But they aren't real. So what's the issue with interchanging them especially when the difference is so negligible?

After XY I don't trust their capabilities at making it great enough to have both a great standard trainer for those who like it old-fashion and custom options for those who want it their way. I love that owl so much! Once during a trip to Disney World my family and I were walking back to our hotel and when we turned a corner there was a huge owl just standing right there on the railing, not 5 feet away from me. It looked at me, I looked at him. We sat there staring at each other for a good 5 minutes. After it flew off it was then that I knew that owls were my spirit animals. Well them and gorillas.
This new owl Pokemon is a sign of good fortune to come within my life.

The Owl looks cute. The other two look terrible. The Seal looks like a poor fan-made Pokemon.

Hawaii is a shoe in and I'll be very surprised if Maui isn't in too. I also hope we get to visit them all. Make one or two post game only.

I forgot to mention how pleased I am with the game not looking entirely grid based. XY still had that flat look just raised off the ground a little. So to me it was essentially the Gameboy games with more advanced graphics.
This actually looks like they're trying to really go for it this time. Though It's not exactly what I want, it looks to be a huge step in the right direction. I just hope environmental obstacles aren't relegated to only gyms once more.

The problem seems to rest with people who think the mythological dragon was some standard concept. It wasn't. You look at medieval artwork, you'll see anything from limbless snake-like dragons to two-legged two-winged dragons to four-limbed flightless dragons to the "conventional" design.
The wyvern is a more specific concept... A two-legged, two-winged dragon. It's only more recently the idea of the wyvern being separate from dragons started showing up in certain pop cultural works like Dungeons and Dragons.

Anyway, i have mixed feelings about this trailer. And I'm usually the one to defend everything that has to do with pokemon.
First the starters: well my first impression was mehhh but i think they will grow on me (it has already begun). It was the same in in 6. Gotta go with fire again which i always pick (except for gen 6, fuck delphox, my boy chesnaught rocked though)
The legendaries: wtf is that moon legendary 😂😂 looks really weird in my opinion. The sun one is way better
The setting: when i saw the concept art in the first trailer i got pretty hyped cause i love tropical settings but this trailer didnt do too much to me. But this is like the first town or whatever so we have only seen a small amount of the region so i can't judge this.
Graphics: awesome improvement on the overworld, love the full models and the trainers in battle (although that might only be the case for important battles). Otherwise the battles do not seem to have changed that much. Dynamic camera and gridless environment looks dope.
Music: im disappointed in the main theme
the trumpets and horns or whatever really sound lame. Kind like oras' theme but shittier. XY's main theme was so awesome. Together with the first trailer it was pure hype. This time it was not that good. I hope the music will be as good as in XY.Other things: customization, yesssss! Europe getting the games one week later again sucks though. Fuck that.

Same here. Feels pretty good to be excited about a Pokémon game.
Even that's generous. Besides showing the box legendaries, I'm pretty sure almost all the ingame footage is from just the first town, up until you pick your starter and the rival battle afterwards. The only other part I could see being further along is the street/buildings shot, which, going off of the region/island shot, is right near the starting town anyway. That's an hour of gameplay at most.
Either way, good luck with your blackout. I've always thought it would be nice to go into a Pokemon somewhat fresh, but I know I wouldn't be able to do that.

The owl is freaking adorable, and I love cats so I'm all about Litten too. He looks a little generic but I'm sure his evolutions will be pretty cool. No a fan of the seal tbh.

My biggest gripe is they just kinda look more like normal wild pokemon, and less like starters if that makes sense. I've never thought that before, so I'm not sure what the cause is.
