Existing Xbox One owners - are you still happy with your purchase?

Just curious how other Xbox One owners now feel about their purchase with the announcement of Play Anywhere and Scorpio. If you could do it over, would you buy it again?

Sure. I wish I could ditch the Kinect and still have voice commands, but other than that it's fine.

Yes, and I'm excited for Scorpio. Let's be honest, the Xbox One has some great experiences on it but it hasn't aged well at all this gen, especially with PCs getting 7-8 TF cards this year for a relatively cheap price.

That's in preview right now.

Worth it for Halo and Sunset overdrive alone, although if I'd known everything was coming to PC I would have just waited. As it stands, I'll upgrade my rig going forward with Win10 & this will be my last Xbox console.

Yeah, and I'm gonna sell or trade toward an S. Looks really nice. For me all consoles have just enough exclusives/reasons to own them, Xbox One is no exception. Having stuff like Killer Instinct, Halo, Forza and Gears is great. I would like to see more, yeah, but it's good enough for me at least for the time.

That being said I'm not at all a fan of the UI or how absolutely sluggish it is. I imagine things like this will be ironed out over time though, especially with Scorpio.

Also, best controller.

No never have been. Underpowered, underdelivered.
Ended up double dipping on almost ever game on PC, and Halo 5 ended up being disappointing.

The best thing about it was Kinect and they have all but abandoned it.

That said, I think the slim looks okay, and had it launched like that, it would've been easier to swallow.

Pumped for Scorpio.

Since I have a PC not really. I'm really considering selling it after I finish a few games that I have on the system.

Can't call myself an owner anymore after yesterday but up until then I mainly used it for Halo and Gears but now that its been basically confirmed that all major exclusives will be brought over to the PC I don't see a reason for spreading my money around 3 ways this generation as I pc game and have a ps4.

I wouldn't say I'm happy but I don't regret it because the main reason I bought it still stands (Rock Band). I was hoping for continued support with exclusives for a few more years though.

If Rock Band 4 PC ever becomes a reality I'll sell it, and I've never sold a console before.

I've owned the Xbox One since Titanfall, and I've never been satisfied with it. I like things about it, but I jump at any chance to upgrade the experience (I bought the Elite controller and an SSD, for example). The Scorpio finally seems like a console that can deliver an amazing 1080p/60fps experience, and if it delivers I'll upgrade in a heartbeat and ditch the One.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
I have literally not had a single game I've wanted to play on it, largely because all of the interesting games have been better on other platforms, and I consider it the worst console I've ever owned.

So, no. I'm not happy with the purchase and wouldn't buy Scorpio.

Definitely. But I don't see this as announcements that make my purchase irrelevant, having play anywhere and a more powerful console (that I definitely plan on buying) in the longer term has potential to have even more games for me.

It's been worth it to me to be able to play exclusives right when they come out plus Ea access has been helpful and nice when you just wanna play something for an hour or so. It's not my primary system so for the purpose it's served I'm very happy with it.

At least you can talk. Who are you?
I get to play four free games a month, a bunch of EA games for £20 a year and I can use the controller with my computer too.

Very happy.

Yeah, still happy with it. Even though I payed the full $499 at launch for the Kinect bundle, I would do it over again. I've played a ton of games and watched a ton of TV through it over the past few years.

I'm not sure what my next hardware purchase will be. If the NX is underwhelming, I'll probably just go for more power, so a PC or Scorpio.

I'm good with my purchase. Probably wouldn't have gotten it at launch, but I've enjoyed it. I have more games than any system I've had in the past with GwG and discounts. First system was a NES in 1988. I'll most likely move to Scorpio when that comes because I want to keep all my XB1 and XB360 BC games all in one place. Going the PC route leaves all that behind or having to have my XB1 still plugged up. XboxS is nice but if you just want an XBox One you can find a refurbished one for $190.

I have over 200 hours across the 3 Forza games released so yeh, I guess it had been worth it for that but... those are the only games I play on the console so if I had known play anywhere was going to happen I would have waited and not got one.

I plan to upgrade my PC to Windows 10 if Horizon 3 runs well on there and has wheel support then sell my Xbox one.

In light of Xbox One S and Scorpio I'm glad I held off. Think I'll wait till there's more info on Scorpio before I take the plunge. By then there'll be a decent Xbox exclusive back catalogue too.

I love mine but I don't have a PS4 for comparison.

I use the voice commands and TV features all the time, so I hope they improve them. Sounds like the S drops hdmi passthru and the dvr features were scrapped so I'm not optimistic scorpio will do much in that area.

Yep I'm very happy, well with the games and the controller. The console itself is very weird and glitchy at times.

Like problems with connectivity and having to hard reset a lot especially being in the preview program.

With Spiderman and Uncharted I am very tempted to buy a base PS4 soon.

If I didn't still play Forza 6 so much I'd sell my Xbone right now since all the exclusives are coming out on PC now too. I don't regret buying it but I doubt I'll be buying anything for it anymore.

Sure. Still using it daily. Play anywhere is great too, I can play games on the TV when my wife is using the PC and continue the same game on the PC when she's watching some TV shows.

Elite controller is too legit to quit.
360 back compat is too legit to quit.
Some marketplace games are sweet and MS puts effort into indie efforts.
With that said most of the big guns are just better experiences on the ps4 though.

I see what MS is doing and building up the One as a platform where my peripherals and purchases will be compatible moving forward. Slowly but surely they will be able to totally drop this underpowered box.. They're doing everything they can to keep afloat and it's working. Can't wait for Scorpio

Absolutely? Announcements of the future don't take away the precious time I had spent with it and enjoyed?

And the announcements just make it better

Why wouldn't I be happy? I have been using my Xbox One heavily since release since the cable TV box is connected to it and it is my main streaming device. Scorpio coming out soon is great. No longer will I have to endure the Xbox 720 type of ridicules from supporters of the other platform.

I thought Halo 5's multiplayer was wonderful, and it was fun to fuck around with Rare Replay, but it's gathered dust since I got a PS4 and the news at E3 pretty much confirmed it'll live the rest of its life as a (hefty) paperweight. Although I suppose Halo 6 has to come out at some stage...

Yes. I am happy. I don't really care about the scorpio, the one s or the play anywere initiative right now so I will stick with my xbox one.

Why would I not? Nothing has changed. Use Voice control for my TV everyday. HDMI in makes Games, Netflix, Hulu and YouTube just a voice command away and back to TV just as quick. I really hope Scorpio has HDMI in.

Yup I'm still good I use my PC for WoW and one off steam games especially since multiplats aren't cross buy

Owning all the consoles and a decent PC, not really. The games I'm hyped for will end up being on PC, I wish I had spent this money on a better PC.

Yes, I still prefer it for multiplats that don't run too much worse than PS4. Played a decent amount of good exclusives on it. 360 BC I've actually used to finish two games so far.

It's a good box.
