Not having a stake in this at all, but I sympathize with every UK citizen who voted Remain.

This is a disastrous outcome, with horrible implications in both the financial and social circles.

Now the thought of Trump winning seems even more viable than ever, as I though Remain was the obvious win.

Fuck.

Well, America's done for as well. Trump can say he called this like a boss and he'll take the presidency.

How fast can I move my family to Sweden?

One things for certain, aint gonna give us a referendum again for a looooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg time.

I am honestly proud of my fellow peeps in the UK. I was a leave voter but I was fully expecting remain to win. I honestly did not think this country had any fucking balls left to vote for leave. I am so glad they have found the balls to do this.

On another note god I would love to see Davey Camerons fucking face right now.
I know this is something late reply but yes, so glad we've had the guts to fuck up our economy completely.

This decision is senseless. I'm seriously in utter shock. When I'm looking for graduate jobs I imagine I'm going to be having a much harder time. And what do we get in exchange for this economic risk? A tiny bit of pooled sovereignty back. Madness.

This is one of the worst days in British political history. And I think in 10 years many will see it that way.

Man. Back to back years where British voters completely shit the bed.
Since I've been voting, the vote I've gone with has never won. How do I feel about the voting populace...

So, I was planning a trip to New York in a months time, but hadn't booked the tickets yet. Is the pound dropping going to fuck over the prices/make it more expensive?

Unless things bounce back very quickly (which I doubt) things are already 10% more expensive.

Is this the beginning of the end for the EU? Would Germany or France also vote to leave in the next few years?

It always seems weird to put to a popular vote very significant decisions like this, while people bitch at the US congress for getting nothing done in many ways it kind of shows you why its sometimes smart to have so many layers of power, so nothing can be done quickly yet slow progress can wind its way through. If it was up to popular vote US would never have passed the civil rights or marriage equality laws.

I feel like some Brits may have voted leave out of pure morbid curiosity of what the consequence would be if they did leave. Wonder if people in the US will vote Trump under similar pretenses.

When does Scotland leave the UK and rejoin the EU?
Immediately, hopefully.

This actually gives me hope that this won't benefit Trump. We Americans value our money far too much to ignore what's happening economically as a direct result of this.

David Cameron was so desperate not to be remembered for the pig incident that he set in motion the disintegration of the United Kingdom.

This is gonna mess with our 401ks in the US isn't it.

Damnit.

I don't get why people follow day to day changes in their 401k anyways. Unless you plan on cashing out everything then day to day volatility should not be an issue to be concerned about. The long term trend of the market is still obviously upwards.

I am going to London on Saturday (from the US).

With the pound collapsing, should I be buying up scotch, etc. to take advantage of the favorable exchange rate.

What are some unique goods to buy in the UK?

Too soon?
