For all that shit talking on twitter about COD I don't think they should be proud of what they showed. It was a CG trailer. The developers have nothing to show.

They should be ashamed of what they had to announce. Pathetic.

If you can't say anything except how cool things are then why have a conference and why have questions?

I really don't get the way publishers treat Video Game reveals like some sort of political secret that needs to be kept under wraps.

I will agree with the sentiments of how they shit talked the CoD trailer and not show legit gameplay outside of in engine canned stuff. Garbage move there DICE. Garbage just like that horrific song in which they certainly +1'd CoD with being even more garbage.

I was expecting actual gameplay after that shit talking that some employees of DICE did. But in reality the Battlefield 1 trailer was worst because Infinite Warfare showed significantly more gameplay. Terrible reveal from DICE.

Probably the best reveal in recent memory. I haven't been this excited about a game since this gen began.

See how subjective that is? Let's not talk in absolutes.

Just to confirm, this is going on the side of actual WWI/Realism and not Alternate Reality, right?

I missed most of the stream.

Not entirely clear yet. Nirolak and I were talking about the possibility that in the game the war dragged until 1920, allowing for better tanks, artillery, rifles, etc. That would open up a lot of gear possibilities, as well as give tanks a reason to have been improved to the point of being useful.

Just speculation, of course.

Remember PS4 owners, WE do not need EA Early Access. It's not a good value.... Guess i'll be buying a month on PC to play early. :/

Also $220 Deluxe Edition on Amazon but no details.

You keep saying that, but obviously it wasn't or else there wouldn't be people in here and 99% of people in Twitch chat asking where the gameplay is.

Who the fuck organizes an entire staged reveal event and only shows a 1-minute "in-engine" trailer?

This was hot harbage. "You know what, let's just all watch that trailer for the third time, because fuck it."

At this moment in time you should know better, i mean i have learned from these kinda streams be it EA or another company.

It always ends...

Oh boy, time to get ready for the dick sucking from the BF Youtubers lol. I'm thinking most will not say a bad thing about the stream or the game.

This post isn't by me, it's by a guy with the same username as me.
A loot of useless junk with that $220 (!!!!!) collectors edition.

Like, a messenger pigeon tube, are you for real EA?!

So this is only going to be WW1 in aesthetic and not really tone or accuracy, right?

They show footage of a guy running towards mustard gas while hip firing an LMG.

I have no fucking doubt that a large portion of the guns available in the game will be automatic.

It'll probably play more like a WW2 shooter, but with the aesthetic of WW1. So that means weird antiquated looking weapons.

Good thing I wasn't hyped for the show, because damn... that trailer was all they had to show? I get it that they still have EA's E3 show to go but damn.... a bit of gameplay wouldn't have hurt.

I already know I can look 'forward' to playing this at 720p on my Xbox One. Unless a new one will be announced, sigh.

Is the best place to buy on the PC the Origin Store? It looks like Amazon doesn't have the Early Enlister

Maybe that's why you didn't see gameplay yet?

Not always. The Bethesda mini-conference/reveals of Doom and Fallout 4 were worth tuning in for, even with the 'dudes on stage' segments.

Don't know if posted yet but:
(From Amazon)
Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition includes the Red Baron Pack and the Lawrence of Arabia Pack - containing themed weapons, vehicles and items. Plus five Battlepacks containing combinations of items. Also exchanges the visual appearance on three of the largest vehicles in the game. This Early Enlister edition allows you to play Battlefield 1 three days earlier starting from October 18.
Epic 64-Player Multiplayer Battles - Squad up with your friends and join in the most epic multiplayer battles in FPS history with up to 64 players fighting as infantry or piloting vehicles ranging from tanks and bikes on the ground to biplanes and gigantic battleships.
Experience the Dawn of All-out War - Be a part of the greatest battles ever known to man. From the heavily defended Alps to the scorching deserts of Arabia, war is raging on an epic scale on land, air and sea as you witness the birth of modern warfare.
Earth-shattering Intuitive Destruction - With intuitive destruction no battle is ever the same. Destroy vehicles big and small, and demolish entire buildings. From tiny wooden houses to massive stone forts, even the grounds on which you're fighting can be blasted apart.
War Stories from the Far Edges of the World - Discover a world at war through an adventure-filled campaign that captures the variety of a global conflict through the eyes of several different characters all united by this first modern war.

Not this shit again.

The devil's in the details, of which they're basically not sharing any yet, but the gist of things largely sound alright at least.
Somewhat iffy about what sounds like a bigger focus on close quarters and melee combat.
Encouraging to hear the right words being said regarding the single player, i.e. making it more like Battlefield, more player freedom etc.
Battlefield's campaigns have mostly been set in tight corridors with close-quarters combat, lacking the openness and variety that the multiplayer provides. That doesn't seem to be the case with Battlefield 1, however, as lead designer Danny Berlin told GameSpot at an event that the campaign "will more accurately reflect Battlefield's open sandboxes."

Berlin continued, saying DICE's World War I game will feature "much more choice and variety than [it's] done before." He also said the upcoming Battlefield's story will be about a multifarious group of people "dealing with the changing world in their own ways," and it'll allow players to take various, more open approaches.

Haha man fuck this industry.

This whole event was useless, for every fan watching.

Preorder to get your early access for more money because fuck those people who dont want to pay 20 euros more right?

80 euros + season pass? Whats that 140 euros?

Fuuuuuck this

So this stream answered two important questions. It's not future based. And it's equal access Xbox and PC. Good.

Unfortunately this created far too many questions at the same time. This was poorly managed imho. Still hyped though, but to be honest, poorly-poorly managed and thought out.

5x Battlepacks in the premium edition. Gross.
Just another full priced EA Game with Gatcha Micro transactions.

definitely going to buy a used copy

For reasons I don't really understand EA/DICE have announced an edition of the game that includes season pass just a few weeks before launch for BF4, Hardline, and Battlefront, so pre order buyers beware.

Its likely there will be a "digital premium" edition later down the road that includes game + SP + the early order bullshit at the best price point.
