I do have confidence in their ideas, as I really enjoyed the new ideas that the Wii brought to the table, but the way that he spoke about the idea for the NX makes it seem like they're still working on it, or even worse, haven't fully figured out what it is.

If the supplementary computer device thing is legit, the reality might not be too far off, if the NX is a device that is able to interact with other devices like the supplementary device patent suggested, rigging the NX to run "on your computer" might not be impossible.

That puzzled me, everyone freaking out when NX, Neo and (what we now call) Scorpio was leaking, thinking it was just around the corner, and saying how it was too soon for new consoles.

By the time any of this comes to fruition, it will have been about 5 years since the last consoles, or a full 5-year cycle. Like it used to be.

Western publishers can support NX without knowledge of the gimmick. They can add the Gimmick portions later closer to launch or ignore them altogether. PS4 games got ported from PC/PS3 and had simultaneous releases. It is just a matter of effort and will.

Most people doesn't want gimmick, but most people that are saying that is still using those gimmicks....


Many companies are suprised by nx, that wouldn't be the case if they think it was just another simple gimmick.

Nintendo should have something special there, they also change the game industry with their gimmick: rumble and 3d stick, so i believe they can do it again.


Also people have to know they will step away of the idea what they did with wiiu or wiimote, it would be different.
So who still think we would get the same thing really need to do some research first.
