Response to the Combo Breaker 2016 Incident

After reviewing the details from all parties we have come to a decision to release Noel Brown from the Ultra Arcade team, and ban Noel from competing in ALL Ultra Arcade Events, & ALL Killer Instinct World Cup Qualifiers (Including the Cup itself) for the duration of the KIWC 2017 Season.

We will re-evaluate Noel’s eligibility to attend our events in the 2018 season.

Ultra Arcade and KI World Cup have a Zero Tolerance for Sexual Harassment and we do not condone any acts of harassment. Warranted or Unwarranted that type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

We would like to thank Richard Thiher(Head of Combo Breaker) for helping us get to the bottom of everything and getting everything resolved in a timely matter.

Burnout excuse is so weak. Why should you be rested while the other person has to go through a gauntlet and be tired? How is that fair? Top players don't want to play scrubs but still want those players money... Fighters aren't even at a point where the majority of pots come from sponsors. It's like top players forget that they're a very small fraction of the players who attend tournaments.

Leffen hasn't been going to tournaments as much this year because of his visa issues. His burnout he's supposed to be feeling has to be less than say, Armada, or any of the top American melee players.

Who did everyone here have the most fun playing as in Injustice BTW?

For me:

1. Bane-armor for days, and ate every wakeup in the game. Ruins every bracket.
2. Hawkgirl-Learned to counterpick Superman. Loved because shes everything Green Arrow didnt get to be.
3. Shazam-Learned after elbow patch gave him a great starter and made his combos so fun.

That order too. 3rd is tight though with Batgirl coming in reaaaaaaaaal close. Them flying bats and teleports.

Nightwing- Enjoyed his equivalent of Viper's seismo. Do it that thang twice, then Meter burn the last one. Gets them every time.

I don't understand corporate culture. From the tweets it sounds like they didn't like that Capcom USA put out a roadmap, because it sounds like they knew they wouldn't have been able to keep to it, hence the blame. But why can't they communicate? I understand there is a language barrier but we absolutely know that they have capable bilingual people working within the company, so why keep secrets? What harm is it for one branch to share information with the other? They aren't in direct competition, they freaking are meant to work together! I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom USA are running around like chickens trying to piece together something out of radio silence.

Not even Sega of that era (where the friction between regions was beyond real) was brazen enough to publicly throw another division under the bus like that. That just strikes me as beyond insane, and if anything it's just going to make the divide worse. Why even bother trying to stay in line when you're going to turn into roadkill anyway?
