books asshole? Nobody really wanted Stannis to rule if I'm not mistaken. Whole thing could've been avoided if Stannis just supported his brother and served on his council. I think with the appeal of Renly and the guidance of Stannis advising Renly something decent could've been worked out, instead of this constant power vacuum that exists.Impossible to say and that's kinda beside the point. But if you want to get technical, thousands of lives were saved by assassinating Renly and preventing a Baratheon Civil War. Also her taking Stannis North stopped another war and ended up saving thousands of Wildlings at Hardhome. She also saved Davos from being executed and will soon save Jon Snow from permadeath.
This of course speaks nothing of the countless lucky souls she's guide to the fiery bosom of the One True God!
Most of the young women in Dorne are Oberyn's daughters.isn't that one sand snake Oberyn's daughter
edit: or were they all his daughters? That's royal blood in any case

.
But Stannis and Renly technically had the same enemies. If they all had joined forces, this whole thing would probably be several seasons shorter. I get the claim with Stannis, I just think if Stannis wasn't all "bend the knee or be broken" they could've negotiated something. But Stannis is the man that chopped off the knuckles of his best friend and guy that SAVED HIS FUCKING LIFE for smuggling in some fucking onions.Stannis hadthe betteran actual claim to the throne and more experience as a leader and as a commander. He gave Renly a fair offer and was even willing to name him his heir.
The case for Renly is he was willing to team up with Robb Stark to take on the Lannisters. Provided he defeated Stannis in the Storm Lands, a Baratheon + Stark + Tyrell alliance would have been pretty hard to deny if it stuck.

But Westeros is still fucked. Only difference now is they decided to look back to see who's fucking them.Things would have been great under King Renly, until the Dead Army he no doubt would have dismissed hit, and Westeros is fucked. Stannis on the other hand saw becoming King and stopping the White Walkers as parts of the same mission. The crown was supposed to put him in the position to rally humanity against the only threat that truly matters. Give me King Stannis.

You shouldn't be in here if you're on your first viewing of GoT. There'll be too many spoilers.
Also, almost every episode 9 of a season has something big happening.
Watched episode 9 of season 1. Stark nooooooo. What the fuck? Shock death that just makes me angry.
True story.
Though any fan of Sean bean already knows that something terrible awaits him no matter what the material. One of my favorite actors, but there certainly is a trend with his fates. I see him in the credits of anything and I'm calling it immediately lol.

Stannis wouldn't play ball: https://youtu.be/4iimpkprnTkYeah but not before the end of season three. That's when Davos received word from castle black.
I wonder why Robb never tried to ally with Stannis. He clearly acknowledged that Stannis had a claim to the throne.

Anyone know Ned hasn't demanded Trial by Combat? Tyrion did it twice. Maybe wasn't smart enough.
He also still had a bum leg from the spear during his fight with Jamie.Ned believes in the Old Gods, I don't know if Trial by Combat is a thing with the Old Gods.
It's a thing for the Seven and for the Lord of Light, we've seen that.
Also, he probably knew whom he would be facing (The Mountain, probably). I think reason > faith for Ned.

I don't think he was the type to place his life in anothers hands. He could still ask for a champion to fight for him, as Tyrion did. His options would have been limited mind you, he certainly wouldn't have Robb go against the Mountain.
