He said they're focusing more on first party than third party, not that they wouldn't do none (or even less, depending on how you want to read into that).
They could even do more third party deals and he'd still be correct as long as they focus even harder on 1st party, but I don't think that's what he meant

I don't even have an xbone yet I'm pretty excited to see their conference, rumors or not. Especially Halo Wars 2 and Scalebound. Those are the two big potential system sellers for me.

What's with the disappointment over Battletoads? People have been asking for it for decades, and now that they're getting it, they're like "No! Make Banjo instead!"
Don't get me wrong, I want Banjo Threeie as much as the next poster, but sometimes I feel like people want Rare to work on platformers and nothing else. That's not what Rare was really all about.

MS actually has a pretty good roster of characters now that they could use for a Smash Bros clone. It will never happen, but it would be pretty awesome.
Probably another Halo announcement as well, right? Don't they usually announce them 18+ months out? I think MCC was the exception.
Rare really did cover a very wide selection of genres in the N64 era. FPS, TPS, racing, action adventure, action platformer. They have a huge array of classics that they could go back to, but I think people latch into Banjo because it was a lot of people's platformer of choice back on the N64, so a fair number of people hold it in as high regard as Mario.
Personally I'd love to see a new Banjo, but of all the Rare properties I would like a new Jet Force Gemini more than anything. That game could come back as a really awesome Ratchet and Crank kind of game, which is something MS doesn't have.

People don't want Rare to make platformers, they want them to make the real Banjo Kazooie 3. They've gone ahead and kept that franchise in people's minds through teasing and a couple additional releases post Microsoft acquire, but they never just gave people the Banjo 3 that they wanted. I think people might have given up roaring about Banjo Threeie had the XBLA ports not come out and Nuts and Bolts not come out and initially been teased as a traditional Banjo game.

I'll tell you this - everyone is comparing this rumor list to last year's announcements, and although in total if you count all the games they will also likely be showing it ends up being a good list, it's not going to sell any more Xbox Ones, especially if last year's list couldn't break PS4 sales.
But seriously, they are going to have to top last year's announcements considerably, or else the general public isn't going to give the Xbox One a second look. They're not going to want to let this E3 get away from them. So I hope there's more, because good sequels and the assorted exclusive just won't cut it.

They are not going to outsell sony no matter what, that ship has sailed. They are doing the right thing focus on keeping their existing fanbase happy.

Some of these seem like common sense stuff or stuff we knew about (sea, ki,hw) do it's not really shocking but the stuff that's been implied/rumoured before like BT is OK, not really something I personally would be amazed at mostly cause I really didn't like the nes game. I hope this is to just to throw the internet off a bit and hope the really really good stuff stays hidden until e3
