We will (hopefully/possibly) be getting at least S/M screenshots in the next week or two before May's CoroCoro.

I'm not even hyped.

The game will look the exact same as XY/RS on its same crappy engine with what will just look like asset swaps. :/

Seeing as I ideally want to go in to the next Zelda knowing as little as possible, I doubt i'll actually be watching any of the Zelda E3

What did you all expect? They already prepared everyone for this last week.

Nintendo said that Zelda would be the only playable game. People still expected new trailers for other games we already know about, and a digital event.

Now we know it's literally just Zelda.

Guess we'll have to see what Nintendo has planned to show later this year at the NX reveal and their usually Nintendo Directs. I guess Nintendo values the later more then e3, it's not what we normally expect and clearly not what we wanted but I guess we'll find out in a year if this gambit plays off.

This was always inevitable ever since Nintendo stopped doing the press conference.

Can't believe people try defending Nintendo for not doing a press conference.

I thought it would be the other way around for direct and no treehouse tbh, but otherwise expected from the earlier hints. Live stream for a day will be manageable without everyone going insane like 3 days running might have caused.

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Looks like Nintendo has forgotten how to be a videogame company.

Hmm, maybe Nintendo is trying to Jon Snow us and pull a surprise launch this year. If they tell Obama no NX this year I'll take that as a confirmation :)

Well this truly is upsetting. I usually take the day off for the Nintendo e3 stuff but looks like I have no excuse this year. I'm excited for Zelda but I'd rather stay in the dark and be fully surprised when I first get to play the actual game.

Bummer. Even Nintendo should know better.

Could they at least give as a date for the reveal event? I mean anything to look forward to is always appreciated.... :/

Nintendo just keeps making it worse and worse. :(

In my mind they're pretty much taking this year off to regroup. I imagine we'll see the Direct for NX later in the year though.

Nintendo has been distancing themselves from E3, they probably don't see it as such an important event as it used to be. And to be fair, they're kind of right. It does make more sense for Nintendo to reveal the NX at their own conference later on when they're not competing for headlines.

Nintendo has taken the last 3 years off to regroup already. There is a point in time when you as a company are no longer viable. Nintendo is dangerously reaching that point.

Not even a fucking direct for 3ds games?

Way to go Nintendo. Keep up with your deafening silence. It sure won't alieniate your audience.

Wow, I thought I was ready for everything after seeing the announcements last week. Nintendo continues to achieve a new high. Although I am certain Nintendo knows what they are doing, I still fell disappointed.

Edit: on second thought, this reinforces the idea of a Nintendo convention. Okay. I will wait for it.
