Tried running romhacks on my 3DSXL but it had low performance? Will this ghosting thing fix that performance, or is good performance exclusive to N3DS?

can share how to update CFW?I haven't touched my homebrew since like February or March.
I'm on ReiNAND on 10.5.0-30. Is it safe to update or do I have to go update new files onto the sd card for my n3DS?
I really really do not feel like re-homebrewing everything since it was already a pain to get it started in the first place.
If ReiNAND is still okay and I can stick with it and just update to the latest firmware I'd like to just keep doing this since it was hard enough the first time.

Finally went all in and got A9LH up and running.
Tried running Final Fantasy V Advance through gpsp but I'm getting dips to 40fps right off the bat. Using a New 3DS, is this performance typical of the emulator?
I know I can just inject it and install as .cia, but I'd rather all my retro stuff to be as drag and drop as possible. Is having individual gba .cias on the homescreen going to be my best bet performance wise?
edit - Also, sleep-mode is super important. Is this supported in any way for gba games?

Definitely. GBA injection is the best.
I don't think sleep mode is supported for GBA games... but then again, every single game is closed when you put the console in sleep mode. Do you mean making it "suspended"? If so, no. You need to close the game to return to the Home menu.
Yeah, a suspend mode would be awesome, but oh well. Time to figure out this injection stuff!
Hi, I just found out about the NRT wifi streaming and would like to try it but I'm really new in this so can someone point me where to start? I got a N3DS 11.0.0-33U Thanks in advance.
You can't. Your firmware is too high, which means you cannot downgrade or use any hacks which would allow it.
Sorry man.
Is it possible to make digital games region free? I'm asking because I saw this post in the BST thread:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=208221753&postcount=1752
lol,supercard DS2 plus just released their own launcher to support 11.0 system
and it's a fork or reiNAND.
also it doesn't support sysNAND .
i mean,,,wow,first they stole GW launcher,and now they are using reiNAND code.
What about GPL?but that's how open source works, they just have to release the source code to comply with the license
ShadowNAND will let you boot to cfw sysnand without SD in it,it's like permanent CFW.What's the deal with shadowNAND? Is it worth "upgrading" to it if I'm sitting confortably on A9HL?

However,it's still early in development.
and it uses A9LH.
I know, but is worth installing right now? I see many people are installing it, even if it's not as stable as "regular" A9HL today.
Can someone tell me where to start following this guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki (A9LH) if I already have a working emunand with RxTools?
I think I'm in the same boat. I waited like 4 months for this stuff to mature
I'm currently on 9.2 sysnand with a 10.4 emunand running rein. Whats the best guide and is there anything made for people starting off from this point? Or should I just update Reinand and stick with what i got.
Honestly, it is confusing as fuck tbh. According to posts in gbatemp you will keep all your games/saves that are in your emunand/rednand, but I don't see how....

it may seem confusing and overwhelming perhaps, but the plailect guide is very good. It's complete and very clear. Just go through it step by step, don't rush things. Completing the guide takes a couple of hours, it's worth it.
Since I'm already on 9.2 and emunand 10.4 , where do I start? What do I skip?
first use this to move from RXtools to Luma3DS
http://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-updating-from-rxtools-to-luma3ds.427735/
after that delete RXtools files and you can continue from that guide.
Menuhax
In the Luma3DS zip, go into the menuhax folder and drag and drop the boot.3dsx file to the root of your SD, replacing any that exists.
Now when you turn on your 3DS, it will automatically boot straight into Luma3DS.
CTR Boot Manager
If your 3DS boots into a boot menu called "CTRBootManager", you need to add the "Luma3DS.dat" file to your SD card's root.
Then you need to edit the boot.cfg file on your SD card to include Luma3DS, as follows:

{
title = "Luma3DS";
path = "/Luma3DS.dat";
offset = "0x12000";
},
^ Do you still have tubehax DNS set in WiFi settings? It blocks system updates and eshop access.
I just bought a used N3DSXL off of someone on craigslist and it has firmware 10.7.0-32U. Any reason to stay on this one or should I update?

update if you wish to never, ever use any homebrew again
or you could not update, downgrade, install a CFW and update forever with keeping the benefits of homebrew and region free.
Thanks. Does the guide in the op cover the downgrade, or is there a newer guide?If you feel skittish about AL9h and its requirements to downgrade to firmware 2.x, which is unsupported by N3DS and has a slight tendency to brick systems, you can just use the AL9h install guide and stop at the RedNAND stage.
Same feature set as AL9h, with slightly longer startup times and ~2 GB of your SD card being needed.
Thanks. Does the guide in the op cover the downgrade, or is there a newer guide?
Thanks! This will be my first time trying this out. Hope I don't brick it!Use this guide it's really good.
